UK: Flawed census that grossly overestimated number of trans people ‘must be investigated’

Britain’s statistics quango faces an official investigation over a faulty census question which appears to have drastically overestimated the number of trans people in the country.

A campaign group has written to a watchdog to demand it take regulatory action in order to secure public confidence in national statistics.

They said action was required to ensure the faulty question is not replicated in future years.

It comes after the 2021 census in England and Wales reported there were 262,000 trans people, equivalent to 0.5 per cent of the population.

The myth behind ‘Transgender Day of Remembrance’

The dangers faced by trans people are being wildly exaggerated to promote a dangerous ideology.

As the season of goodwill approaches, spare a thought for the group that considers itself the most vulnerable in the UK. No, I’m not talking about the poor, sick or homeless. I’m talking about the trans people who, occasionally, might have to deal with funny looks, being misgendered or one hell of bollock-rub when wearing tights designed for women. Thankfully for them, this week has been designated as Transgender Awareness Week. And it’s one of the highlights of the corporate calendar.

The interview that exposed the ridiculousness of trans ideology

On hearing that a trans-woman, the activist Steph Richards, was to be appointed CEO of an endometriosis charity, many feminists rolled our eyes, wondering if parody was dead.

There has been huge pushback against appointing a biological male as head of an organisation concerned with women’s gynaecological health, for obvious reasons. Many newspapers covered the issue, and I figured this would be one of those moments that might convince sceptics or even the ‘trans-women are women’ crew that this has all gone way too far.

Female pool player Lynne Pinches refuses to play transgender opponent and walks off

A pool player has forfeited her chance to win a top national title in protest at the sport allowing a transgender woman to compete against natal females.

Lynne Pinches told Telegraph Sport she has turned down an invitation to turn full-time professional amid her despair at a “U-turn” in international rules.

On Saturday, Pinches was cheered by spectators as she packed up her cue and refused to play as the final of the Ladies Champions of Champions got under way. Her opponent, Harriet Haynes, reacted with bemusement before later picking up the trophy by default.

BBC in gender row as training course created to increase the number of female production staff opened to trans women

The BBC has become embroiled in a trans row after a training course created to increase the number of female production staff was opened up to anyone identifying as a woman.

The six-day course, called BBC: Female Self-Shooters, was designed to teach women how to become camera operators – a role that has long been male-dominated in companies across the industry.

An advert shared around the Corporation says of the course: ‘Aimed at female (and those identifying as female) TV producers or those at producer level, who will be in a position to use the acquired skills after the training, e.g. as 2nd camera operators, shooting taster tapes or directing your own self-shot film. If self-shooting camera skills are a barrier to your progress, this is the course for you!’

Nurse tells B.C. hearing she’s not transphobic, but calls gender identity ‘metaphysical nonsense’

A B.C. nurse accused of making numerous “derogatory and discriminatory” public statements about transgender people took the stand in her discipline hearing on Friday, telling the panel considering her case that she is not transphobic.

During a hearing at the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives, Amy Hamm of New Westminster testified that her advocacy on social and other platforms is meant to protect women and children from what she described as dangerous infringements into sex-segregated spaces.

“I’m not transphobic. I don’t have any issue with trans people — it’s the infringement on women and children’s rights,” Hamm told the college disciplinary panel.

AB InBev promises $1bn buyback after Bud Light controversy

The world’s biggest brewer is to return $1 billion to investors via its first-ever share buyback as it battles to restore its fortunes in the wake of the Bud Light furore.

Anheuser-Busch InBev’s revenues in the US slumped by 13.5 per cent in the third quarter after a conservative backlash over a social media promotional campaign with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer.

Bud Light was toppled from its No 1 spot in the US after the beer brand sent a personalised can to Mulvaney in April. The social media star made a post about the can, sparking a boycott that sent sales plummeting.

Notre Dame President Defends Drag Shows on ‘Catholic’ Campus

The hypocrisy evinced by Notre Dame leadership is appalling.

The president of a self-described Catholic university is endorsing controversial drag shows on campus, despite students’ protests. Ahead of a drag show “symposium” scheduled for November 3rd at the University of Notre Dame, the school’s president Fr. John Jenkins is defending the perverse performances as a matter of “academic freedom” and “freedom of expression.” Students seeking to preserve the institution’s historical Catholic identity have been emailing Jenkins with concerns that the drag shows — which are part of a one-credit course presented by the Film, Television, and Theater Department on the history of drag — are in conflict with the Catholic Church’s teachings on gender and sexual morality.

Amy Hamm’s Tranny witch hunters say they alone should decide who is an expert on the tranny mind

Lawyer says contentious psychologist will ‘dispel the myth’ that B.C. nurse’s comments harm trans people

The legal team for a B.C. nurse facing potential discipline over her public statements about transgender people is arguing that a controversial psychologist should be allowed to give expert evidence suggesting there is social value and scientific truth in her opinions.

Amy Hamm’s lawyer argued Wednesday that Toronto psychologist James Cantor’s evidence is necessary to counter the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives’ contention that Hamm has committed unprofessional conduct.

“He can dispel the myth that Amy Hamm’s opinions … will lead to actual harm to transgender people or deter them from seeking medical care,” lawyer Karen Bastow said Wednesday during a hearing on whether Cantor should be qualified as an expert witness.

You can’t have a proper witch hunt if you allow dissenting opinions.

The curious case of the male sorority sister

The liberal media’s fawning over oddball Artemis Langford has revealed the misogyny at the heart of the trans cult.

Guess which sorority sister is Artemis Langford

Imagine it’s 1997 and you are a young, edgy, fun-loving feminist. The world you live in has produced Girl Power, ladette culture and Take Back the Night marches. You and your girlfriends have said ‘Hell No!’ to creepy men and you own your sexual empowerment. Then, a terrible accident befalls you and you fall into a coma. You awake from the coma in 2023 to find that those who call themselves feminists today are defending the rights of predators to enter women’s spaces and are celebrating girls who cut off their breasts and take testosterone. ‘But wait’, you cry, confused from your hospital bed. ‘Aren’t we supposed to be protecting women, and teaching girls that they are fine just the way they are?’ And then you are kicked out of the hospital and denied further medical care for being a transphobe.
