Burger King wants a manager for $48K. Experts say foreign workers aren’t the answer

A job listing at a Toronto-area Burger King has prompted observers and experts to wonder whether the temporary foreign workers program is being used to avoid paying higher salaries to Canadians.

On Sept. 25, a Burger King in Mississauga, Ont., posted an opening for a restaurant manager position on the federal government’s online job bank.

The post drew criticism from some social media users, who noted that underneath the posting, a banner reads, “This employer has applied for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill labour or skills shortages on a temporary basis.”

There’s no wonder at all.

Business and the Liberal Government conspired to harm Canadians by importing masses of cheap foreign labour.

Business profits from depressed wages and from the shortages created by the extreme population spike.

The Liberal party is looking to harvest votes defending the culturally incompatible masses they brought in against the objections of “racist” Canadians standing up for their rights.

Neither Business nor the Liberal party has your best interests at heart their goal is to create a compliant impoverished society.

Canada’s Corporate Welfare Class ‘addicted’ to depressed wages migrant workers enable

Immigration minister says Canada ‘addicted’ to migrant workers

Canadian businesses have become “addicted” to temporary foreign workers, Immigration Minister Marc Miller told the Senate, acknowledging concerns over the country’s growing reliance on migrant labour.

Blacklock’s Reporter says in response, Miller is preparing to introduce a new Immigration Levels Plan in November, which is expected to significantly reduce the number of temporary workers entering Canada.

The Liberals would know they’re the ones that loosened the rules.

Canada Needs To Prepare For Bank Runs & Collapses, Warns Former Regulator

Canadian banks have been considered mostly risk-free for a long time, but every streak ends. A former Canadian banking regulator urges the country’s policymakers to prepare for that day while it still can. In a new report from CD Howe, a former OSFI manager urges the country to modernize its banking crisis response and adopt more prudent measures. Failing to do so can result in a major hit to the country’s financial stability, resulting in a wide range of issues from bank runs to an outright collapse of financial institutions. As unlikely as this sounds, it comes after the recent wave of global financial institutions that were believed to be invincible, collapsed over a few months. Policymakers were left claiming no one saw it coming, but were they even looking?

Wanna bet they seize your savings to prop up the banks?

Vivian Bercovici: On Oct. 7, terrorists invaded Israel — and their sympathizers took over Canadian streets

Every time I drive on Road 232, a main artery through southern Israel, I see phantoms.

Since moving to a kibbutz in southern Israel in July, Road 232 has become my lifeline, as it is for all residents of a region that is dotted with small towns and villages. This beautiful, pastoral area is where much of Israel’s fresh produce is grown.

And who are the guilty parties.

Canada’s decline is due to the machinations of a corrupt elite.

They are the people who encouraged mass Islamist immigration and surrendered our institutions to the radical liberal-left.

They called us racists and Islamophobes while flooding the nation with incompatible cultures which they in turn championed as equal or  better to our own.

The made us poor by depressing wages and profiting from the shortages created by their mass immigration scheme.

They made laws to silence dissent and co-opted the news media to further their agenda.

They hate us. Once you accept that it all makes sense.

Trudeau’s 3rd World Economy: Canadian Tire store in Toronto accused of exploiting temporary foreign workers

Trudeau’s Legacy: Indentured servitude and depressed wages for all.

The owner of a Canadian Tire store in Toronto is being investigated by the provincial and federal governments for allegedly mistreating and financially exploiting employees hired through Ottawa’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

At least 13 of those employees resigned or were fired by the store late last year, according to documents reviewed by The Globe and Mail and conversations with several of the workers.

… A spokesperson with Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Training, Immigration and Skills Development confirmed to The Globe that the province is investigating Ezhil Natarajan, who owns and operates a Canadian Tire store in Etobicoke, which comprises Toronto’s west end.

Is it right for white people to condemn the dealer for simply living his culture?

SHORTAGE OF SHITTY SERVICE EXPECTED! … Restaurants Canada predicting severe consequences if unable to import cheap foreign labour

I’ll be fine with a few less Tim Horton’s blighting the land.

The federal government’s latest changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Program take effect on Thursday.

While the government insists the alterations are designed to reduce Canadian employers’ reliance on the program to fill vacancies, Restaurants Canada is predicting severe consequences.

The agency says there are currently 73,000 openings in the industry, with positions in rural, remote, and tourist regions the hardest to fill.

If restaurants suffer from such razor thin margins why do people keep opening them?

And why should we diminish everyone’s quality of life by importing hordes of cheap labour to support what is obviously a crappy business model.

I have had need to contract a service recently & the sales rep plugged me into a “trusted” providers system.

Having to contact them myself as time was short a heavily accented script reader tried to sell me a service I did not need and this was after lying about having left a message for me.

If your call centre is located in 3rdWorldIstan I hang up.

I found a local provider who actually speaks English.

‘Alarming trend’ of more international students claiming asylum says supremely useless Trudeau minister

‘Alarming trend’ of more international students claiming asylum: minister

A “growing number” of international students are claiming asylum in order to stay in Canada after being allowed in on student visas, Immigration Minister Marc Miller says, calling it an “alarming trend.”

Speaking to Mercedes Stephenson in an interview that aired Sunday on The West Block, Miller said those claimants are using the international student program as a “backdoor entry into Canada,” often to lower their tuition fees, and that universities and colleges must improve their screening and monitoring practices to weed out bad actors.

He said his department is studying the issue and suggested further reforms to the program were being explored.

They want a new Canada, one that doesn’t include Canadians. Someone has to vote for them after all.

Joel Kotkin: The Liberals’ open immigration policy has failed

For decades, Canada won a deserved reputation as a country with a sensible immigration policy that brought in large numbers of workers, entrepreneurs and innovators. Yet Canada’s current immigration policies do not align with the country’s economic reality or popular opinion.

It fits the Trudeau agenda.

The LPC seek to remake Canada into a balkanized 3rd world shithole they and their crony capitalist welfare cases can exploit at will.

Canada’s Low-Wage Immigration Problem

The Temporary Foreign Worker Program has undercut the nation’s domestic workforce.

Mass immigration has caused a backlash nearly everywhere in the West, erupting in the mid-2010s with Brexit, Donald Trump, and the rise of right-wing parties in Europe. Canada, however, had been an exception.

Immigration to Canada has always been high by the standards of developed countries. There was a national consensus in favor of it until recently. Before the Liberals were elected in 2015, about 250,000 new Canadians were granted permanent residency every year, and about 67 percent of them were high-skilled economic immigrants. Those immigrants were qualified to work and spoke at least English or French competently. But under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the overall number now approaches 450,000 a year, and the proportion of those who are high-skilled has fallen to about 50 percent. Refugees, family-reunification, and other so-called humanitarian forms of immigration have ballooned. And so has the most controversial immigration stream of all: the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

Trudeau acting on behalf of his Corporate bloodsucker friends and to serve his own agenda flooded Canada with unneeded immigrants from incompatible cultures to depress wages, profit from the ensuing shortages and harvest future ethnic vote blocs.

The cruel greed of this evil policy has robbed us of our birthright and destroyed our economic and social well being.

Jamie Sarkonak: Don’t burden the rest of Canada with asylum seekers. Change the rules

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asked for an asylum-seeker surge in 2017, and boy did he get it. Well, Ontario and Quebec got most of it. And now, as those provinces struggle to support the weight, the federal government has floated a new solution: just spread it around.

A federal plan under consideration would send about 28,000 asylum seekers to Alberta, 32,500 to British Columbia, 5,000 to Nova Scotia and 4,600 to New Brunswick. The idea is to distribute the burden across the country in proportion to provincial populations. Only, we don’t have any room.

Colby Cosh: Lululemon’s sweetheart deal for temporary foreign workers

Monday’s most interesting non-Post news item came to us from the Investigative Journalism Foundation’s Zak Vescera, who published details of a sweetheart deal that the garment maker Lululemon Athletica squeezed out of the federal government last year. Lululemon is building a new global headquarters in Vancouver, where it originated, and by strategic bullying it got the feds to allow it to bring in 116 high-wage temporary foreign workers (TFWs) without the usual mandatory efforts to hire local Canadians first.

Temporary foreign workers’ class-action suit over Canada’s closed work permits clears hurdle

Migrant workers are one step closer to getting their day in court to challenge part of Canada’s temporary foreign worker program as unconstitutional for restricting them to working only for their sponsoring employers.

On Friday, a Quebec court gave the green light to a class-action lawsuit initiated by a Guatemalan worker, who alleges that the closed work permit system, in place since 1966, was rooted in direct discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin and colour, violating the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It makes you wonder if Justin or his backers are coaching this behind the scenes.

Little-known program dominates Canada’s massive guest-worker scheme

Douglas Todd: A labour leader is frustrated Canadians know almost nothing about the vast International Mobility Program (IMP). He’s afraid bosses want it that way.

Union leader Mark Olsen is frustrated Canadians know almost nothing about Ottawa’s international mobility program. And he’s afraid company bosses want it that way.

The program is the vast federal guest worker program that now brings by far the most newcomers into Canada — with more than one million in the country now.

It’s also the program that Olsen believes makes it most easy for employers to exploit guest workers, which in turn harms Canadian workers.

U.S. border patrol reports record number of encounters with illegal alien invaders from Canada

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says it recorded a record-high number of encounters with migrants between border posts on the Canada-U.S. border between October 2023 and July of this year.

It’s a pattern experts say could be a problem for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government as the question of illegal immigration heats up in a close-fought U.S. election.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) records an “encounter” in its database when it comes across someone who is inadmissable to the U.S., or when border patrol officers find someone who has illegally crossed the border into the U.S. between border posts.

Canadians Support Reduced Temporary Foreign Worker Program: Poll

Canadians support a scale-back of Ottawa’s temporary foreign worker program as concerns about housing and employment opportunities continue to grow, new polling data indicates.

Forty-three percent of Canadians said they support the federal government’s move to reduce the number of temporary foreign workers in the country, a survey from Angus Reid found. While 14 percent of those polled said they were happy with the program as-is, 22 percent said the program should be discontinued in its entirety.
