McCallum says he was never paid by Communist China

Former Ambassador to China Defends Comments on Meng Wanzhou Extradition Case

…When questioned if he had received gifts from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) during his tenure as the ambassador, McCallum said he had “not received a penny” as “ambassador, as MP, or post-ambassador” from Beijing.

According to a 2018 Globe and Mail article, McCallum accepted over $73,000 in trips to China sponsored by the Chinese regime or pro-Beijing business groups between 2008 and 2015 during his time as a member of Parliament.

New York Times still pushing Chinese propaganda, staffers still don’t care

Staffers at the New York Times are apparently still too exhausted from being angry about Sen. Tom Cotton to have any thoughts on their employer’s continued promotion of pro-communist agitprop.

On Tuesday, as President-elect Joe Biden continues his transition into the White House, the paper of record published an opinion article authored by a high-ranking Chinese government official titled, “Cooperative Competition Is Possible Between China and the U.S.”

The story’s subhead reads, “A former vice foreign minister of China proposes a way forward for the world’s two leading powers.”

China Joe approves.

Canadians talk tough on standing up to China, are suspicious of Chinese investment and economic might: poll

Most Canadians want Canada to stand up to China when issues seen as our national values — the rule of law, human rights, and democracy — are on the line, a new opinion survey suggests.

The bullish feeling towards China was expressed by 83 per cent of respondents in a public opinion poll on Canadian views on Asia conducted by Ekos Research Associates for the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, a Vancouver-based not-for-profit organization.

The Globe Daily is a known outlet for Chinese Communist Party propaganda. It’s owned by the People’s Daily in Beijing, which is literally an official outlet for the Central Committee. The math isn’t difficult to do.

An oped in the Globe Daily welcomes Joe Biden to the White House (supposing events stay on their current course) with both stern denunciations of Donald Trump and admonitions to not do what Trump did.

NDP and Green MPs to Speak at Event Calling for Release of Meng Wanzhou

An NDP MP and a Green MP are scheduled to speak at an event calling for the release of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou, with a notice about the event from one of the hosts saying the Canadian government has “unjustly incarcerated” her.

NDP MP Niki Ashton and Green Party MP Paul Manly are scheduled to speak in an online panel on Nov. 24 to call for the release of Meng while urging the public to support their cause.

Cooperate with China or World War 3: Kissinger

“I would think we need first of all a dialogue with the Chinese leadership in which we are defining what we’re attempting to prevent and in which the two leaders agree that whatever other conflicts they have they will not resort to military conflict,” Henry Kissinger told Bloomberg News Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait on November 16 at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum. “Unless there is some basis for some cooperative action, the world will slide into a catastrophe comparable to World War I.”

Of course no one wants war of any type with China, but in a little over 14 minutes Kissinger managed to totally misinterpret Chinese history, support Beijing’s most important foreign policy goal, and give deeply misguided advice to Joe Biden. Kissinger has evidently learned nothing from years of dangerous Chinese behavior, which is partly the result of his policy formulations.
