Canadians are delusional captives to a broken health care system. We cling to the status quo with grim complacency, comforting ourselves with the notion that it could be worse. We could wait 18 hours in a hospital emergency room and then be charged for seeing the on-call resident. We could wait nine months to see a specialist and then have to fork over a substantial co-pay. We could languish in a hospital hallway for days, waiting for a room to become available, and then have to fight with insurance for coverage for an out-of-network hospital visit.

Behind the story of emergency room closures across the country are the workers impacted, like “Sue,” a 25-year veteran nurse in Ontario who openly weeps about her decision to leave front-line medical care.

The 52-year-old, who has been independently verified to have been a nurse by CTVNews.ca but asked to protect her identity, said she loved her job caring for patients, having worked as an operating room nurse, in surgical care wards, and in rehab and palliative care.

But since February, she has been off work on stress leave and is seeing a psychologist after suffering burnout.

Majority say Canadian airport delays ‘a national embarrassment,’ avoiding travel: poll

Seventy per cent of Canadians agree the widespread delays at airports across the country are a “national embarrassment,” a new poll suggests, with nearly 60 per cent of people saying they are avoiding travel until the situation improves.

But the Ipsos poll, conducted exclusively for Global News and released Friday, found Canadians believe there’s plenty of blame to go around for the delays between airports, airlines, the federal government and even travellers themselves.

The Trudeau government wants you to become used to travel restrictions. It’s all part of the green-scam.

In 2019, Justin Trudeau increased Canada’s budget for international assistance to $6.2 billion dollars. In 2020, the Liberals increased foreign aid assistance by 7.7 percent over the previous year.

The 2021 federal budget added an additional $1.4 billion for international assistance over a five-year period. Most foreign aid donations involve transferring funds to the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and African Development Bank.

Let us understand this in basic terms. Each year, our ruling government extracts approximately $7 billion dollars from Canadian taxpayers, and ships the funds to the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and the African Development Bank.

An article published in the peer-reviewed periodical of the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) states that healthcare workers were among the “most likely” to express vaccine hesitancy at the beginning of the pandemic.

Russian cyber threat worse than previously reported: CSE

Russia’s cyber operations following its invasion of Ukraine have “almost certainly” been more extensive than what has been publicly reported, and Canada is among the targets, the Communications Security Establishment said.

The CSE’s Canadian Centre for Cybersecurity said in a threat bulletin issued Thursday “the scope and severity of cyber operations related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine has almost certainly been more sophisticated and widespread than has been reported in open sources.”
