Canada’s COVID-19 vaccine coverage flatlining as fall nears: ‘The stakes are high’

 

As fall approaches, experts are urging Canadian governments to create new COVID-19 vaccine campaigns to try to boost the country’s stagnant inoculation rate to avoid overwhelming an already strained health-care system.

About 82 per cent of the entire population is fully vaccinated, with roughly half receiving a third dose and just 11 per cent getting a fourth shot, the latest federal data reported on July 17 shows. Aside from fourth doses, which became available this summer, vaccination coverage hasn’t moved significantly in months.

The Unintended Consequences of Declaring ‘Climate Emergency’

President Biden is toying with the idea of declaring climate change a national emergency. Proponents want him to usher in drastic changes to address climate change–bypassing approval from Congress.

But as the old saying goes, haste makes waste. We only need to remember untested environmental policies that sounded good but ended up creating a bigger mess.

Consider California. The Golden State threw every incentive it could at solar energy beginning in 2006. In turn, most new construction in California included solar panels. Despite lawmakers knowing solar energy was relatively untested. Solar energy is significantly less efficient than fossil fuels – especially in a state known for struggling with rolling blackouts. And it’s created a toxic waste problem.

Biden and WHO Declaring States of Health Emergency Over 8 Deaths Worldwide, 1 in the U.S.

Apparently, not being able to find a better excuse to extend a state of emergency, the Biden administration declared another “public health emergency….” According to USA Today, the administration claims it is “a move that could make it easier to tap funding and wield the federal bureaucracy to combat the once-rare disease.”

Biden appears to be following the thoroughly disreputable World Health Organization, which appears to have intentionally and inadvertently botched so much during the CCP virus pandemic. On July 23, the WTO claimed this “‘extraordinary’ situation qualifies as a global emergency.”

Canada’s weather personalities forced to get ‘comfortable with giving bad news’ amid worsening climate change

Warren Dean recalls feeling helpless as a deadly heat dome hovered over British Columbia last summer.

The CTV News weather anchor for Vancouver Island says he and his colleagues tried to hammer home the seriousness of the unprecedented extreme heat event to the public but there were still those who failed to heed the warnings they were issuing.

No mention of ‘Urban Heat Island’, eh?

‘Life On Earth Is At Stake’: CNN Correspondent Suggests Biden Use Military To Produce Electric Vehicles

CNN correspondent Bill Weir suggested that the Biden administration mobilize the military to produce electric vehicles and claimed “life on Earth was at stake” due to climate change on CNN Tuesday.

Weir expressed frustration that the filibuster was preventing Congress from passing legislation and that President Joe Biden was limited in his ability to tackle climate change during his appearance on CNN. He suggested the nationalization of industries as one method to mitigate the issue.

Electric cars are a ruse. We don’t have the electricity or the infrastructure, plus the batteries are hugely problematic for fires, replacement, disposal, and contamination.

Study: Lockdowns Had No Impact on COVID Mortality

In January of 2020, revelations about COVID-19 began gaining widespread attention. At the time, the virus was little known to public health officials and consequently, much of their guidance on its transmission, mortality rates and prevention had a seat-of-the-pants quality about it. Soon we were being instructed to use hand sanitizer, not touch anything that could possibly host pathogens, cover the nose and mouth, keep at least six feet away from others, keep kids out of school and everyone out of church, limit family gatherings, shut down much of the economy except for “essential” services (elusive term!), etc.

Researchers say extreme heat is making mental health crises more common

The World Economic Forum published a report on high temperatures and mental health on July 14, citing more than 10 studies from countries around the world. The report highlighted how extreme heat and humidity are linked to heightened symptoms in people with depression, generalized anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder, according to a 2020 study out of the United Kingdom.
