Obtaining the unattainable: Religious exemptions for military vaccine mandate hard to come by

The Marine Corps granted two religious exemption requests for the coronavirus vaccine, the service announced Thursday, marking the first time any such accommodation was affirmed despite thousands of requests.

Religious exemptions are hard to come by in the military. This is the first the Marines have granted in at least a decade, according to the Military Times. The lack of such accommodations as it relates to the coronavirus has also become a source of political division, a microcosm of the perpetual debate regarding whether mandating the vaccine comports with people’s First Amendment rights.

Italian nurse accused of giving fake Covid jabs to anti-vaxxers arrested

Italian police have arrested a nurse in Palermo for allegedly pretending to give Covid vaccines to anti-vaxxer activists so they could benefit from official health certificates to travel and access bars, restaurants and public transport in the country.

Investigators used a hidden camera to film the nurse, a 58-year-old woman working at an inoculation centre in the Sicilian capital. The clip, released on Saturday on Twitter, shows the health worker apparently loading up a dose of Covid-19 vaccine and then emptying the syringe into a tissue before pretending to inject it into the arms of anti-vaxxers.

Tasha Kheiriddin: I dared to write about vaccinations, and I paid dearly for it

It has been quite a week. With Omicron cases on the rise, and politicians ramping up the rhetoric against the unvaccinated, I decided a few days ago to pen what I thought was a column about how either extreme — demonization or accommodation — was the wrong approach to take. It was a moderate position, I thought. And I paid dearly for it.

One word: Mallick

The unvaccinated cherish their freedom to harm others. How can we ever forgive them?

Will we ever forgive the deliberately unvaccinated for having helped spread a disease that killed and disabled so many, devastating the economy, leaving many of us jobless and wretched?

Will we ever look on them gently when their casual choices left us unable to hold a loved one as she died? When a young woman with stage 4 colon cancer had her surgery postponed for the third time because hospitals are packed with unvaccinated COVID-19 patients at death’s door? Death has an open-door policy, never more so than now.

She’s like a Karen on Meth.

I was duped by the Covid lab leak deniers

That senior scientists saw evidence for theories that they trashed in public has shattered trust in science

Inch by painful inch, the truth is being dragged out about how this pandemic started. It is just about understandable, if not forgivable, that Chinese scientists have obfuscated vital information about early cases and their work with similar viruses in Wuhan’s laboratories: they were subject to fierce edicts from a ruthless, totalitarian regime.

It is more shocking to discover in emails released this week that some western scientists were also saying different things in public from what they thought in private. The emails were exchanged over the first weekend of February 2020 between senior virologists on both sides of the Atlantic following a meeting arranged by Sir Jeremy Farrar, head of the Wellcome Trust, with America’s two top biologists, Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, and Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Djokovic leaves Australia after losing deportation appeal

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Novak Djokovic left Australia on Sunday evening after losing his final bid to avoid deportation and play in the Australian Open despite being unvaccinated for COVID-19. A court earlier unanimously dismissed the No. 1-ranked tennis player’s challenge to cancel his visa.

Djokovic, a 34-year-old from Serbia, said he was “extremely disappointed” by the ruling but respected it.

Ontario reports a whole slew of new Covid cases … and Feds unlikely to challenge Quebec’s proposed tax on unvaccinated

Ontario reports a whole slew of new Covid cases … and Feds unlikely to challenge Quebec’s proposed tax on unvaccinated

At least 579 patients with COVID-19 in Ont. ICUs; 40 net new deaths confirmed today

There are now at least 560 patients in Ontario intensive care units with COVID-19, according to the latest data released by the province, which confirmed another 40 net virus-related deaths today.

Officials say there at now approximately 3,595 patients with COVID-19 in Ontario hospitals, including 579 in the ICU. This is up from 2,419 and 412 last Sunday. Officials have cautioned that hospitalization numbers are typically lower than the true total over the weekends due to a lack of reporting by some hospitals.

Feds unlikely to challenge Quebec’s proposed tax on unvaccinated, Charest says

The federal government is unlikely to challenge Quebec’s controversial proposal to apply a tax on the unvaccinated in the province, says former premier Jean Charest.

Quebec has assured Ottawa that they will follow the principles of the Canada Health Act in implementing the levy – if they didn’t, the federal government could withhold health transfers.

Charest said that won’t happen.

Fauci’s Financial Disclosures Released: “Career Civil Servant” And Wife Worth $10.4 Million

During his Senate testimony, Dr. Anthony Fauci was caught on a hot mic lashing out at GOP Senator Roger Marshall for asking him about the bombshell Project Veritas report on gain of function research funding . Fauci just called Senator Roger Marshall a moron because he disagreed with Fauci and said “Jesus Christ” in a derogatory way. This little tyrant can’t keep his cool if anyone questions him. Sen. Marshall is a doctor and Army Vereran! #FireFauci pic.twitter.com/p6gHizlUYe — Robby Starbuck (@robbystarbuck) January 11, 2022 Marshall has now released Dr. Fauci’s unredacted financial disclosures.

Quietly and over some objections, national digital vaccine card has emerged

Whether they realize it or not, about 200 million people in the United States now likely have access to a Covid-19 digital vaccine card.

The digital pass known as the SMART Health Card is voluntary and minimal by design to protect personal information. It has a person’s name, date of birth and the dates and brands of vaccination doses, all contained within a type of scannable bar code known as a QR code.

And after a relatively quiet start, it has built momentum in recent months as more states and companies have signed on, making it something of a de facto national digital vaccine card.

Truth Leaks Out

The COVID origins scandal was genuine, worthy of the world’s best investigative reporters—who ignored it.

The quest for truth-in-COVID did pick up some steam in late spring 2021.

Not about the vaccine, though.

About the origins of the virus.

From the first days of the epidemic, strong circumstantial evidence suggested Sars-CoV-2 had leaked from a Chinese lab. Both the virus itself and the facts around its emergence pointed to human intervention.

Liberal MP backs anti-vax tax proposal as COVID cases surge

A Liberal MP who works as a medical doctor says he’s in favour of making unvaccinated Canadians pay some kind of a special tax — and he believes others in his party agree.

“We already have taxes on tobacco. We have taxes on alcohol, which are there for similar reasons because people who consume those products are more likely to end up in the hospital,” said MP Marcus Powlowski in a panel discussion with fellow MPs airing Saturday on CBC’s The House. “And as a result, we’re all going to have to pay for their hospitalization.”

That means we can Tax Communist China right?
