Long on Covid, terrifyingly short on reason

AS FAR as the mainstream media goes, the vaccine-injured are unicorns. Their symptoms are delusional or fabricated for ‘anti-vax’ activism. But the real fantasy is in the purported ‘miracle of science’ of the vaccine – novel mRNA technology that is proving to be anything but safe and effective. Any medical treatment has risks as well as benefits, which should have been properly assessed in clinical trials before mass vaccination began.

Grieving a daughter’s Covid death in Wuhan – while being surveilled

It’s been three years since Yang Min’s only child, Yuxi, died. The 24-year-old had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was admitted to hospital in mid-January 2020 in Wuhan, the Chinese city where the earliest coronavirus cases were detected.

Wuhan was the first place in China – and the world – to be locked down to stop the spread of Covid. The announcement came in the early hours of 23 January and it sent people, scared and uncertain, fleeing into the night.

That city-wide lockdown, lasting 76 days, would become integral to China’s zero-Covid playbook. The country has now scrapped the policy and recently announced that the current wave, driven by a hasty reopening, is drawing to a close.

Covid and the pandemic of moral injury

THE term ‘moral injury’ is a new one for me, as it probably is for most. It’s more commonly applied in a military context and only recently in health and social care, since 2020 to be precise. Indeed, the literature gently, knowingly or unknowingly, nudges us into believing that moral injury, reframed as occupational moral injury, isn’t a new concept but an inevitable consequence of working in an ethically challenging health and social care system.

Fingerprints of Unvaccinated NYC Teachers Flagged to FBI

On February 8, 2023, while arguing on behalf of fired NYC workers who declined covid vaccination, attorney John Bursch stated in open court that unvaccinated teachers in New York City were flagged with problem codes in their personnel files, and when that occurred “their fingerprints are sent with that flag to the FBI and the New York Criminal Justice Services.”

We went too far with Covid restrictions says Germany’s pro-lockdown minister

Some Covid restrictions were “idiocy” and lengthy school closures were an “unnecessary mistake”, Germany’s lockdown chief has admitted.

Karl Lauterbach, who became the face of the pro-lockdown movement, said some regulations went too far.

“Much of what we did was right but what was idiocy was the things like jogging with masks, or rules for outdoors. Those were excessive,” Mr Lauterbach said.

COVID-19 vaccine uptake plunges in Canada

Check the calendar. Has it been more than six months since you’ve gotten a COVID shot?

Experts are concerned with how many people have had any COVID-19 vaccine, regardless if it’s their first vaccine or fifth, in the past six months.

Those who are farther than six months from their last vaccine have a higher chance of a breakthrough infection and the viral load will also be higher, explained Dawn Bowdish, a professor at McMaster University and a Canada Research Chair in aging and immunity.

If China is covering up its Covid death toll, what else is it hiding?

Official statistics clearly cannot be trusted

A story in CityAM this morning will make for uncomfortable reading in Downing Street. The latest business survey from the BDO consultancy has found that more than half of UK firms are worried about reliable access to vital inputs. Supply chain disruptions and labour shortages have already stoked inflation, so the fact that so many producers anticipate further problems is bad news.

Masking likely wouldn’t have eased respiratory virus surge in the fall: PHO document

Introducing a mask mandate when respiratory viruses surged in the fall may not have eased the crush on pediatric hospitals, a Public Health Ontario science brief obtained by The Canadian Press concludes.

The brief — which was not proactively made public, unlike the reports done by the now-defunct science table predecessor — provides a glimpse of the evidence on which Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore made his decision to go no further than a “strong” recommendation on masking in mid-November.

Cory Morgan: A Dangerous Double Standard Appears to Be at Play in Canada’s Justice System

As criminal justice cases related to the COVID-19 pandemic and citizens’ responses to it make their way through Canada’s agonizingly slow justice system, a disturbing trend of possible judicial bias appears to be emerging. The double standard being applied to prosecutions linked to any form of protests against pandemic restrictions is stark and disturbing. The examples are growing.

In a recent article in the Western Standard, it was reported that Crown counsel would not approve the pursuit of charges against a man who used a bicycle as a weapon and attacked a vehicle and the passenger inside it during a protest against pandemic mandates on March 28, 2021. The B.C. prosecution service told the Standard they determined a conviction wouldn’t be likely in the case.

‘Never Again’ documentary takes deep dive comparing COVID propaganda with Nazi Germany

Part two of a five-part documentary film series titled “Never Again” by Children’s Health Defense further explores the eerie parallels between the rise of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany and the West’s response to the COVID-19 so-called pandemic.

Part two, titled “Anyone who wants to start a war has to lie,” begins with the testimony of the creator of the docuseries — Holocaust survivor Vera Sharav — relaying how she first started to become skeptical of the pharmaceutical industry after her son’s unexpected death from a prescription medication known as Clozaril — an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia and related disorders.

COVID vaccine skeptics are asking Canadian hospitals for unvaccinated blood

Some people have refused blood for themselves, or a child, because of unfounded fears of blood ‘tainted’ by COVID mRNA vaccines

Even as the pandemic abates, some issues are still lingering, with some who need blood transfusions appealing to hospitals and Canada’s blood supplier with the request that they receive blood from unvaccinated donors.

Bill Gates: Elon Musk Should Focus on Pushing Mass Vaccination, Not Going to Mars

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has blasted Elon Musk by declaring that the Twitter boss is not a real philanthropist because he doesn’t use his wealth to push mass vaccinations for the public.

While speaking during a new interview with the BBC, Gates took aim at Musk, who also owns electric automaker Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX.

Jamie Salé was Canada’s sweetheart on ice. Now the Olympian is championing something darker

… Salé has questioned, without evidence, the safety of vaccines, tweeted memes that seemed to support military tribunals and appeared to compare Justin Trudeau to Hitler. To be blunt, most Canadians would find Salé’s stance appalling. Most, but not all. The ideas she espouses are consistent with a growing movement, born of cherry-picked data, conspiracy theories and the opinions of scientists rejected by their peers that rose to new heights during three years of pandemic public health measures and isolation.
