If you had to choose a single dish to eat at every meal of every day for the next four years, would you prefer a sugary, ultra-processed breakfast cereal or hearty steak dinners with green vegetables and baked potatoes? This year’s presidential election boils down to a choice between a bowl of Fruit Loops and a T-bone steak dinner.

We are now at the Trump-is-worse-than-Hitler stage of the Kamala Harris campaign, with just over two weeks until Election Day.

That’s the word from the Atlantic magazine, where CIA cipher Anne Applebaum wrote another hilarious anti-Trump diatribe last week titled “Trump Is Speaking Like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini.”

The Democratic candidate’s boosters have telegraphed how they really think the Bret Baier interview went.

We all know campaigns will say anything if they think it’ll move a vote.

It’s why we have to ignore the overt messaging and look at the subtext.

To get inside a campaign’s thinking — whether it believes it’s winning or losing, whether it’s confident or in a full-blown panic — we have to listen for what’s not being said in the midst of all the insisting and the shouting.

A couple of days ago, The American Mind published a scary tale in which I pondered the question: what would America be like in the (admittedly unlikely) event that Kamala Harris should win the 2024 presidential election?

The brief answer: it wouldn’t be pretty.

The VP has been forced to abandon her safety-first strategy of cozy sit downs with friendly outlets, in a high-stakes pivot towards finding unlikely recruits for her fraying electoral alliance.

Former President Donald Trump served up some fries and political shade against his rival during a behind-the-counter stint at McDonald’s Sunday, which drew a monster crowd to the Feasterville-Trevose, Pa. fast food restaurant.

McDonald’s has long been one of Trump’s favorite chains, but his visit to the Golden Arches Sunday doubled as an effort to re-up his doubts over Vice President Kamala Harris’ claims that she worked there in the 1980s.

Former President Donald Trump blasted Vice President Kamala Harris for refusing to talk about how many illegal immigrants are in the country, walking through what he believes to be the stark reality and making it clear that the country is left with “no choice” but to face the issue head on.

While President Joe Biden’s decision to end his campaign was presented as a peaceful transfer of power, it was anything but. Now, he seems to want to have a few last words and, boy, is he having them.

First, he donned the MAGA hat at an event with firefighters for a 9/11 memorial. Granted, it wasn’t an endorsement at all, but rather Biden having fun with the crowd. Still, though, if Trump were truly the existential threat Democrats portray him to be, would Biden have donned what is essentially an SS-peaked visor cap?

My bet is Jill.

Not everything significant politically is happening just in the target states.

“Never seen anything like this in thirty years,” said California Republican consultant Mike Madrid in an X post, referencing the sharp increase in Republican registration among California’s minority voters, including the state’s numerous Latinos, growing numbers of Asians, and decreasing number of Blacks.

All Kamala wanted to do was run on vibes, vague platitudes & claim she grew up "Middle Class."
