Toronto’s homeless shelters house almost triple the number of kids they before Trudeau

Toronto’s homeless shelters now house almost triple the number of kids they did eight years ago — with more than 1,400 in hotel rooms paid for by city hall

… As of September, nearly 1,500 kids were staying in the city’s shelter system, two thirds of whom were 10 or younger, as well as more than 1,400 children waiting for space in scattered hotel rooms paid for by city hall

… These “bridging hotel” rooms are different from hotels leased as temporary shelters during the pandemic, which are now considered part of the regular shelter system and offer more services like meals. The federal government also operates its own network of hotels specifically for refugees.

No, You’re Not Imagining a Migrant Crime Spree

Four years of open borders and sanctuary policies have brought criminal drug networks, human trafficking, and an epidemic of sexual assault.

The arrest of an illegal immigrant for the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley a few weeks before President Joe Biden’s 2024 State of the Union address ignited a political firestorm. “Laken’s death is the direct result of policies on the federal level and an unwillingness by this White House to secure the southern border,” Georgia’s Republican governor Brian Kemp charged, after reports emerged that the border patrol had grabbed Venezuelan Jose Ibarra back in 2022, but that he was quickly paroled and released into the United States. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, reacting to the controversy, warned of an illegal-alien crime wave; at the State of the Union itself, Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene interrupted Biden, calling out for the president to “say her name”—a reference to Riley. When Biden did mention her name, he acknowledged that she died at the hands of an illegal migrant; further controversy ensued when he later apologized for using the term “illegal,” and not the politically correct “undocumented.”

Many refugees seeking safety in Canada end up in shelters for months

Every year, refugees come to Canada fleeing war , violence and persecution. But their hopes for a smooth transition are often dashed as soon as their feet hit Canadian soil. Many find themselves sleeping on a mattress on the floor of a homeless shelter.

Khairiya Abdul-Mumin fled Ghana one year ago. She had no time to prepare or save money and arrived at YYC with $50 in her pocket and months of frigid winter weather ahead of her.

Canada must have a reputation as an easy mark. Why else would someone in Ghana choose to fly here as a “refugee”. Close the border.

‘I’m not sorry for what I do’: inside the people smuggling gangs in Calais

A Kurdish man allegedly behind deadly trips on the Channel. Known as ‘Red’, he boasts he can earn €50,000 a day

The Channel spits and swells beneath two dinghies that are slowly filling with icy black water, collapsing under the weight of 160 migrants who stampede towards the remaining upright corners of the vessels in ripped lifejackets and wearing makeshift arm-floats fashioned from plastic bottles.

By 7am, only an hour into two perilous boat crossings from northern France to the UK that took place last Saturday and which resulted in four fatalities, Hellen Getu, 27, was left gripping on to her older sister Hareg’s lifeless body to prevent it from being washed out to sea.

Non-Western Immigrants Commit One-Third of Rapes and Violent Crimes in Denmark

29.6% of the country’s violent crimes and 32.4% of rapes are committed by perpetrators from a non-Western background, despite only making up 10.6% of the population.

Non-Western immigrants and their descendants are vastly overrepresented in Danish crime statistics.

Citing numbers from the Ministry of Justice, Berlingske reports that non-Western immigrants, who make up 8.4% of the Danish population, commit 14% of the country’s crimes of aggravated violence and 24.3% of the rapes, judging by number of convicted.

Maybe even more concerning are the figures for second-generation non-Western immigrants. Making up a mere 2.2% of the population, this demographic is responsible for 15.6% of the violent crimes and 8.1% of the rapes.

Orbán: Everyone Will Come to the Same Conclusion on Migration

The European Union is in a much more difficult situation than it was thirteen years ago, when Hungary last held the rotating presidency of the European Council, conservative Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told a press conference in Strasbourg on Tuesday, October 8th, one day before he is due to present the programme of the current Hungarian presidency at the European Parliament’s plenary session.

While the EU had to contend with the aftermath of the financial crisis, the Arab Spring, and the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, it is now facing a migration crisis, a war in Europe, a severe conflict in the Middle East, hostilities in Africa, and all these conflicts are in danger of escalating.

Massive surge of illegal migrants, including suspected terrorists, crossing border from Canada to US

It’s well-known that millions of migrants have illegally entered the United States, crossing over the country’s southern border with Mexico. What isn’t as well-known is migrants are also crossing illegally into the US over its northern border with Canada.

And while it’s very much shy of the numbers coming in from the south, the number of migrants crossing from the north has increased 50-fold under the Biden-Harris administration, according to the US Border Patrol.

Transgender Syrian On US “No Fly” List Bitching About Being Denied Entry To Canada

A transgender Syrian refugee claims she has been stranded in a Turkish airport for seven months after a Canadian diplomat alleged that she underwent gender reassignment surgery in a bid to gain access to the country.

Arwa Almsrawi had initially been granted refugee status by Canada after the nation received a referral from the U.N. Refugee Agency.

But while on her journey to her new homeland, she got into trouble at Istanbul Airport, learning she was on the U.S’ ‘No Fly List’ and eventually had her refugee status revoked.

I’m surprised Trudeau hasn’t personally intervened.

The news of the rape and murder of 19-year-old Philippine on the outskirts of Paris, involving a Moroccan illegal immigrant who had already been convicted by the courts and was facing deportation, exacerbates the anger of French citizens who see the repeated and culpable failings of the justice system leading to bloody, yet avoidable, tragedies.
