NBC report on Ma’Khia Bryant shooting doesn’t show the knife in her hand for some reason

… Nicholas Fondacaro of the Media Research Center made a nice catch with this NBC News report on the shooting last night. Instead of just freeze-framing the knife to show viewers that Bryant was attacking, NBC attributed the claim to police: Police say that Bryant had a knife in her hand and a knife was found next to her after she fell. That leaves the viewer with a bit of unwarranted doubt about what Bryant was doing when she lunged at the girl in pink in the clip. Was she maybe just throwing a punch, and the knife fell out of her back pocket after she was shot?

She sounds like a charmer!

Chauvin and Bryant: Never Let a Good Coincidence Go to Waste

With the Derek Chauvin trial concluded, the anti-cop Left needed a new cause célèbre. And they sure weren’t picky about who it would be.

Ma’Khia Bryant had a knife, and she was a fraction of a second from plunging it into an unnamed black woman dressed in a pink sweatsuit.

But she never got the chance, thanks to the efforts of a Columbus, Ohio, police officer named Nicholas Reardon. Reardon, responding to a 911 call in which it was reported that a young woman was assaulting others with a knife, drew his pistol and shot Ma’Khia Bryant before she could stab her intended victim. She died shortly thereafter as the neighborhood around the foster home where she lived began to boil at the scene, with profanity-laced epithets hurled at Reardon and other law enforcement officers as they attempted to save her life.

Sign at George Floyd Square gives list of special orders for white visitors

The square where George Floyd was murdered by ex-Minnesota cop Derek Chauvin now has a sign with special rules for white people.

The placard at the entrance of George Floyd Square in Minnesota calls it “a sacred space for community, public grief, and protest,” telling visitors to “honor the space as a place to connect and grieve as caring humans.”

But most of the instructions are listed under five orders “for white people in particular.”

Portland’s Black Leaders Ask Woke White Folk to Stop Ruining Things

Portland’s Black Leaders Ask Woke White Folk to Stop Ruining Things

Well, this is uncomfortable.

Portland, OR has been bearing the brunt of more “peaceful protests” than any other city since last summer. Leftist anarchy reigns there, and there is no end in sight.

It has been noted by many that a lot of the riot types in Portland are “down with the struggle” white people. That seems a little racist at first blush. Probably because seeing a bunch of white people speak and act for black people is.

Ma’Khia Bryant’s military vet neighbor says his security camera footage proves Columbus cop had no choice but to shoot her

Home security footage has captured a new angle of the shooting of Ma’khia Bryant as a neighbor said he believes more people could have been killed if the officer hadn’t shot the 16-year-old black girl dead in Columbus, Ohio.

The 26-second video gives a glimpse into the moments leading up to Tuesday’s fatal incident as a girl – later identified as Bryant – is seen walking down a driveway toward other people at the very same time that a police car pulls up outside the home.

Bryant then appears to suddenly charge at another person in the driveway. What happened next was seen on police body camera footage released Wednesday.

Racist Professor Demands a ‘Conviction of America’ After Chauvin Verdict

After a jury delivered three guilty verdicts for former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin for the second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter of George Floyd Tuesday afternoon, the race-obsessed Left isn’t satisfied.

Their goal is revolution and genocide. Nothing less.

Protests, vigil take place across Columbus for some reason after knife wielding assailant Ma’Khia Bryant attempted to stab a black girl and was lawfully shot by police officer

Protests, vigil take place across Columbus for some reason after knife wielding assailant Ma’Khia Bryant attempted to stab a black girl and was lawfully shot by police officer

They gathered in a circle Wednesday night, the crowd more than 200 strong, standing on the broken and weedy patch of parking lot pavement and chanting the 16-year-old girl’s name.

Say her name. Ma’Khia Bryant. Say her name.

Over and over again.

‘No opportunity’ to de-escalate: Use-of-force experts say Columbus officer obeyed training

An Ohio criminal-justice professor who studies the fatal use of force by law-enforcement officers didn’t hesitate to render an opinion after watching body-camera video of a Columbus police officer fatally shooting a 16-year-old girl Tuesday afternoon on the city’s Southeast Side.

“My first impression is that the officer was legally justified in using deadly force,” said Philip Stinson, a Bowling Green State University professor who has compiled nationwide statistics on fatal shootings that have led to criminal charges against officers.

Because facts don’t matter.

Bret Weinstein: Democrats are riding the BLM wave. But they don’t have the power to control it.

Bret Weinstein: Democrats are riding the BLM wave. But they don’t have the power to control it.

Writing about his native Portland in UnHerd this week, evolutionary biologist Bret Weinstein painted a bleak picture of the city. What was once a liberal paradise moulded in the image of 1990s Portlandia quickly descended into something much darker: a city overrun by Left-wing rioters appeased by a weak mayor, and a police force who look on and do nothing.

This crisis, according to Weinstein, is largely a result of the city’s mono-political climate in which one party, namely the Democrats, are allowed to operate unchecked. Yesterday, Bret joined Freddie Sayers for an UnHerd members event to discuss whether the events in Portland were a sign of things to come.

His answer was chilling…

After the Floyd verdict: the US is not a racist dystopia

George Floyd’s killing united America in outrage. But some want to use it to keep us permanently divided.

A jury has unanimously found police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. The verdict was delivered almost 11 months after a viral video showed Floyd gasping for breath under Chauvin’s knee, leading to widespread outrage in the US and across the world.

The Horror! Buff State investigating after instructor says she’s ‘sick’ of ‘Black Lives Matter’

SUNY Buffalo State College says it is looking into comments made by a part-time lecturer after a video clip surfaced online of the instructor saying she was “sick” of Black Lives Matter.

In a roughly 20-second video clip posted on Instagram, the instructor says, “This is me speaking honestly, and you guys have to respond honestly with what you think, with what you feel about this. So I am sick of (audio cuts out) about Black Lives Matter. Alright? I said it.”

Supreme Court Might Reverse Chauvin Convictions because of Maxine Waters

The convictions of Derek Chauvin might not mark the end of this racially divisive case. The US Supreme Court might ultimately decide whether to uphold the convictions.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) made a statement — while jurors in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin were not yet sequestered — which demanded street confrontations unless Chauvin were found guilty of murder. The trial judge correctly suggested that any conviction in the case might ultimately be thrown out on appeal, based on what Waters said. He condemned Waters’ remarks in the strongest terms, but he did not have the courage to grant a defense motion for a mistrial. Had he done so, that almost certainly would have led to riots — which would have been blamed on the judge, not on Rep. Waters. So he left it to the court of appeals, months in the future, to grant a new trial — which he should have granted.

Police minister calls for teacher to be sacked from primary school where students were ‘brainwashed’ into making Black Lives Matter posters saying ‘stop killer cops’ and ‘pigs out of the country’

A primary school teacher who instructed students to make anti-police posters in which officers were called ‘pigs’ should be sacked, NSW Police Minister David Elliott said.

Students in Years 5 and 6 at Lindfield Learning Village on Sydney’s north shore made placards with the words ‘stop killer cops’ and ‘pigs out of the country’, slogans which have featured in the Black Lives Matter movement in the US.

Others read: ‘white lives matter too much’ and ‘you can’t silence the speechLess’.

The Columbus Police Shooting Shows Why Family Assertions About ‘What Happened’ Are Completely Useless

Yesterday, a police officer in Columbus, OH shot and killed a teenage girl who was in the process of trying to stab (and possibly kill) another girl she was in a physical altercation with. Body-cam footage confirmed that account. Despite the reality shown on the video, there are still protests going on in the area for some reason.
