WASHINGTON—The U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.
The shift by the Energy Department, which previously was undecided on how the virus emerged, is noted in an update to a 2021 document by Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’s office.
Another ‘conspiracy theory” bites the dust.
The most rigorous and comprehensive analysis of scientific studies conducted on the efficacy of masks for reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses — including Covid-19 — was published late last month. Its conclusions, said Tom Jefferson, the Oxford epidemiologist who is its lead author, were unambiguous.
“There is just no evidence that they” — masks — “make any difference,” he told the journalist Maryanne Demasi. “Full stop.”
But, wait, hold on. What about N-95 masks, as opposed to lower-quality surgical or cloth masks?
“Makes no difference — none of it,” said Jefferson.
Opposition MPs on the House of Commons public accounts committee want to view the contracts for billions of dollars between the federal government and COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers, but the Liberals are seeking a requirement that the MPs sign a non-disclosure agreement before doing so.
Bloc Québécois MP Nathalie Sinclair-Desgagné had tabled a motion in committee on Feb. 13 to have MPs look at the contracts free of any redactions and in a controlled setting where no electronic devices would be allowed.

We now have the most authoritative estimate of the value provided by wearing masks during the pandemic: approximately zero. The most rigorous and extensive review of the scientific literature concludes that neither surgical masks nor N95 masks have been shown to make a difference in reducing the spread of Covid-19 and other respiratory illnesses.

Among highly vaccinated Western nations, Germany is leading the pack in excess deaths according to available data with a 44 percent increase recorded in January.
Dr. John Campbell produced a video presenting the data from Germany and compared it with other nations that have also seen increases but not as high.
Campbell called it a “massive spike” and called it a “matter of massive concern.”

A new Canadian campaign is helping raise awareness for those who have been harmed by the COVID-19 shots.
On January 19, a large truck with the words “COVID-19 Vaccine Injured” next to a woman’s portrait could be spotted in the streets of Ontario. The truck, also sporting the encouraging message of “you are not alone,” is part of a campaign recently launched across Canada called You Are Not Alone (YANA) that is striving to unite Canadians and create “a greater awareness of the damaging effects of the COVID-19 inoculation” by sharing the stories of those who have suffered injuries from the forced jabs.
Two Canadian authors have expanded their book challenging the legitimacy of political and medical COVID-19 narratives and responses.
Marco Navarro-Genie, founder of the Haultain Research Institute, and University of Calgary political scientist Barry Cooper released their expanded edition of “Canada’s COVID: The Story of a Pandemic Moral Panic.”
During their online book launch, Cooper said “concern for the truth” motivated him to write.
A former U.S. Navy SEAL turned podcaster has received a cease and desist letter from Canadian special operations forces over an interview he released with a former sniper from Canada’s top counterterrorism unit, citing the unauthorized sharing of classified information.

In a highly unusual decision that references anti-vaccine misinformation, a Newmarket family court judge has found that a father who does not want his children vaccinated should be allowed to call expert evidence at a trial challenging the “extremely controversial” position that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective.
Superior Court Justice Richard T. Bennett’s lengthy judgment was delivered just days after an Ontario Court of Appeal decision noted it is “simply unrealistic” to have parties in a family court case relitigate the science of vaccination every time there is a disagreement.
The RCMP confirmed on Feb. 14 that investigations are ongoing with regards to individuals who defrauded the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), but wouldn’t say on what scale.

A new report from the non-profit Cochrane Library in the United Kingdom, a clearinghouse of health-care information, confirms that most of what the government insisted people do during the pandemic were useless in preventing COVID infection or reducing COVID severity.
Law Professor Randy Barnett describes the Constitution as “the law that governs those who govern us.” When our government officials violate the constitutional order, they cannot expand citizens’ liberties; instead, they free themselves of legal restraints in order to augment their power to the detriment of the freedoms of the people they represent.
Under the guise of Covid responses, our leaders overthrew our constitutional system of individual rights to increase their power over the citizenry.
