Canada has become a cautionary tale of what happens when you let antisemitism run unchecked

When will it stop? Is an end in sight? Just when we want to believe we’ve seen the worst in antisemitism in Canada and hope that the surge in anti-Jewish hate crimes and related incidents that began after Oct. 7 will subside, we’re hit with a fresh reality check.

Indeed, it’s now almost as if each new day brings more troubling headlines for Canada’s Jewish community about yet another disturbing antisemitic action.

‘It’s really heartbreaking to know that we are not supported’: Muslims tell MPs about their experiences with Islamophobia in Canada

OTTAWA — Following the 2021 terrorist attack that killed four members of a Muslim family in London, Ont., Liberal MP Shafqat Ali no longer felt it was safe enough for his hijab-wearing daughter to walk to school alone.

“That incident has put a lasting impact on every Muslim in Canada,” the Brampton MP told parliamentarians Monday.

Has any country other than Canada ever had such a destructive immigration policy?

Poor immigration source country selection has resulted in the import of numerous ethnic and religious conflicts that have no place in Canada.

Bad policy such as multiculturalism that serves only to balkanize society reinforces those poor choices.

But identity politics reigns in this once beautiful land.

If you vote LPC please have yourself committed to a mental institution.

A U of T encampment protester was charged with assault. A video casts new light on what happened

Video of an incident at the University of Toronto that led to a pro-Palestinian protester being charged with assault casts new light on the encounter and, according to the man’s lawyer, raises questions about the charges laid against him.

Someone messed up, Campus cops?

Two New Jersey Islamist Charities Support Anti-Jewish Islamists at Home and Abroad

Gaza – one can only imagine the hardship.

The AUCC fundraises and operates in the West Bank, and more recently in Gaza, through Human Concern International, an Islamic charity Canadian media has previously accused of links to terror.

Two Islamist nonprofits in Teaneck, New Jersey, are driving forces behind anti-Semitic protests in the state, while also providing financial support to a 501(c) operating in Gaza with alleged ties to terror.

The Al Ummah Community Center and the Ray of Sunshine Foundation (RSF) have provided support to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), which operates in the Gaza Strip and has partnered with fronts for the designated terrorist organization Hamas.

It’s a troubling look for the two charities that, in addition to receiving tax-deductible donations from U.S. citizens, also enjoy taxpayer support.

Joe Biden is appeasing Hamas

Much of the diplomacy around the Israel-Hamas war has had a Kafkaesaque quality. A case in point was US president Joe Biden’s announcement last week that, following intensive talks, ‘Israel has offered a comprehensive new proposal’ for ‘a roadmap to an enduring ceasefire and the release of all hostages’. The main elements of this proposed three-phase roadmap are: a complete ceasefire including the release of some hostages, a permanent end to hostilities and a major reconstruction plan for Gaza.

B.C. school district apologizes for asking students ‘Should Israel exist?’

The Burnaby School District superintendent has issued an apology and launched an investigation after a Grade 6/7 class was presented with a question regarding the existence of Israel.

The question reads as follows:

“Some believe that Jewish people deserve or need a homeland (Israel) while others believe that Israel should not exist.”

Students were asked to give a perspective on whether Israel should or should not exist.

I bet this goes on all over the GTA.

WARMINGTON: Only U of T encampment allowed is ‘Little Gaza’ while one supporting Israel is removed

If it wasn’t for double standards, the University of Toronto has been exposed to show it may have no standards at all.

Or they did the right thing to prevent further trouble?

Let the debate begin.

‘Queers for Palestine,’ Like ‘Minks for Fur Coats,’ Support Those Who Want to Slaughter Them

The anti-Israel group “Queers for Palestine,” whose members frequently demonstrate in the streets of US cities to criticize Israel for defending itself against Islamist terrorists, has probably not heard about the case of Ahmad Abu Markhiya, a gay Palestinian man from the West Bank city of Hebron. Even if the organization were aware of the case, it has done nothing to protest against the horrific death of Abu Markhiya.

‘Two-states is a defeat for Hamas,’ US envoy Lew says, touting Saudi deal – interview

A two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a defeat for Hamas, US Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew told The Jerusalem Post as the Biden administration is advancing a Saudi deal that includes a pathway for Palestinian statehood.

“I don’t think Hamas wants two states,” Lew said. “The only time they indicate they want two states is when they’re trying to put a little bit of a patina of legitimacy around their real strategy, which is the elimination of the State of Israel.”

Ottawa not hating on Israel enough says Star Crank

Ottawa’s waffling on Gaza makes commitment to human rights look shaky

If there is one word to describe Ottawa’s response to Israel’s war on Gaza, it surely is: waffle.

The Trudeau government’s politics of appeasement, rather than those of principle, have made its reactions to developments in the Middle East inauthentic to all sides of a divided populace. They have also thrown into doubt Canada’s commitment to an international human rights system.

Polls show the changing opinion of Israelis about a Palestinian state. Can you blame them?

In 2005, the majority of Israelis favored the establishment of a Palestinian state.

By 2013, just over 50% of Israeli Jews still favored a two-state solution, despite a growing wave of Palestinian terror attacks.

Just weeks before the horrors of Oct. 7, 2023, according to a Pew poll, it was already down to 32%.

You could consider Gaza a trial run of a Palestinian state and look how that worked out.

Antisemitism anxiety at synagogues after week of attacks on Jewish institutions

Members of Canada’s Jewish community expressed both anxiety and resolve on Saturday at Shabbat services held following a week of attacks targeting schools and religious institutions that have further stoked fears of rising antisemitism.

In Vancouver, the Schara Tzedeck synagogue held its first service since the building’s front door was charred Thursday night by what police say was an act of arson.

That anxiety will never leave entirely even after the current Gaza war is put to bed.

Muslims are taught to hate Jews. It’s their religion.

Their supremacist cult also teaches them to hate everyone else.

Unless our mainstream political parties wake up and ban Muslim immigration the level of violence will only increase.

I do not expect our political class to do the right thing.
