Couple are left fighting for life after being hit by ‘drunk’ off-duty cop who ‘wasn’t breathalyzed or arrested’

Egan - seen here receiving a Letter of Appreciation following a gun bust in 2022 - had a retirement party scheduled the day after the crash, at the same bar he reportedly exited before cutting off the couple

The collision happened around 9:21pm in Illinois Thursday, and left Chelsey Farley and boyfriend Trevor Hopkins severely injured. They were ejected from their vehicle.

The couple were hospitalized, and the driver who hit them was identified as Springfield Police Sgt. Michael Egan. He is seen stumbling and struggling to stand in footage filmed shortly after the crash.

Ontario scrapping post-secondary education requirement for police recruits

The Ontario government said Tuesday it is introducing a number of new measures to boost lagging police recruitment numbers, including eliminating a post-secondary education requirement to be hired as an officer and covering the costs of mandatory training.

“We need more police officers on our streets, more boots on the ground,” Premier Doug Ford said at a news conference at the Ontario Police College. He was joined by Solicitor General Michael Kerzner and Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw.

Ford said he has heard from the chiefs of various police services, who said they are seeing increases in major crimes like auto thefts, break and enters and random acts of violence, but are struggling to attract new recruits.

’60-80 WOUNDS’: Video shows Ohio cops killed unarmed Black man in hail of bullets

Video released on Sunday showed eight police officers in Akron, Ohio, were involved in a shooting that killed an unarmed Black man whose body was found with some 60 gunshot wounds after he fled a traffic stop last week.

At 21:31 in the video, you can hear the shot fired at police. 10 seconds later, the officer reports ‘shots fired’, but the MSM is using the ‘unarmed black man’ mantra.

Jayland Walker was unarmed when 8 Ohio officers opened fire on him, body camera footage shows

At one point, Walker slowed down and jumped out of the vehicle before it came to a full stopped. The footage showed a man, which police said was Walker, exiting the car’s passenger side door wearing a ski mask.

Multiple officers are seen in the footage running after Walker, who appeared to look over his shoulder as officers fired their weapons at him.

Mylett said he has watched the video at least 40 times and said there are still photos showing Walker appear to reach for his waistband, turn toward officer and move an arm forward.

Here are the rules: 1, Comply. 2, Don’t shoot at cops.

Uvalde school police chief ditched his radio during shooting because he ‘thought it would slow him down’ and claims he ‘didn’t know he was in charge’ as he describes standing outside classroom while 12 kids and teachers inside waited for help

The Uvalde School Police Chief widely blamed for the disastrous cop handling of the massacre at an elementary school has revealed he intentionally ditched his radios because he thought they would ‘slow him down’, and said he didn’t know he was in charge of the operation.

Pete Arredondo was in charge of the tiny school police force in the Uvalde Consolidated School district when gunman Salvador Ramos opened fire in Robb Elementary School on May 24.

He has been widely blamed for not responding to the shooting more promptly, and Texas officials even said he gave directives to cops telling them not to try to breach the classroom where Ramos had barricaded himself inside with kids.

Imagine the terror those children faced. Realize the cowardice of every police officer standing outside hearing gunshots and waiting for 77 minutes before entering the building. Consider at the lies the police have told – at least the ones we know about so far. Ask why schools are targets and why the government has done essentially nothing since Columbine to protect schoolchildren. Hint:  because dead kids promote national gun confiscation. The gun grabbers are using massacres of children to promote their flawed and anti-Constitutional anti-gun agenda.

Uvalde Cops Reportedly Tried To Silence the Mom Who Rescued Her Kids and Criticized the Police Response

In an interview with CBS that aired this weekend, Gomez explained how she was able to enter the school and rescue her two children despite the cops’ active efforts to thwart her. The entire interview is a damning indictment of law enforcement’s mishandling of the shooting, but one new detail bears particular emphasis: According to Gomez, the police subsequently contacted her and said that the media attention she was generating for criticizing them could lead to obstruction of justice charges. (Gomez is on probation for unspecified though decades-old charges.)

This woman was inside the school while shots were being fired. The police knew the shooter was still active and let children die instead of entering the school.
