The FBI went rogue a very long time ago. J. Edgar Hoover was a law unto himself, and everyone in political life was a potential victim. His violations of civil rights were a national disgrace. Throughout his 48 years as director, he broke the law routinely. Like his insufferable successor, James Comey, he believed he answered to “a higher authority” — his own conscience. These are delusions of grandeur. The FBI has degenerated into one of the greatest threats to American liberty. These people think they’re above the law.

President-elect Donald J. Trump is gearing up to go nuclear on the FBI and Justice Department, and who can blame him? After years of relentless targeting, capped off with a federal raid on his home in a blatant attempt to torpedo his 2024 campaign, Trump emerged victorious. Now it’s his turn to strike back.

A man wanted by the FBI for more than 20 years allegedly in connection with bombings in the US has been arrested in North Wales.
Daniel Andreas San Diego, 46, was one of the agency’s “most wanted fugitives” in the aftermath of two bombings in the San Francisco area of California in 2003.
Mr San Diego was detained by officers from the National Crime Agency, supported by Counter Terrorism Policing and North Wales Police in co-ordination with the FBI at a property in a rural area next to woodland in Conwy on Monday.

President Trump has chosen Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and to head the CIA Trump wants John Ratcliffe, a man highly qualified in light of recent events. As Trump’s DNI in 2020, Ratcliffe looked into intelligence community involvement in “Crossfire Hurricane” one of several FBI operations against candidate and President Trump and his picks for key posts in his administration such as Gen. Michael Flynn.

Donald Trump’s transition team is ramping up plans to replace FBI Director Christopher Wray before the end of his 10-year-term, the start of what the president-elect hopes will be a major shake-up of the agency that has been his perennial punching bag.
Vice President-elect JD Vance on Tuesday tucked an announcement of the search at the end of a social-media post that began with him referring to someone as a “mouth breathing imbecile.”
Vance said he had recently met with Trump to interview people to be the bureau’s director, in the search for a candidate who would “dismantle the deep state.” He later deleted the post.

The House Judiciary Committee is examining a whistleblower report that the FBI targeted Donald Trump soon after he announced his presidential campaign in June 2015, an off-the-books operation ordered by FBI Director James B. Comey that predated the Crossfire Hurricane operation.
An FBI agent involved in the probe revealed the off-the-books criminal investigation on Tuesday in a protected disclosure sent to the committee.
The whistleblower disclosure said two female FBI undercover agents infiltrated Mr. Trump’s 2016 campaign at high levels and were directed to act as “honeypots” while traveling with Mr. Trump and his campaign staff on the trail.

The FBI sneakily amended its violent crime statistics and negated the Democrats’ ‘Violent Crime is on the Decline’ narrative.
Oops, the FBI has been caught surreptitiously “revising” their crime statistics. The FBI’s stealth edits of their 2022 crime statistics showed that violent crime had not dropped by 2.1 percent as they originally claimed, but actually increased by 4.5 percent. That is a net increase in violent crimes of 6.6 percent from the figures the FBI originally reported. That is quite a large difference.

The agency’s process is shrouded in mystery, and its numbers are often inconsistent.
The mainstream media has recently trumpeted the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s estimate that violent crime fell 3 percent nationally from 2022 to 2023. They have largely ignored, however, the latest iteration of the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), which found a 9 percent increase in property crime in urban areas over that span—part of a 26 percent rise in urban property crime, alongside a whopping 40 percent surge in urban violent crime, from 2019 to 2023.
Set aside, for a moment, the media’s downplaying of BJS’s inconvenient urban-crime data. Are the FBI’s statistics really precise enough to make much of a reported 3 percent annual change in violent crime?

In April of 2024, I posted You’re on you own: what to do about it. The point of that article was we really are on our own. Government is not able to protect us, and when government wrongs us, it’s going to move heaven and earth to avoid paying for that harm.
Yes, this means when we need them most, the police aren’t going to be there, and when we don’t want them at all, they just might, particularly if they’re the FBI. More about this shortly.

When FBI Special Agent Jeffrey Veltri addressed a room of reporters Sunday, he presented himself as a disinterested investigator in the second attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life. But Veltri was known at the FBI to be “adamantly and vocally anti-Trump,” according to a whistleblower account reported by The Washington Times.
“The FBI has assumed the role as the lead federal law enforcement agency in the investigation,” said Veltri, who is in charge of the FBI Miami Field Office, in the press conference. “We will continue to support this investigation with the full resources of the FBI.”

The suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.
Routh was allegedly armed with an assault rifle outside Trump International Golf Club while Trump was playing the fifth hole on Sunday afternoon.
He was able to push the muzzle of his gun through the chainlink fence outside the golf club, authorities said.
FBI says it’s probing ‘attempted assassination’ on Trump after gunman ‘armed with assault rifle’ was shot at by Secret Service on his golf course
Trump confirmed in a statement about an hour after the incident that he is ‘safe and well’ and didn’t want rumors to ‘start spiraling out of control.’

I was out this afternoon and this happened.
Thank you XC, Mauser & DS.

As FBI Director Chris Wray performed his usual smarmy stonewalling in Congress Wednesday, a damning report on his $10 billion agency’s “cult of narcissism” was delivered to the House Judiciary Committee by an alliance of retired and active-duty agents and analysts.
The same group gave us the scathing DEI report last year about the FBI’s degraded recruitment standards and coddling of physically unfit, mentally ill, drug-taking or generally useless agents to satisfy diversity requirements at the expense of merit and experience.
“The Secret Service is really the one to answer that question,” said a Pennsylvania police official to curious reporters after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. “[We] really have to defer to Secret Service for those questions,” an official told another reporter about the Pennsylvania attack. “Well, Secret Service always has the lead on securing something like this…” came another reference to the early evening shooting at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. And on and on it went at a presser on Saturday night after Trump was shot. The bunch that might give us some answers skipped it to possibly stay out of legal trouble with investigators.

The FBI was authorized to use “deadly force” against former President Donald Trump when the Biden administration agency raided Mar-a-Lago in search of classified documents, according to newly unsealed court documents shared on X by independent journalist Julie Kelly.
