US Jews in retreat

This is so unjust

You fall asleep with an American Dream, and wake up with an American Nightmare.

The image that haunts me is the sight of Jewish college students who rush for safety in the school library for fear of being attacked by a mob of misfits.

That was how we closed out the year 2023, and in 2024, it starts all over again. Happy New Year.

Lawsuit claims Brampton company ‘refused to provide services to Jews,’ after buses to Ottawa rally failed to show

The UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, a local Jewish charity, has launched a lawsuit against a Brampton company that described itself as a broker of transportation services, for allegedly “refusing to provide services to Jews.”

In the statement of claim for the lawsuit, obtained by the Star, UJA said it paid a nearly $70,000 deposit to secure 27 buses for transporting people to a rally against antisemitism in Ottawa early last month. Most buses never showed and the money was never returned, the group alleges.

Shifa Hospital was Hamas command center, US confirms

U.S. spy agencies verified Israeli claims that Hamas and another Palestinian terrorist group used Shifa Hospital in Gaza City as a command center and to hold hostages, The New York Times reported on Tuesday.

In late November, the Israel Defense Forces released extensive video evidence of terror tunnels under Shifa Hospital—the Gaza Strip’s largest medical facility—saying it “unequivocally” proves the modus operandi of Hamas, “which systematically operates from hospitals.”

Bill Ackman demands Harvard’s board resign in 4,000-word screed blasting university for ‘racist’ DEI policies

How can she still be allowed a position at Harvard?

Billionaire Bill Ackman posted a 4,000-word essay arguing that his alma mater’s policies on diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI, are “the root cause of antisemitism” at Harvard University — even as he called for an overhaul of its governing board.

Hours after celebrating Harvard president Claudine Gay’s resignation, Ackman shared to X at 2:03 a.m. Wednesday that it wasn’t just the nearly 50 allegations of plagiarism against the embattled administrator that concerned him, but concerns that “DEI is racist.”

Muslim group calls on Ottawa to lift cap on program allowing Palestinians to flee to Canada

The National Council of Canadian Muslims is calling on the federal government to remove a cap on the number of Palestinians who can seek refuge with their Canadian extended family members from the violence in the Gaza Strip.

The special extended family program for people in Gaza is set to launch next week. Palestinian Canadians pleaded for months for help from the federal government to rescue their loved ones from the Israel-Hamas war.

Harvard’s Claudine Gay set to keep her high six-figure annual salary despite resigning as university president

She won’t be leading the Crimson, but green shouldn’t be a problem.

Outgoing Harvard President Claudine Gay will still likely earn nearly $900,000 a year despite being forced to resign her position as the school’s top administrator.

Political Science professor Gay — who stepped down amid a tempest of allegations she did not do enough to combat antisemitism and academic plagiarism Tuesday — will now return to a position on the Cambridge, Mass., school’s faculty.

Singh urges solidarity, respect amid heightened fear in Jewish and Muslim communities

OTTAWA – Canadians can and must do better as hate crimes increase during the Israel-Hamas war, federal New Democrat Leader Jagmeet Singh says, calling back to his own experiences of being targeted for his identity.

There has to be space for people to express their fears, worries and political opinions without provoking hateful conduct, Singh said in a year-end interview with The Canadian Press.

“I think we can be better as a country,” the NDP leader said in a phone call from Toronto.

We’ll be doing better the moment your citizenship is revoked and you’re deported to India Singhy.

Ottawa to accept 1,000 applications from Hamas seeking a way out of Gaza

The federal government says a maximum of 1,000 Palestinian relatives of Canadian citizens will be able to apply to escape the Gaza Strip with Canada’s help.

The special extended family program for people in Gaza is set to launch next week, after Palestinian Canadians pleaded with the government for months to rescue their loved ones as the Israel-Hamas war continues.

The policy details released last week say the program will stop taking applications either after it receives 1,000 requests or after a year has elapsed.

The ‘Two-State Solution’ Echoes Hitler’s ‘Final Solution’

This is not a land dispute but a war to terminate Israel.

Israel is fighting our fight.

For civilization.

Against the barbarians.

Yet — Biden/Harris, Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lloyd Austin, Senate/House Democrats publicly urge Israel to ramp down, even stop its military in Gaza. Imagine FDR in newspapers (read by the Nazis) — scolding Churchill — “Not victory, Winston, it’s stalemate, stupid!”

Harvard’s Affirmative Action Anti-Semite Plagiarist Claudine Gay Resigns

Harvard University president Claudine Gay announced Tuesday she is stepping down from leading the prestigious college and will return to the faculty following weeks of controversy over campus politics and her own academic record.

“It is with a heavy heart but a deep love for Harvard that I write to share that I will be stepping down as president,” Gay wrote in the emotional missive.

“[I]t has become clear that it is in the best interests of Harvard for me to resign so that our community can navigate this moment of extraordinary challenge with a focus on the institution rather than any individual,” she explained of the decision.

The Red Cross is an utter, hypocritical failure

In Toronto, they hid behind locked doors when we came. Hard to beleive they wrote the Geneva Conventions.

Mirjana Spoljaric suggested that Israel must negotiate with Hamas to arrange Red Cross (ICRC) access to the hostages. “Israel must work out with Hamas our lack of access to hostages,” she has the gall to say. Clearly the ICRC learned nothing from their disgraceful response to the Holocaust, because this would be like a statement that the Nazis and the Jews should discuss how the Red Cross should respond to the concentration camps.

We can recognize evil when we see it, can the ICRC not recognize evil? Have they learned nothing from their mistakes?

Israel to withdraw some troops from Gaza amid new campaign planning

Israel is withdrawing some troops from Gaza but preparing for an intense campaign to continue there for “six months at least” as well as expanding preparations for a Lebanon war, a senior official has said.

There is growing international pressure to curb an offensive that has so far killed nearly 22,000 Palestinians in Gaza, most of them women and children. Even Israel’s staunchest ally, the US, which rejects calls for a ceasefire, has started pushing the government to scale back the ferocity of its attacks.
