China’s new plan to fill the God-shaped hole

The CCP is building ‘civilisation centers’ to create a ‘collective soul’

New structures have been seen sprouting up in towns and cities across China. But these aren’t the usual overproduced apartment blocks. They are “New Era Civilization Practice Centers,” hubs from which a vast army of volunteers will host movie nights and vocational education classes, sort trash, visit the elderly, and generally inculcate more “civilized behavior” in Chinese citizens. Their stated mission: to “solve problems for the masses, so that every family can feel the warmth of the Party and the government.”

As detailed in a new report by the website ChinaFile, thousands of these centres have appeared and started providing social services since they first began being trialled in 2018.

California-born figure skater Beverly Zu who defected to ChiComs crashes and burns

The American-born Chinese figure skater who gave up her US citizenship and changed her name to compete for the Communist country at the Winter Olympic in Beijing fell twice during the women’s short program team event – to the scorn of many her adopted country.

Beverly Zu, 19, who changed her name to Zhu Yi, finished with the lowest score of the event at Beijing’s Capital Indoor Stadium after she failed to land a jump and fell on the opening combination, and botched another jump later in her short program.

Court case aims to force Trudeau Liberal Government to acknowledge Uyghur genocide and act against China

By not doing more to stop China’s genocide of the Uyghurs, Canada is ignoring its obligations as laid out in a United Nations convention, a newly filed Federal Court application alleges.

The Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project filed the application in Montreal this week; spokesperson Mehmet Tohti says it aims to have a judge declare that a genocide is happening in China and also issue “any order or remedy” in response.

“They have an obligation to act,” Tohti said of the government, “by staying silent, they are silently contributing to the Chinese government’s attempt to normalize the genocide.”

Doesn’t stand a chance. The China class is well embedded in the Liberal party.

Communist China Cynically Chooses Uyghur Athlete For Genocide Olympics Opening Ceremony Amid Fading Interest In Games

You may not be aware, but the Opening Ceremonies to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics took place Friday morning.

As with every Opening Ceremony, the final act is the lighting of the Olympic cauldron, usually lit by an athlete with the Olympic torch. On Friday, China made a controversial decision with who would be lighting the cauldron, reportedly selecting a Chinese athlete with a Uyghur last name to do the honors. According to The New York Times, the athlete was Dinigeer Yilamujiang, a cross-country skier with Uyghur roots.

Xi and Putin urge NATO to rule out expansion as Ukraine tensions rise

China’s Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin of Russia have signed a joint statement calling on the west to “abandon the ideologised approaches of the cold war”, as the two leaders showcased their warming relationship amid a tense standoff with the west before the Beijing Winter Olympics.

In the joint statement released by the Kremlin, Putin and Xi called on Nato to rule out expansion in eastern Europe, denounced the formation of security blocs in the Asia Pacific region, and criticised the Aukus trilateral security pact between the US, UK and Australia.

The two leaders met for the 38th time since 2013. The two countries also pledged to step up cooperation to thwart “colour revolutions” and external interference, and vowed to further deepen “back-to-back” strategic coordination.

Suicide: Helping China in Space

China’s militant regime wants the United States to aid its space program, and some, including those in the U.S. space community, are eager to provide assistance. Such cooperation, however, would be extremely disadvantageous for the United States, as it has always been.

On January 28, Beijing issued “China’s Space Program: A 2021 Perspective,” its fifth white paper on the subject. Listed priorities include moon landings, asteroid defense, and space debris removal.

‘Nobody can say anything’: China cracks down on dissent ahead of Genocide Olympics

Achill is blowing through Chinese civil society as activists, journalists and academics report receiving police warnings and censorship of their social media platforms in recent weeks as Beijing prepares to host the Winter Olympics beginning on Friday.

In mid-January, the Beijing-based human rights activist Hu Jia said in a tweet that China’s state security apparatus was summoning activists around the country to question them and warn them to stay silent.

China’s Industry-Takeover Playbook

Once lauded as “a storytelling medium that can…convey American ideals, including free expression itself, to foreign populations around the world,” the American film industry has largely abdicated its role in exporting Western values in hopes of catering to a Chinese market that’s now vanishing. The allure of a billion new moviegoers made kowtowing to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) censors seem like a savvy business move, and short-term paydays made selling out seem worth it. But as China has clamped down on market access once again, Hollywood’s ordeal now serves as a cautionary tale: China has a playbook for taking over industries, and yours could be next.

China: What does it want from the Ukraine crisis with Russia?

As the war of words between the US and Russia grows louder over Ukraine, one major player on the international stage has spoken up firmly as well: China.

In recent days, Beijing has called for calm on both sides and the end of a Cold War mentality, while also making it clear it supports Moscow’s concerns.

It would seem obvious that China would side with its longtime ally and former Communist comrade Russia. But how and why it is doing this goes deeper than their history.

Is the Future of the Persian Gulf Chinese?

In early January, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and the Islamic Republic of Iran traveled to China in the span of a week to strengthen their ties with the Chinese Communist Party. China, the emerging global superpower, has become the number one trading partner for these nations, thereby deepening Beijing’s political influence in the Middle East.

Over the last decade, on average, China imported half of its oil from the region. In 2020, China imported $82.6 billion of oil from Persian Gulf countries. Unlike Western democracies, China is in no rush to divest from fossil fuels. As the demand for Persian Gulf oil fades in the West, Chinese imports play an even more critical role in the region’s economic life.

Terry Glavin: The CBC’s gleeful promotion of its ‘Genocide Games’ coverage is shameful

It’s a paradox.

Canadians keep telling public-opinion pollsters they’ve had quite enough of the gruesome Chinese police state and would rather have nothing at all to do with the Beijing Winter Games, which officially kick off this week. With all the national shouting and divisive contentions over COVID-19 containment, inflation and a real estate industry drunk on relentlessly rising housing costs, it’s the one big thing Canadians seem to agree upon.

China Is Undermining the US Through Elite Capture: Author

The United States is currently traveling down a losing path in its battle against China because the communist regime has co-opted many American elites in Washington, Wall Street, corporate America, and the U.S. tech sector, warned author Peter Schweizer.

Schweizer, who recently released his new book “Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win,” said that his book shows how appalling it is that some of the elites have been willing to “kowtow to the regime” just so that they have access to the Chinese market.
