U.S. links Toronto consulate shooting to alleged Iranian-backed commander

An Iraqi national charged in the United States with terrorism offences has been linked by prosecutors to the March shooting outside the U.S. consulate in downtown Toronto back in March.

U.S. prosecutors allege Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi and others were behind the Toronto attack, as well as a second attack targeting a synagogue in Canada, while also coordinating nearly 20 attacks across Europe tied to an Iranian-backed militant network.

Another instance of the US informing Canadians of Muslim terror activity in our country.

Marty York: Canadian Jews are fleeing antisemitism at record rates — and the numbers prove it

A former colleague of mine recently sold his home in Montreal and made “aliyah” by moving to Israel with his wife. Aliyah, a Hebrew word, literally means “rise” or “ascent,” but Jewish people define it as immigrating to Israel.

My former colleague isn’t alone. More and more Jews are leaving Canada for Israel. According to the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, Canadian aliyah rose a record 51 per cent in 2025 from 2023. They are leaving this country at record rates and many are relocating to the United States, as well.

US Secretary of State Official Weighs In on stupid woke Canadian University DEI Complaint ruling

U.S. Under Secretary of State Sarah Rogers has again spoken out on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies in Canada, this time commenting on a tribunal ruling that found views opposing “systemic racism” theories are not grounded in political or legal principles.

The decision involves a Simon Fraser University political science professor who was denied a job because he did not support DEI.

The B.C. human rights tribunal decided against holding a hearing on the issue last month. Adjudicator Devyn Cousineau said in her April 15 ruling that the educator had no reasonable likelihood of proving that he was denied the position because of his political views, because opposition to DEI did not constitute a political stance under the law.

Conrad Black: How to give new purpose to Canada and Britain

Conrad Black: How to give new purpose to Canada and Britain

The world is nostalgic for a respected Britain, is waiting for a mature Canada, and India is surging. Instead of Britain standing outside the door of Europe and Canada and India shivering in the shadow of America or China, and the Anzacs alone at the end of the earth, we should collaborate, for our collective good and for the stability in the world. The United Kingdom is floundering through its seventh consecutive failed government and is attempting to redefine its secession from the European Union by creeping backwards toward it, having almost severed its alliance with the United States by equivocating between that country and Iran, the world‘s greatest state sponsor of terrorism in the current conflict. At the same time, Prime Minister Mark Carney has assigned Canada and himself the role of rounding up disgruntled, so-called middle powers that harbour grievances against the United States, in particular, and getting them all to stand upon each other’s shoulders so that they will be taken more seriously in the chancelleries of the world. Both the U.K. and Canada have been thrust into these improbable vocations by prolonged mismanagement of their own foreign relations and national interests.

Present tense: Many Canadian Jews have lost their sense of belonging in a country they no longer recognize

Talia Klein Leighton compares being a Canadian Jew since October 7 to a frog in a pot of boiling water.

“Every time I wake up and I realize that the water’s getting hotter, somebody greases the bowl,” Leighton, president of Canadian Women Against Antisemitism, told National Post. “The level of tolerance that this country seems to have adopted in terms of antisemitism is breathtaking.”

Not to minimize your concerns but welcome to my world.

And now a word from the Laurentian elite

And now a word from the Laurentian elite

Canada is one of history’s most successful countries. Here’s a look at who’s trying to destroy it, and how

The recorded history of Canada stretches back more than 500 years; the unrecorded history, many thousands.

It is one of the world’s oldest continuously existing democracies, with a Constitution whose principal features – monarchical, federal, parliamentary, with an independent judiciary and (ahem) an unelected Senate – have remained unchanged since 1867.

Your kids can’t get a decent job or afford a home.

You can’t find a doctor and the waiting list seems longer every day.

Taxes are through the roof yet our so called government dumps truckloads of tax payer dollars into sinkholes foreign and domestic while you worry about whether to eat or heat.

And your hometown is overrun by migrants who hate you and the Canada you helped build.

Who couldn’t want more of that Mr. Coyne?

Canadian doctor suggested disabled babies could be EUTHANIZED under country’s controversial assisted suicide laws

A Canadian doctor has suggested that babies with severe deformities could be euthanized under the country’s controversial assisted suicide laws.

Quebec College of Physicians member Louis Roy has been condemned by a lobbying group after a comment he made during a 2022 parliamentary committee resurfaced.

Roy previously said that under current Canadian law, assisted suicide could be considered for infants up to one year old with severe ailments.

America’s role as Canada’s culture-shaper is coming to an end

America’s role as Canada’s culture-shaper is coming to an end

In the United States, the life expectancy is 78.4 years. In Canada, it’s 82.2.

That would be a good statistic to insert into a response to America’s Canada-trashers, like Ambassador Pete Hoekstra or Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. A line like: “Dear Americans, if you want to live several years longer, move to Canada.”

It’s a telling statistic. In the debate in Carneyland over the need to turn away from the United States and broaden relations with Europe and elsewhere, the focus has been on the imperative of lessening reliance on American trade and defence.

Hollywood’s clout is in well noted decline primarily because it has become un-American.

TDS bash all you want but Trump is making America far more free and far better off economically than Canada.

All 11 teachers accused of creating toxic climate at Montreal school have their licences revoked

All 11 teachers accused of creating toxic climate at Montreal school have their licences revoked

All 11 teachers who were suspended in 2024 after being accused of fostering a toxic climate at a Montreal elementary school have had their licences revoked, according to the office of Quebec’s education minister.

Confirmation of the 11 licences being revoked came on the same day the Education Ministry made public a final report into the situation at Bedford elementary school.

The revocation of the licences is the latest development in a saga that reignited the debate around secularism in the province and raised concerns about religious indoctrination in Quebec schools.

Nowhere in the Gaslighting CBC article is it noted that the 11 suspended teachers were Muslims.

OTTAWA — Parti Québécois Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon said he believes there is “religious infiltration” and “Islamist infiltration” in Quebec schools in the wake of a sprawling controversy about a Montreal school where teachers were accused of creating a climate of terror.

Canada aims to double electricity grid capacity by 2050 as demand soars

Canada aims to double electricity grid capacity by 2050 as demand soars

Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday unveiled Canada’s new clean electricity strategy as electricity demand in Canada grows.

The plan aims to double the capacity of Canada’s grid by 2050, Carney said, adding that the federal government is launching consultations with provinces, territories, Indigenous groups, utility companies and unions.

“Over the coming decades, Canadians will use more electricity because many of the things we use every day, the cars we drive, the heaters in our home, the machines in our factories are switching to electric power. Doubling our grid to meet that demand won’t be easy,” Carney said.

Lots of pie in the sky.

In February, President Trump joked at a closed-door Alfalfa Club dinner, “We’re not going to invade Greenland. We’re going to buy it.”

Alas there is no Buckwheat Club or even a Spanky Club.

He explained, “It’s never been my intention to make Greenland the 51st state. I want to make Canada the 51st state. Greenland will be the 52nd state. Venezuela can be 53rd.”

Canada is fast-tracking citizenship certificates for trans Americans

Trans Americans with Canadian ancestry have been receiving expedited processing of their applications for Canadian citizenship certificates.

Proof of Canadian citizenship certificates, which are provided to individuals who qualify as Canadian citizens on the basis of their ancestry, have become a hot commodity this year in the United States, following changes to Canada’s Citizenship Act last December that removed the generational limit on inheritance.
