LILLEY: Terror supporters show their true colours in Toronto

As most Canadians went quietly about their Saturday afternoon, thousands of their fellow citizens took over the streets of Toronto in support of terrorists. The chants, the flags, the signs were all to mark the start of several days of commemoration of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks one year ago.

Thousands of the usual suspects march in pro-Palestinian protest to mark a year of war in the Middle East

A sea of red, black, white and green filled Yonge-Dundas Square on Saturday, as thousands of people wearing keffiyehs and waving Palestinian and Lebanese flags gathered to mark one year since the Oct 7. attacks that sparked the biggest war in the Middle East in a generation.

“We will not be pushed aside. We stand with Gaza side by side,” they chanted in Toronto as marches took place across Canada and around the world in Paris, Manila, Cape Town and other major cities amid reports of new Israeli airstrikes in Beirut, which have killed 1,400 people in less than two weeks.

Why aren’t the criminals who invited a death cult to settle here in shackles?

Bullshit crowd estimate.

Oh cripes.

Former editor testifies Chinese media in Canada ‘controlled by Communist Party’

A retired editor from one of Canada’s leading Chinese-language newspapers has raised alarms about the dominance of Chinese Communist Party influence over local ethnic media.

Blacklock’s Reporter says Victor Ho, who served as the Vancouver editor of Sing Tao Daily for 13 years, testified before the Commission on Foreign Interference, warning that Chinese media in Canada, especially those targeting recent immigrants, have long been under the sway of Beijing’s agenda.

Amy Hamm: I’ll take political apathy over shilling for terrorism, thanks

The most civic engagement I have witnessed in Canada has been over the last year. Sounds lovely, right? It sounds suggestive of a much-needed renaissance within Canadian civil society. But alas, it was not.

Sadly, the civic engagement I have witnessed in Canada over the past year has been enacted by shills for terrorist organizations, organized street mobs braying for genocide, while falsely accusing Israel of the same, and by Canadians celebrating October 7 and (we can only assume) the killing, raping, or burning of victims — some babies — and the kidnapping of hostages that occurred on that terrible day one year ago. In our capital, Canadians shouted “Long live October 7!” Useful idiots.

Survey finds Canadians resigned to foreign money influencing federal elections

A majority of Canadians believe illegal foreign money is influencing federal elections, according to in-house research by Elections Canada.

Blacklock’s Reporter says the agency’s study found that more than two-thirds of voters suspect such interference is commonplace, with concerns particularly high among immigrants and British Columbians.

Federal government plans to warn foreign ambassadors not to interfere in next election

The federal government plans to convene a meeting of foreign ambassadors next month to warn them not to interfere in the next election.

Testifying before the inquiry into foreign interference in Canada, David Morrison, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, said his department is preparing for the next federal election and wants to make sure that diplomats from other countries know where Canada draws the line between attempts to influence and attempts to interfere.

Most Canadians say citizens who stay in high-risk conflict zones don’t deserve government protection: poll

As Ottawa continues to airlift hundreds of Canadians out of Lebanon this weekend, a new Leger survey shows slightly more than half of Canadians (52 per cent) think Canada does not owe protection to citizens who decide to stay in conflict zones despite warnings to leave.

According to the survey, only a third (34 per cent) think the federal government has a responsibility to protect and evacuate its citizens.

There are Canadians and then there are Canadians of convenience – foreigners who have obtained citizenship as insurance.

This farce is becoming generational. How many times do we have to evacuate the same “Canadians” from Lebanon or their “Canadian” offspring?

Canada’s International Student Boom Was A Deliberately Plotted $148M Liberal Government Scam

Foreign student scam

Canada’s international student boom went from success to liability over just a few years. Policymakers that promoted the growth are now suddenly passing blame, presenting it as an overwhelming surprise. It turns out the growth was the intended outcome of a $148 million plan, including a new brand jointly owned and operated by the Federal, Provincial, and Territorial Governments. Policymakers are now presenting new limits as a response to public outcry, coincidentally in the same year the strategy ended. What timing!

Massive surge of illegal migrants, including suspected terrorists, crossing border from Canada to US

It’s well-known that millions of migrants have illegally entered the United States, crossing over the country’s southern border with Mexico. What isn’t as well-known is migrants are also crossing illegally into the US over its northern border with Canada.

And while it’s very much shy of the numbers coming in from the south, the number of migrants crossing from the north has increased 50-fold under the Biden-Harris administration, according to the US Border Patrol.

Nice little news network you got there. Pity if anything should happen to it …

So apparently the boycott is off: Pierre Poilievre has announced he has lifted last week’s fatwa on Conservative MPs speaking to CTV News.

Lest you think this is owing to any sudden outburst of magnanimity on the Conservative leader’s part, it is not: CTV had earlier announced that two employees responsible for a misleadingly edited clip of Mr. Poilievre speaking are “no longer members of the CTV News team.” The sacrifice appears to have placated him, for now.

As I understand it Coyne is upset that the Conservatives did not welcome being misrepresented in the CTV report.
