Giving The Government Control Over Defining ‘Misinformation’ Will Lead To Opposition Being Branded ‘Misinformation’

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government often talk about fighting ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’.

When they do so they aren’t talking about persuasion or respectful disagreement.

Rather, they’re talking about using the power of the government to define what is and isn’t ‘truth’.

The desperation of Biden’s Disinformation Board

There are dangers to using censorship as a political tool

In 1918, Woodrow Wilson’s Democratic administration passed a piece of legislation it hoped would accelerate the end of the First World War. The new law didn’t directly concern the military — nor was it a revolutionary act of foreign policy. Rather, its target was ordinary American citizens.

DHS disinformation ‘czar’ Jankowicz pushed Trump-Russia claims at center of Durham case

Probably insane.

If the Biden administration is so concerned about disinformation, it may want to take a closer look at its own “czar.”

Nina Jankowicz, who was recently tapped to head the Department of Homeland Security’s nascent Disinformation Governance Board, had no qualms about pushing the since-debunked claim in 2016 that then-presidential candidate Donald Trump had a tie to Kremlin-linked Alfa Bank — allegations that were raised by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and are now a focus of special counsel John Durham’s investigation.

Rand Paul: The ‘Government Is Largely Disseminating Disinformation’

The U.S. federal government is one of the main disseminators of disinformation, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said on Monday, ripping the Biden administration’s Disinformation Governance Board, which is purportedly intended to target online “misinformation.”

“I don’t trust government to figure out what the truth is,” Paul said on Monday, identifying the government as a source of routine misinformation.

Biden’s new disinformation czar said fears about CRT in Loudoun County schools are ‘disinformation for profit’

Freaky DisInfo Chick

Joe Biden’s new ‘disinformation czar’ dismissed concerns about Critical Race Theory in schools as ‘disinformation for profit’ – despite parents across the country being worried about the teaching of the philosophy in their children’s classrooms.

How Republican Senators Can Defund Biden’s Dystopic ‘Disinformation Board’

In an apparent homage to George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984” — one the rest of us realize is a pointed political allegory but the Biden administration apparently views as a handbook — the Biden White House is establishing a Disinformation Governance Board.

Yes, you read that correctly. The government is going to decide what’s true and what’s false, and punish disseminators accordingly. The bureaucrats who run the Department of Homeland security, where this board will be housed, are going to be parsing fact from fiction, obviously to keep us all safe from the scourge of independent judgment and thought.

Government that regularly lies trumpets its fight against ‘disinformation’

On April 27, the Department of Homeland Security trumpeted the creation of a Disinformation Governance Board, which will supposedly battle disinformation.

But why should a government that lies constantly take on the task of deciding what information is true or false? As the Supreme Court noted in Thomas v. Collins, in the realm of political debate, “‘every person must be his own watchman for truth, because the forefathers did not trust any government to separate the truth from the false for us.’”

Freaky DisInfo Chick

Biden’s pick to combat disinformation online has spread her fair share of false information in tweets about masks and former President Donald Trump – and has even expressed her support for the former British spy behind the Russian dossier.

On Wednesday, officials announced that Nina Jankowicz, 33, will head the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board as executive director.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas did not disclose any powers that would be granted to the dystopian-sounding board while addressing lawmakers on Wednesday.

Tucker Carlson WRECKS Biden’s New ‘Ministry of Truth’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson torched Disinformation Governance Board leader Nina Jankowicz for leading the United States into an Orwellian nightmare.

Police states ruled by uniformed generals are SO last century, the hour of the deep state hall monitor has come. Carlson slammed Biden’s new Disinformation Governance Board’s (DGB) in a late April episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight: “To herald the coming of the new Soviet America, the administration announced its own Ministry of Truth,” Carlson said. “This would be called the Disinformation Governance Board.” Carlson clarified that the agency is “using law enforcement powers to identify and punish people who think the wrong things – that would be opponents of the Biden administration.”
