Black Freedmen struggle for recognition as tribal citizens

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — As the U.S. faces a reckoning over its history of racism, some Native American tribal nations that once owned slaves also are grappling with their own mistreatment of Black people.

When Native American tribes were forced from their ancestral homelands in the southeastern United States to what is now Oklahoma in the 1800s — known as the Trail of Tears — thousands of Black slaves owned by tribal members also were removed and forced to provide manual labor along the way. Once in Oklahoma, slaves often toiled on plantation-style farms or were servants in tribal members’ homes.

Kim Potter – Don’t Confuse an Accident with a Crime

For those who think now-former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter should be charged with a crime – let alone murder – I have a simple question: if a surgeon accidentally nicks an artery and kills a patient when she mistakes the scalpel in her hand for a prober, should she be charged with murder, or even manslaughter?

Answer: no.

After all, the surgeon did this thing we all do: she made a mistake. She had no ill intent, let alone malice.

Is Black Lives Matter Really Left-Wing?

Black Lives Matter is now more powerful than it has ever been, and it’s just getting started. But will the rise of black nationalism conflict with the rise of other radical factions of the modern Left?

Tucker Carlson said back in 2020 that the Black Lives Matter movement had become so powerful that it was now essentially operating as a political party, and held just as much influence. If the recent verdict in the Derek Chauvin case is any indication, then BLM has already become more than a party; it is now its own institution. From the nationwide race riots of last summer through today to directly intimidating defense witnesses, there is no question that BLM made this verdict happen; even the jurors will (indirectly) admit to this.

Working-class people of color hate the riots the lefty elite keeps cheering

When Americans fight about race or culture, the fight is almost always really about social class. And that shows up in today’s discussions about riots and policing.

The Daily Caller recently sent a video correspondent to Brooklyn Center, Minn., scene of many police-shooting-related riots, and to Washington, DC, home of America’s ruling class, and asked people in both places when and if rioting was justified. The answers differed sharply.

Dylan Shakespeare Robinson fined $12m sentenced to 4 years for Minneapolis police station arson during George Floyd riots

Antifa Loser

A man has been ordered to pay $12m (£8.6m) for his role setting a Minneapolis police station on fire during rioting last May.

The fine for Dylan Shakespeare Robinson, 23, who pleaded guilty to an arson charge in December, will follow a four year prison sentence.

Robinson’s lawyer has said “there is no realistic chance” his client will be able to afford the fine.

Three other men who also pleaded guilty will be sentenced at a later date.

One Year After George Floyd, Minneapolis Is “Murderapolis” Again

Between January 1 and April 25, the number of homicides increased by 92% compared to the same period in 2020. More than 80% of the shooting victims in 2020 were black.

“There’s way more people it seems like with guns now than there ever has been,” another Minneapolis cop told me, and “much less hesitation to use them.” These officers theorize that the explanation for the crime surge is related to the city’s political climate over the past year, which in their view has allowed perpetrators to wreak havoc without consequence. “They feel emboldened and they feel untouchable, in my opinion,” the cop said.

Feds ‘had secret plan to arrest Derek Chauvin in court if he was cleared of killing George Floyd’

Secret Department of Justice plans to arrest Derek Chauvin in court had he been cleared of murdering George Floyd have been revealed.

Multiple sources told the Star Tribune federal prosecutors were ready to move in and charge the white ex-cop on federal counts moments after a not guilty verdict on charges of second and third-degree murder, as well as manslaughter, or in the event of a mistrial.

Department of Justice prosecutors now also plan to bring civil rights violations charges – akin to hate crimes – against Chauvin and the three other cops on duty with him when Floyd was killed in May 2020.

Black Supremacy – The hate that dare not speak its name.

When a white police officer in Ohio shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant, stopping her from plunging a butcher knife into the chest of an unarmed black teenager, the racial melodrama that is destroying the very fabric of American society reached what the “woke” refer to as an “inflection point.” At that moment, the narrative of the national lynch mob – verdict first, due process be damned – collided with an impossible reality: a white cop saving the life of a black child. Unable to resolve this dilemma, the woke mob simply refused to see it.

The Insanity of the Left’s ‘Let the Kids Have Their Knife Fights’ Argument

Protect Black Girls??? Isn’t that what the police officer did?

One of the more insane developments from the tragic shooting death of knife wielding Ma’Khia Bryant in Columbus, Ohio, has been the emergence of a desperate fantasy from the political left:

The “Let the kids have their knife fights” coalition that must think “West Side Story” is real life.

Prosecutor says Andrew Brown hit deputies with car before fatal shooting and judge delays releasing body camera footage

A North Carolina prosecutor said Andrew Brown Jr. hit law enforcement officers with his car before they opened fire, while a judge ordered a 10-day delay for the release of body camera footage in his fatal shooting on April 21.

District Attorney Andrew Womble told a judge at a hearing Wednesday he disagreed with a characterization by attorneys for the family of Brown that his vehicle was stationary when the shooting started, citing body camera footage he saw.

The video showed Brown’s car made contact with law enforcement twice before gunfire was heard on the video, Womble claimed, according to WSOC-TV.

How the Left Turned Chauvin Into a Racist Killer

How the Left Turned Chauvin Into a Racist Killer

They needed a cause as epic as the damage — and they needed a villain.

Although he made up his mind before jury did, President Joe Biden quickly went public once he learned that the Minneapolis jury had, in fact, convicted former police officer Derek Chauvin on all charges.

“It was a murder in the full light of day, and it ripped the blinders off for the whole world to see the systemic racism the vice president just referred to — the systemic racism that is a stain on our nation’s soul.” So said the only president to have given a eulogy at the funeral of an Exalted Klan Cyclops, and that just 10 years before Floyd’s death.

Andrew Brown autopsy shows he was shot five times, attorneys say

Details regarding the shooting from police authorities continue to remain scarce, though Brown had a 180-page rap sheet that dates back to May 1988

Attorneys for the family of Andrew Brown, a black man whom police shot and killed during a drug warrant arrest on Wednesday, said an autopsy concluded he was hit five times before he succumbed to his wounds.

The legal team hired an independent pathologist to conduct an autopsy, which found that Brown was shot five times, including twice on the arm and once in the back of the head, the team said at a Tuesday press briefing. The round that struck Brown’s skull was purportedly the one that killed him, and the other two shots were not mapped out by the lawyers.
