NPR Lefty Listener Shock: 60% See Anti-Israel Bias, Only 24% Anti-Palestinian

National Public Radio’s “Public Editor” Kelly McBride dismissed complaints about NPR’s coverage of the Israel-Hamas war, examining it through a liberal prism and declaring it excellent, although even NPR’s uber-liberal band of listeners offered complaints the coverage was excessively pro-Palestinian.

Two major pro-Israel media watchdog groups, CAMERA and Honest Reporting, have also found much to criticize about the taxpayer-funded radio network’s coverage of the Palestinian terrorist regime.

Jewish communities in Canada shaken by spike in hate incidents since onset of Israel-Hamas war

Two empty Montreal Jewish schools hit by gunfire, Molotov cocktails ignited at a synagogue and the headquarters of a local Jewish non-profit – four hate incidents this week in the city that have brought a new level of anxiety to Jewish communities across Canada.

Montreal has seen a surge in hate-crime cases since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, with police adding the most-recent incidents to a list of another 41 targeting Jewish people and 14 targeting Arab-Muslim communities.

New Canary Mission Report Ties Tlaib to *Six* Hamas Fundraisers

… Two weeks ago, the independent non-profit Canary Mission issued a report connecting the House Democrat to three Hamas fundraisers. Not a single major American media outlet picked up on allegations that a sitting member of Congress had ties to a terrorist organization that had just killed over 30 Americans in Israel, not to mention had a dozen or so more as hostages. A week after that, the number of media outlets reporting on those allegations was still zero.

For years now we have heard that the Squad is done for and the Democrats themselves are going to ensure their demise. Yet not much ever happens.

The end of Gaza’s most beautiful neighbourhood … So what happened to that “Open Air Prison” thing?

Gaza – one can only imagine the hardship.

Around noon on Friday 20 October, the residents of the upscale Gazan neighbourhood of al-Zahra stood in front of the rubble and dust that used to be their homes.

Fridays were supposed to be special: the Islamic day of prayer marks the start of the weekend and in al-Zahra it meant falafel and hummus, coffee and tea, all served in spacious family apartments or villas by the Mediterranean Sea. Residents here knew they were luckier than most in Gaza.

But overnight, Israeli bombs had flattened 25 apartment blocks, home to many hundreds of people. Israel had been bombing Gaza for days in response to the Hamas attacks of 7 October, but al-Zahra had not been hit until now.

Rallying cry or hate speech? What ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ means

“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

To some, it’s a cry for the repatriation of a people kicked to the outskirts of a land they call home. To others, it’s a genocidal refrain, verbalizing a desire to purge the Jews from Israel.

The Star assures us it’s not genocidy at all, well maybe a wee bit but that’s OK.

Israeli officials don’t know how many Hamas hostages are still alive as they call for ‘two-way humanitarianism’: ‘It’s a black hole’

Israeli officials last night made the grim admission that they do not know how many Hamas hostages are still alive after being taken underground a month ago.

The officials, speaking at a screening of the Hamas atrocity at the Consulate in New York, made a public plea for ‘two way’ humanitarian aid to rescue the hostages while the world calls for a ceasefire to save remaining Gazan civilians.

Lt. Commander Jonathan Conricus, speaking from Tel Aviv via Zoom, said of the 1.1million civilians in Gaza, between 850,000 and 900,000 have fled northern Gaza. Yesterday, 50,000 evacuated the region between 9am and 2pm, he said.

A generation gap in attitudes could be undermining support for Israel in the West

For many years now, Israelis have been told that the biggest threat to the survival of the Jewish state is Iran’s quest to obtain nuclear weapons.

But another long-term trend could be eroding the foundations of Israel’s security: a generational decline in western voters’ support and sympathy for the Jewish state.

Public attitudes toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have seen dramatic swings following dramatic events. A Gallup poll conducted for Newsweek in 1982, just days after the massacre of hundreds of Palestinian civilians in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps of Beirut, registered a 17 per cent crash in Americans’ support for Israel.

Teenagers charged after cenotaph defaced with ‘Free Palestine’ slogan

Rochdale Cenotaph defaced by Hamas supporting Muslims

Two teenagers have been charged after a cenotaph was defaced with the words “Free Palestine”.

The memorial in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, was targeted on Tuesday, with the slogan sprayed in red paint on the front of the cenotaph, yards from the police station in the town centre.

Jesse Kline: Trudeau’s failure of moral leadership on violence against Jews

If there is ever a time that calls for clear moral leadership, a moment in which evil acts committed by evil men should be unambiguously denounced, it’s when innocents are targeted by violence, at home and abroad.

Yet this is apparently too much to ask of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose wishy-washy statements about attacks perpetrated against Canadian Jews and commitment to false equivalencies about the Israel-Hamas War show he is more interested in appeasing certain voting blocs than defending the values he purportedly stands for.

Charges following Calgary weekend rally rare according to criminal expert

Calgary police say that during a rally on Sunday a man took to the stage to speak to the large crowd in attendance and that he repeatedly used an antisemitic phrase while encouraging the crowd to follow along.

After consultation with the Calgary Police Service hate crimes coordinator, the man was charged with causing a disturbance and hate motivation has been applied to the charge.

On Tuesday, police announced Wesam Cooley was charged following the Sunday protests supporting Israel and Palestinians.

Seems destined to fail.

Antisemitism takes over the French left

What has made life so frightening for French Jews, is that hate lurks in the most unexpected places

France’s most infamous antisemite is back in the headlines. At the weekend, the president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, declared in an interview that he didn’t believe Jean-Marie Le Pen was an antisemite. This came as a surprise to many given that the ninety-five-year-old Le Pen, who founded the National Front in 1972, has been condemned on six occasions by French courts for just such bigotry.

‘Hamas terrorists gang-raped Israeli woman before one shot her in the back of the head as he was still having sex with her’

Hamas terrorists gang-raped an Israeli woman before one shot her in the back of the head while he was still having sex with her, according to horrifying witness testimony.

Israel’s Lahav 433, a crime-fighting umbrella organisation known as the ‘Israeli FBI’, has been working to gather evidence of sexual assaults during the incursion.

The investigations are part of the force’s effort to prosecute Hamas terrorists who were captured during the attack on October 7, which left more than 1,400 Israelis dead.

The Tribal War over Israel

A global information battle is underway—and the Jewish state is losing.

Israel’s war with Hamas is part of a more extensive information war with a global, networked tribe. Israel is losing that larger struggle. You can gauge the status of this long war in the results of a recent poll (one of many that say the same thing), taken just after the October 7 terrorist attack. Asked whether Israel’s response to the Hamas attack was fully justified, 81 percent of Americans over age 65 said that it was; for those aged 50–64, 56 percent agreed; ages 35–49, 44 percent; and for ages 18–34, only 27 percent agreed.

What Really Happened at the Museum of Tolerance

Islamists and leftists invaded a Jewish neighborhood in Los Angeles and threatened a Holocaust museum that was going to screen uncensored images and videos of the Hamas atrocities carried out on Oct 7

Fake news had been spread that Gal Gadot would host the Museum of Tolerance screening. (She was not even there.) And that Hollywood celebrities would be there. (They were not.) The actual attendees were mostly Jewish and activist community figures.

Snowflakes for Hamas: It turns out that ‘white people’ often means Jews

“The animating force behind this schizophrenic rhetorical divide is the practice of dividing up the world into teams based on notions of who has “power,” which comes in a set number of forms: being wealthy, being able-bodied, being male, being “cis.” More than any other source, power comes from being “white.” In other words, it’s fine if we burn you or your children alive, or cheer on those who do; if you criticize us, that’s an inherently unjust and damaging exercise of power, because we have defined you as being “white.”

Not according to the ADL.
