China’s Many Spies in Canada

For China watchers, the arrest of a retired RCMP officer for allegedly helping China with its interference efforts in Canada is not surprising, given Beijing’s extensive network of spies and agents in Canada and its ambitions for global domination.

Scott McGregor, a former Canadian Armed Forces intelligence operator and intelligence adviser to the RCMP, says Canada is particularly infested with a proportionally higher number of CCP agents compared to other countries.

TD report predicts increased economic hardship due to Trudeau government’s mass immigration scam

If Canada’s population boom continues at its current frantic pace, interest rates will face upward pressure and the massive influx of people will significantly worsen affordability for homebuyers and renters, a new report from TD Bank warns.

And the bank’s economists are calling on the federal government to restore “balance” to its immigration policies.

That rapid growth has helped employers fill job openings and propelled Canada to become the fastest growing economy in the G7, but it is also causing “dislocations in other segments of the economy,” including the housing market, health care, social services and infrastructure, that threaten to undo the benefits, the report’s authors warn.

It’s pretty bad when even the porkers of Canada’s corporate class are saying STOP.

People can’t afford rent never mind even dream of owning a home but Trudeau always has money for Corpoarate welfare cases if it “advances” his green-scam.

Ottawa rewards failure with taxpayer-funded bonuses

Bonuses are for people who excel at their job, not for people who fail at their job. Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, who is ultimately the federal government’s paymaster, needs to be reminded of that.

The Bank of Canada handed out $20 million in bonuses in 2022 even as it hiked interest rates seven times and inflation reached a 40-year high. The central bank’s overarching objective is to keep inflation around “two per cent inside a control range of one to three per cent.” But though inflation climbed fully 4.8 percentage points above its target, the Bank of Canada gave 80 per cent of its workforce a bonus of $11,200 per person on average.

‘Very concerning’: Canada’s standard of living is lagging behind its peers, report finds. What can be done?

… Hejazi, who recently wrote a book about Canada’s slouching prosperity, agreed and added that government protectionism of the country’s biggest industries is another leading factor: “Companies are only as productive as they need to be,” he said — by shutting down competition, Canada is “killing innovation” as companies grow complacent.

“If you look at the three major industries in Canada: Telecom, air transportation and finance — I can go further and say dairy and even grocery — all of these industries are extensively protected from competition,” Hejazi said. As a result, these companies “don’t need to move the needle” in order to pull in profits.

AND THEY’RE OFF! Bennet, Jaczek, Alghabra & Murray first rats out

Federal ministers Jaczek, Alghabra not running in next election, opening up spots in cabinet

About a half-dozen ministers will no longer sit at the cabinet table after Wednesday, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to announce a substantial shakeup of his front bench, sources tell CBC News.

Senior government sources say a cohort of rookies will be sworn in as new cabinet ministers during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.

Three Toronto-area Liberal ministers have already either announced, or are expected to announce, that they are not running in the next federal election, opening up spots at the table.

Is their departure a sign of guilt for the damage they’ve done to ordinary Canadians?

Doubtful. They’ve clocked enough time to cash out with Golden Parachutes we poor schmucks can only dream of.

It’s a situation made worse knowing that our money will feed and house them in a style an increasing number of Canadians will never know thanks to the ruinous policies they supported.

Canada’s standard of living falling behind other advanced economies: TD

A new economic report from TD says Canada is falling behind the standard-of-living curve compared to its peers.

According to the report published last week, Canada has been lagging behind the U.S. and other advanced economies in terms of standard of living performance (or real GDP per capita), despite recent years of “headline growth.”

“Economic growth does not necessarily equate to economic prosperity,” TD economist Marc Ercolao wrote

I don’t understand how anyone could have misinterpreted  Justin’s Trudeau’s  cornerstone policy of “Mass Immigration Good”.  It’s clearly working as now there’s a smaller piece of the pie for everyone! Journalists and Bankers just don’t understand economics.

Below are just a few of Justin’s positive initiatves deliberately overlooked by Canada’s hostile press.

He’s ruining the resource industry and destroying livliehoods across the entire economic spectrum as a personal sacrifice!

He’s imposing onerous taxes that he assures us will change the weather in China.

He’s making it mandatory that everyone drives Electric Vehicles while ensuring Canada lacks the energy infrastructure to support them. Well actually Justin and his friends will have EV’s just not the rest of us but that’s OK cause we’ll sing songs of praise while crammed like cattle on the BIG Electric Bus!

He’s managed Canada’s international stature to “Pariah” status as we are now considered a deadbeat laughing stock and security risk by our former closest allies.

He’s made life better for Canada’s China Class by subcontracting security and policing to the CCP in the name of efficiency.

He’s made it clear that Canada stands for the sexual mutilation of children and the on demand surrender of your kids to perverts of all stripes.

He’s made Canada the world’s biggest DEI experiment by destroying our nation’s heritage and values in the name of diversity & multiculturalism all while importing the 3rd World with all its prejudices, hate for western values & conflicts.

He’s making good on his promise of equality for all by ensuring most Canadians can’t afford food and shelter.

And remember it was Justin Trudeau who gave us 10 Dollar Butter!

What we know about William Majcher, the retired RCMP officer charged with conducting foreign interference for China

In 2014, as Beijing was ramping up Operation Fox Hunt, a sprawling campaign to go after corrupt politicians and economic criminals hiding overseas, a representative of the Chinese government approached William Majcher.

A retired former undercover officer with the RCMP, Mr. Majcher had been living in Hong Kong for seven years, working as a corporate investigator and advising banks on money laundering. According to Mr. Majcher, he was invited to meet someone “very close to senior state security,” who asked him whether he would be able to help track down money stolen by corrupt officials.

Nearly 60 per cent of Canadian parents fear for their child’s financial future: survey

A new survey conducted by TD Bank Group shows that nearly 60 per cent of Canadian parents are concerned about their children’s financial future, primarily due to the impact of inflation and the prevailing economic uncertainties in the country.

According to the survey published on Wednesday, an overwhelming majority of surveyed parents (89 per cent) believe that their confidence in their children’s financial future would improve if their kids gained better financial knowledge before their teenage years.

The survey also found that 66 per cent of parents are not highly confident in their children’s current financial knowledge.

Concern is what parents do but we do not live in ordinary times.

Our government is run by sanctimonius idiots who believe destroying the wealth of our nation will bend the planet to their will.

Our education system is overrun by perverts and no longer fit for purpose.

Few can afford rent let alone dream of purchasing a home yet the political class insist mass immigration is the answer to all ills.

It isn’t, it is the ill.

John Robson: Governor General has come to embody the extravagant hypocrisy of our Liberal elite

Indian name means “Put it on the tab”

Watching Canadian “leaders” commit blunder after blunder reminds me of an old jibe about Philip II of Spain that, “No experience of the failure of his policy could shake his belief in its essential excellence.” And of what Marie Antoinette famously did not say about brioches, because it’s less about policies than a sublime sense of personal excellence. Hence our high-flying Governor General just racked up $71,000 in limousine services alone during her four-day trip to Iceland last October. Where do they get this sense of entitlement, and how can we make it stop?

Canada’s ‘Guest of Honour’ Sponsorship of 2021 German Book Fair Cost Over $18 Million: Audit

Indian name means “Put it on the tab”

The federal government paid over $18 million in 2021 for it’s “guest of honour” sponsorship of that year’s Frankfurt Book Fair, according to a newly disclosed federal audit. Gov. Gen. Mary Simon attended the fair with over 30 guests.

“The Department of Canadian Heritage incurred costs of approximately $17.5 million in connection with its responsibilities,” said the department’s “Audit Of Frankfurt Book Fair Controls,” as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

Sources say Justin Trudeau wants to transform the RCMP. Will he turn the Mounties into Canada’s version of FBI agents?

OTTAWA — The Royal Canadian Mounted Police could one day transform into a federal police agency that operates more like the FBI under an ambitious but controversial concept that has gained new traction in the nation’s capital, the Star has learned.

The idea that the RCMP should get out of the business of front-line, day-to-day policing — duties the Mounties now carry out under contracts to provinces — and shift its focus to challenges like national security, terrorism, financial crimes, cybercrime or organized crime, is not a new one.

Given the Trudeau government’s anti-democratic record to date I would not be surprised to see the RCMP formally politicized as an entity primarily concerned with criminalizing dissent.

Given CSIS is waging a civil war against Trudeau and his China Class cronies it may be Trudeau hopes to set up his own version of the Ton Ton Macoute to undermine efforts at exposing the corruption of our political and corporate class. The demonic laughter you hear in the background is Freezer of Bank Accounts Freeland cackling like a Nazi once removed.

Jack Mintz: Forget the ‘just transition.’ It’s the Boondoggle Transition

Forget “energy transition” and “just transition” to describe the transformation of our energy systems. Call it the “boondoggle transition” because that’s what it is turning into.

The $30 billion to be paid by the federal and Ontario governments to just two electric-vehicle battery companies — Volkswagen and Stellantis-LG Energy Solution — is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s expected that together the two projects will “create” 5,500 jobs (though most of the workers likely will come from other jobs) at an eye-popping ten-year cost of $5.5 million per worker. Even if you spread the earnings over 10 years, that’s $550,000 a year, nine times the average Canadian’s annual earnings of $61,000.

Trudeau government snubs global LNG conference in Vancouver

Imagine being the federal minister in charge of the energy file and skipping a major world conference on a lower carbon that was happening in your own backyard.

This isn’t an imaginary scenario, the minister who did this is Jonathan Wilkinson, Justin Trudeau’s minister of natural resources.

Fighting Foreign Influence: Beijing Exploits Gaps in Canadian Law; David Matas Proposes Remedies

Beijing and other tyrannical regimes exploit gaps in Canadian law to advance their transnational repression in Canada, and a prominent international human rights lawyer says this is a problem that calls for comprehensive legislation to combat their foreign interference.

Winnipeg-based lawyer David Matas, senior legal counsel for B’nai Brith Canada, said repressive states like China, Russia, and Iran have been exploiting organizations such as the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to harass and intimidate their own nationals even after they’ve fled abroad to escape persecution back home. He said malign state actors are also abusing conventional mechanisms for international cooperation on criminal matters.
