2 Windsor Police Officers Who Allegedly Donated to Freedom Convoy Face Misconduct Charges

Two officers with the Windsor Police Service (WPS) are facing misconduct charges for allegedly donating money to the Freedom Convoy, a large-scale protest against federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates in Ottawa earlier this year.

The charges against constables Jason Michael Brisco and Brooke Fazekas fall under the Ontario Police Services Act, the WPS said on Sept. 20. A third civilian employee has been suspended without pay for a day, also over allegations of donating to the convoy.

Alberta’s minister of labour and immigration thanks ‘freedom convoys’ for mobilizing against Ottawa’s ‘tyrannical’ pandemic policies

Alberta’s minister of labour and immigration has taken to social media to criticize Ottawa’s “tyrannical” pandemic travel restrictions and thank “freedom convoys” for their efforts against them.

In a tweet responding to news about the federal government potentially ending COVID-19 border requirements, Kaycee Madu said the measure was “never was about science but about political control and power.”

“Thanks to all those citizens, freedom convoys, who had the courage to mobilize against these tyrannical policies,” read the remark on Madu’s Twitter account on Tuesday.

Duhaime & Poilievre: Quebec’s new conservative dynamic duo

What do Montreal’s Anglophones have in common with Quebec City’s Francophones? More than you might think. Anglo Quebecers are hybrids. Their attitudes are often closer to those of Francophone Quebeckers than those of Anglophones in the ROC. This can also hold true of their political persuasion.

There are growing signs many will vote for the fledgling Conservative Party of Québec. Pollsters predict Quebecers will elect a CAQ majority government on Oct. 3. However, how both groups vote could reverberate until the next federal election.

Nova Scotia shooting: Families say inquiry raises more questions

Families of the victims in Canada’s deadliest mass shooting say an inquiry into what happened has left them with “more questions than answers”.

The joint provincial and federal inquiry is hearing from family members and their representatives as it wraps up months of public hearings this week.

Twenty-two people died in the April 2020 attack in Nova Scotia.

The inquiry was launched following fierce criticism of the police response to the mass shooting.

Brian Lee Crowley: Canada has devolved into a childish country incapable of solving big problems

… One of the defining features of the postwar period was its almost unprecedented order and stability. That, in turn, created the comforting but childish illusion that the world was simply made this way, that we could insouciantly nibble away at the institutions and behaviours that underpinned this order and suffer no consequences other than to liberate ourselves from irksome constraints.

Canadian teacher laughably claims basic math equations are a form of ‘white supremacy’

A Canadian teacher from Ontario made the bizarre claim that basic mathematical equations such as 2+2=4 is somehow a form of “white supremacy.”

Heather Theijsmeijer, who serves as a math coordinator in Ontario, recently posted on Twitter, “There are many math education practices that we (white folk) don’t see as racist or supremacist.”

“Because they are so ingrained in our background and experiences (and we have been the ones to benefit from them.)”

Economist who predicted housing bubble expects ‘long, ugly’ recession that will wipe out ‘zombie’ institutions

… Roubini whose prescience on the housing-bubble crash of 2007 to 2008 earned him the nickname Dr. Doom, said that those expecting a shallow U.S. recession should be looking at the large debt ratios of corporations and governments. As rates rise and debt-servicing costs increase, “many zombie institutions, zombie households, corporates, banks, shadow banks and zombie countries are going to die,” he said. “So we’ll see who’s swimming naked.”

I find it a little odd that the Star published this given Trudeau has turned Canada into a Zombie country.

Losers propping up Junior launch anti-Poilievre attack ad

‘Who is the real Pierre Poilievre?’ NDP launch attack ad against new Conservative leader

OTTAWA — The NDP is the first party out of the gate with an attack ad against Pierre Poilievre, launching the attempt to frame the new Conservative leader as “not in it for you” just as the fall sitting of Parliament gets underway.

The ad, sent Tuesday to party donors and set to roll out on social media on Tuesday, asks: “Who is the real Pierre Poilievre?” while showing the Conservative leader in his now trademark pensive pose made famous in his own ads for the Conservative leadership.

MEGHAN MCCAIN: Trudeau offends millions belting out a Queen karaoke hit as the world quietly mourned her death – and blows apart the insufferable moral superiority of the Left

‘I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango!’ — Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

O Canada, you must be so proud.

As we’ve all seen by now, pretty-boy Prime Minister Trudeau was caught on camera (possibly drunkenly) singing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody (and poorly at that) in a hotel bar on Saturday night before the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II in London on Monday.

Justin Trudeau slightly favoured over Pierre Poilievre for prime minister … says online survey

OTTAWA – A new poll suggests a plurality of Canadians still believe Justin Trudeau is still the best man for the job of prime minister, but he has only a slight lead over new Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre.

Leger has released the findings of an online survey conducted over the weekend with around 1,500 respondents.

The results suggest the Liberals’ popularity has declined since one year ago, when Trudeau was re-elected for a second time to form a minority government.

Cory Morgan: Witch Hunt Against Cop Who Donated to Freedom Convoy Motivated by Vengeance

If politicians and police forces don’t want to see a repeat of this winter’s protest in Ottawa, they would be well-served to take a step back and try to understand why the protests happened rather than obsessively trying to chase down and punish citizens who were found to be supportive of them.

The witch hunt being carried out against Const. Kristina Neilson of the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) who allegedly donated to the Freedom Convoy is only entrenching division and mistrust among Canadians.

Canada to have 50 million people, half of them immigrant families, by 2041

Canadian immigration levels are currently at their highest since the era just before the First World War, when mass immigration was used to homestead the prairies. Just last year, Canada brought in 401,000 new permanent residents.

One result of this influx, according to new projections from Statistics Canada, is that Canada will be home to as many as 50 million people by 2041. It’s twice as high as the Canadian population as recently as 1980. It also means that over the next 19 years, we’ll be adding enough new Canadians to equal the present-day equivalent of all of Western Canada (the combined population of Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba was 11 million in the last census).

Canada – A Great Big Leicester.
