The Lie Behind the ‘Hearts and Minds’ Plea

Israel can only defeat Hamas by first grabbing Gaza by the balls.

If you get them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.” That’s one version. Another, from a veteran military adviser in Vietnam, turned it around: “It was hard to win the villagers’ hearts and minds when the VC had them by the balls.” As we hover on the brink of a full-scale Israeli invasion of Gaza, these wise words have never been more relevant and, sadly, never more likely to be ignored.

What did Hamas think was going to happen?

Much misfortune the woebegone couldn’t have seen coming: a raging fire in the house next door that spreads to yours. The invention of some kooky technology called ‘the internet’ that puts your travel agency out of business. Yet other calamities are foreseeable. If you suddenly stop filing tax returns without a good excuse – like, dying – it’s a virtual certainty that the all-seeing computer will come after you. So when compounding fees and interest leave you skint, our sympathies are apt to be scant. What did you think was going to happen? Or to up the moral ante: if you slaughter 18 innocents in a frenzy for no apparent reason, you have to expect that your own life will soon be effectively over, too – which is why last week’s shooter in Maine, despite Robert Card’s mental disarray, was still sane enough to eliminate himself voluntarily. What did he think was going to happen?

The ‘Two-State’ Solution to Murder Jews

Since Hamas’s October 7 massacre, thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank have been taking to the streets almost on a daily basis to voice support for the Iran-backed terrorist group based in the Gaza Strip.

This is the same West Bank that the Biden administration and many Westerners are hoping will be part of a future Palestinian state next to Israel. Those who continue to promote the dangerous idea of a “two-state solution” are ignoring the fact that Hamas is sitting not only in the Gaza Strip, but in the West Bank as well.

CBS Calls Campus Anti-Semitism ‘Vigorous Debate’

As threats and violence against Jews escalate across college campuses throughout the United States in the wake of Hamas’ barbaric terrorist attacks, some in media choose to downplay or both-side the overall threat. Case in point, CBS News’ report on the arrest of a student that threatened Jews at Cornell University.

Germany bans Hamas activities, dissolves Samidoun group

Germany has announced a ban on Samidoun, a group that says it advocates for Palestinian prisoners, and imposed further prohibitions to stamp out support for the Islamist militant group Hamas, which Berlin already lists as a terrorist organization.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz had announced that the government planned to take action against the two groups in the days that followed the October 7 massacres in Israel that killed some 1,400 people.

Muslims warn Europe: Stop supporting Israel or….

Welcome to “diversity.”

7,000 pro-Palestinian Arab demonstrators had gathered at the station in Düsseldorf, the seventh largest German city, to march along the Königsallee towards regional Parliament. One of the speakers told the mayor: “Our children already make up 30 percent of the students in Düsseldorf.” Where “ours” stands for Muslims.

Welcome to “diversity”.

Here is the ruthless logic of the pro-Hamas demonstrations that we see these days throughout Europe and in Italy:

“We will be the majority, woe betide you if you support Israel”.

We knew the police were useless – now we know they are cowards too

A few years ago, when Left-wing activists started calling on the Government to “Defund the police”, I ridiculed them. Now, though, I wonder whether they might have had a point. It’s not that I think we shouldn’t have a police force. It’s just that it’s growing less and less clear what we’re getting for our money.

These days, the police hardly ever solve crimes such as burglary and theft. In 2021, a mere 5 per cent of burglaries in England and Wales were solved. And if your bicycle or laptop has been stolen, forget it. You won’t be seeing them again. (I’m referring to the bicycle or laptop, although I might as well be referring to the police, since you probably won’t be seeing them, either.)

The situation in Canada and the UK is comparable though to date our police forces unlike Britain’s have refrained from ripping down Hostage Posters to preserve “community cohesion.”

GOLDSTEIN: The only cure for anti-Semitism is to publicly condemn it

It’s no surprise that anti-Semitism has exploded globally in the wake of Israel’s devastating military response in Gaza to the terrorist attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.

The latest warning comes from FBI Director Christopher Wray, as reported by the BBC, who said anti-Semitism in the U.S. is reaching “historic levels”.

What the hell did you think would happen when you opened the gates to barbarians?

When you allowed universities to be taken over by raving lunatics?

When you demonized anyone who dared point out that not all cultures are equal?

Guardian coverage of Hamas terror attacks is so upsetting I’m leaving, says Jewish staff member

The Guardian’s coverage of the Hamas terror attacks was so “upsetting” a Jewish staff member has said they are planning to leave the organisation.

The employee also claimed that they felt uncomfortable in the newsroom, where fellow staff “dismissed Jewish pain”.

Writing in Jewish News, the anonymous staff member said they had raised concerns about aspects of the Guardian’s reporting.

Hamas claims Israeli strike on refugee camp killed seven hostages

Hamas’s military wing, al-Qassam Brigades, has claimed that seven of the hostages it is holding were killed when Israel bombed Gaza’s largest refugee camp on Tuesday.

At least 50 people were killed and more than 150 injured in the Israeli airstrikes on the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to hospital figures and the local health ministry, which is run by Hamas.

Muslim Org Issues “Ultimatum” to Biden Over Hamas Attacks

“As Gaza turns red, so could crucial battleground states”

There’s been quite the pressure campaign until now from Islamic organizations on the Biden administration.

But this time it comes from a Muslim Dem group issuing an official “ultimatum” threatening a Republican victory. And I do mean “ultimatum.” This is the title: “2023 Ceasefire Ultimatum”.

Will Israel-Hamas cause a world war?

This has all the symptoms of a devastating global conflict

As Israel continues to mourn and Gaza continues to be turned into rubble, many in the Middle East are coming to a grim realisation: that things could soon become much, much worse. Huge tectonic shifts now threaten to rupture the status quo — and even spark a global war.

U.S. Quietly Expands Secret Military Base in Israel

TWO MONTHS BEFORE Hamas attacked Israel, the Pentagon awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to build U.S. troop facilities for a secret base it maintains deep within Israel’s Negev desert, just 20 miles from Gaza. Code-named “Site 512,” the longstanding U.S. base is a radar facility that monitors the skies for missile attacks on Israel.

On October 7, however, when thousands of Hamas rockets were launched, Site 512 saw nothing — because it is focused on Iran, more than 700 miles away.

The Tunnel War – From the air soldiers breathe to the guns they fire, everything is different underground.

After her release from two weeks of Hamas captivity, 85-year-old Yochaved Lifshitz described being marched for several kilometers underground by her captors through “a giant system of tunnels, like spiderwebs.” Few other Israelis had seen the Gaza Strip’s storied tunnel complex, but many are now going to get the chance.

Israeli Defense Forces that pressed several miles into Gaza beginning last Friday are forced to contend with a sophisticated labyrinth of underground tunnels and bunkers constructed over several decades by Hamas, hiding fighters, weapons, and more than 200 Israeli hostages. The elaborate system is believed to extend for hundreds of miles and, in some locations, lies several hundred feet below ground. Military experts who have studied Hamas call the tunnels a formidable defensive system that would be incredibly costly for Israeli troops to neutralize, even after several weeks of heavy bombardment targeting the network.
