US general: China’s Xi Jinping wants to rule the world as ‘only’ superpower, surrounded by ‘vassal states’

“They don’t believe there can be multiple superpowers, they believe that there can only be one, and they want to return back to the glory days of [imperial] China where everybody else was a vassal state and everybody [kowtowed] to the emperor,” U.S. Pacific Air Forces Command chief Kenneth Wilsbach told reporters Friday. “And the emperor now is the Chinese Communist Party.”

Almost two dozen Chinese cities forced to ration electricity after Australian coal ban

Two dozen cities across China’s industrial heartland are rationing electricity.

Homes and businesses are having to cope with shutdowns and extreme heat.

And politically-motivated bans on Australian coal are to blame.

Things are a bit uncertain in Guangdong province.

Summer has come early. Temperatures are soaring. And so are tempers.

Meanwhile, business is booming. But factories face forced closures as pent-up consumer demand is unleashed by the end of pandemic lockdowns.

The problem: sufficient supplies of electricity.

Representatives of Chinese dissident groups reject Trudeau’s comments on racism

Witnesses who appeared before the Commons special committee on Canada-China relations this week said they were troubled by comments Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made about racism — comments that left Conservatives fuming.

During a debate last Wednesday about the dismissal of two Chinese scientists from the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg, Trudeau appeared to suggest that Conservative MPs were feeding anti-Asian sentiments by asking questions.

Questioning government policy on China is not fomenting racism, Prime Minister

Last week, Conservative MP Candice Bergen asked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau why scientists at the Winnipeg infectious-diseases laboratory had been collaborating with Chinese military scientists. Two Canadian scientists have been fired from the lab, so Ms. Bergen’s question was reasonable. Mr. Trudeau’s response was not.

“The rise in anti-Asian racism we have been seeing over the past number of months should be of concern to everyone,” Mr. Trudeau replied, from left field. “I would recommend that the members of the Conservative Party, in their zeal to make personal attacks, not start to push too far into intolerance toward Canadians of diverse origins.”

Mach 30 wind tunnel to ‘put China decades’ ahead in hypersonic race

Chinese Academy of Sciences researcher Han Guilai told an online lecture last week that the JF-22 wind tunnel, in Beijing’s Huairou district, was capable of simulating flights at up to 10km per second – 30 times the speed of sound. Together with an existing facility, also in Beijing, it would put China “about 20 to 30 years ahead” of the West.

‘Wuhan lab is still conducting the same research’: Mike Pompeo warns Institute of Virology is conducting secret military experiments and more deadly viruses could escape

‘What I can say for sure is this: we know that they were engaged in efforts connected to the People’s Liberation Army inside of that laboratory, so military activity being performed alongside what they claimed was just good old civilian research,’ Pompeo told Fox News on Saturday.

LOL! A Covid reporter for The New York Times actually tweeted that the Wuhan lab leak theory is – you guessed it – RACIST

The next time you people over at The New York Times think about calling people racists, why don’t you say what you really mean?

Because what you really mean is “I’m scared of you, I cannot defeat your ideas with logic, so, uhhhh…you’re racist?”

Rand Paul: ‘Fauci Should Be Made to Testify Under Oath’ About Wuhan Lab Funding

“The bottom line is he cannot investigate himself,” he added. “He was responsible for giving this money, so he has every incentive to cover it up and not reveal the truth about it because if the pandemic did come from the lab he would have great culpability in this, so he can’t be investigating this, nor can any of his people that he picks be investigating this. He needs to be excluded from the investigation.”

China Is Building Two Secret Nuclear Reactors. Scientists Are Worried.

The reactors, which are scheduled to power up in 2023 and 2026, are both a type called China Fast Reactor 600 (CFR-600). This kind of reactor is a “breeder,” meaning its nuclear reaction generates more fuel than it uses. And that’s what has scientists from around the world scratching their heads, according to a new report from Al Jazeera.

The goal with most nuclear power plants is to use as much of their fuel up as possible—not make more. That’s especially true when the reactor produces plutonium, which is easy to turn into nuclear weapons.
