“Even if you’re vaccinated, continue to take precautions to prevent becoming infected yourself, and to infecting someone else who could die,” WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

Compulsory vaccination is an assault on bodily autonomy.
Austria is breaking new ground in Covid authoritarianism. This week the government announced that it would make vaccinations compulsory – with refusers facing fines that can eventually be converted into prison sentences. This is a wildly authoritarian move, and a dangerous blow to bodily autonomy.
British experts have sounded the alarm over a new Covid variant believed to have emerged in Botswana that is the most mutated version of the virus yet.
Only 10 cases of the strain, which could eventually be named ‘Nu’, have been detected so far.
But it has already been spotted in three countries, suggesting the variant is more widespread.
It carries 32 mutations, many of which suggest it is highly transmissible and vaccine-resistant, and has more alterations to its spike protein than any other variant.

Another good one from Scott Alexander of Astral Codex Ten, who made the case last week that ivermectin looks effective against COVID in some studies because because those studies were conducted in places where parasites are a major health problem. Ivermectin’s not stopping the virus, he theorized, it’s stopping roundworms from interfering with people’s natural immune response to a COVID infection.

Despite the fact that the supply chain across the United States continues to hurt American consumers, starting on January 22, the Biden administration will require nonresident truck drivers, as well as government and emergency response officials, to be fully vaccinated in order to cross the U.S. border.
Ontario reports 591 new COVID-19 cases, 7 more deaths
Ontario reported nearly 600 new COVID-19 cases and seven more deaths on Wednesday as the seven-day rolling average of new infections continued to rise.
Provincial health officials logged 591 new coronavirus infections today, down from 613 on Tuesday but up from 512 a week ago.
Assisted death only for vaccinated, German euthanasia association says
A statement put out by the Hamburg-based group on Friday reads “assisted suicide and the preliminary examination of a patient’s ability to make decisions freely implies physical closeness between people. However, that is precisely the precondition for the spread of Covid.”
Anyone wishing to be euthanized now has to first present proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid, as per the new guidelines issued by Germany’s euthanasia association.
Santa Cruz County, California, is imposing an indoor mask mandate beginning Sunday night which requires residents to wear masks in private settings, including homes, regardless of vaccination status.

In both Yunnan and Laos, the only people who knowingly transported bat virus samples to Wuhan — and only to Wuhan — were scientists
Two years in, there is no doubt the Covid pandemic began in the Chinese city of Wuhan. But there is also little doubt that the bat carrying the progenitor of the virus lived somewhere else.
Central to the mystery of Covid’s origin is how a virus normally found in horseshoe bats in caves in the far south of China or southeast Asia turned up in a city a thousand miles north. New evidence suggests that part of the answer might lie in Laos.

Something troubling is happening in Scotland. At least 21 babies under four weeks old died in September, a rate of 4.9 per 1,000 births. The former average was 2.1 deaths per 1,000 births. The nationalized health service tracks records, because everyone is on the same system; that’s why when an internal alarm is triggered by the data as it rolls in, they stop and look immediately. Public Health Scotland says:
Ontario reports 613 new COVID-19 cases; six additional deaths
Ontario reported more than 600 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, as low testing overall volumes continue to produce test positivity rates of more than three per cent.
The province reported 613 new cases of COVID-19 and six net new deaths today.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases now stands at 675, up from 656 yesterday and 579 one week ago.
FUREY: Read what the kids’ vaccine approval actually says — it’s not a ringing endorsement
This week, the country is set to embark on the roll-out of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for kids in the 5-11 age bracket. It’s looking like this may sadly be one of the more tense and divided parts of the pandemic response to date.
Anti-vaxxers in child immunization disputes with co-parents likely to lose in court: B.C. lawyer
VANCOUVER – With children as young as five now eligible for vaccination against COVID-19, there are likely heated disputes brewing between parents with differing views – and some may eventually end up in a courtroom.
But dragging a fight over childhood immunization before a judge is unlikely to end well for anti-vaccine parents, according to B.C. lawyer Martina Milau, who dealt with a number of similar vaccine battles prior to the pandemic.

In the movie Moneyball, Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane queries his team of scouts when discussing a prospective player, “If he’s a good hitter, why doesn’t he hit good?” The scouts all have solid explanations, at least in their minds, of why a prospect might be a good hitter, from the sound of the crack of the bat when they hit the ball to the player’s good looks.
These explain why the player should be a good hitter, but what if the numbers, from batting average to on-base percentage, tell a different story? The question Billy poses is obvious in its simplicity, good hitters should hit good. And if they don’t, then perhaps they are not really good hitters.
What if we ask the same question about COVID vaccines, rephrased as “If the vaccines work, why aren’t they working?”

Canadians and citizens across the globe must fight back against unlawful mandates, and the complicit legacy media.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has stated that it is “probably going to be quite difficult” to convince Canadians to vaccine their young children.
