Russian airline violates Canadian airspace

One of the bolder economic moves against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine was taken by the European Union and Canada when they banned all Russian aircraft from landing in their countries or even flying through their airspace. That decision was put to the test yesterday when an Aeroflot commercial jet flew through Canadian airspace on the way from Miami to Moscow. It was a brief incursion, but it still violated the new rules. Transport Canada and the Nav Canada air traffic control service are currently “reviewing” the incident, but it’s unclear what can be done about it or what will happen if they do it again today.

Trudeau’s international reputation will never be the same

A major part of Justin Trudeau’s appeal to progressive voters in Canada is his international reputation as a liberal golden boy.

But Trudeau’s use of war-time measures to crack down a peaceful working class protest has shattered that image. It made him look weak, hypocritical, petty and mean.

How Canada became America’s new culture war

Canada never realized its trucker protests would catalyze the way they did — into rocket fuel for MAGA warriors in America’s cultural fight.

The diesel fumes, horn blasts and bouncy castles may have disappeared from downtown Ottawa, but Canadians are only beginning to come to terms with the lingering effect of the “Freedom Convoy.”

Lauren Boebert: Canada ‘also’ needs to be ‘liberated’ along with Ukraine

“I pray for Ukraine and I wish them the best,” she explained. “They have a great president right now, who really said clearly, live free or die. He said, ‘I don’t need a ride, give me ammunition. The fight is right here.'”

“But we also have neighbors to the north who need freedom and who need to be liberated and we need that right here at home,” she added.

Features Of Fascism Permeate Trudeau’s Transformation of Canada

“Fascism is characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, bigotry against a demonized ‘other,’ and strong regimentation of society.”

 — Trudeau government suppress opposition by demonizing Canadians as racists and bigots. Government and media create community of “others” among anti-Vaxxers. Society  regimented like never before via Covid pandemic edicts.

“Fascism is hostile to classical liberalism and its individual freedoms of expression, conscience, association and peaceful assembly. Fascism creates a divide between ‘us and them,’ to deny equality to members of the bad minority.”

 — Trudeau government utilize Covid to suppress individual freedoms. Government and media establish “us and them” society through Vaxxer versus anti-Vaxxer communities. Denial of equality established through Emergencies Act and its “frozen bank account” measures.

Emergency Powers Just Swell For Undermining Lawful Democratic Protest Says Lucki of the RCMP

Mounties used emergency powers as a ‘big deterrent,’ says head of RCMP

“We don’t have anything in laws that prevent people from coming to protests and we can’t turn them away. So for us, operationally, it was all about reducing that footprint in Ottawa and the only way to do that was to stop people from coming in or incentivizing them to leave,” Lucki told MPs on the public safety and national security committee looking into the federal government’s response to the protests.

“We used it as a big deterrent for people to come into the area. So, yes, in fact, we did use the measures that were put in the Emergencies Act, along with other authorities that we had.”
