However, Netanyahu poured cold water on the Biden-Harris Administration’s claims, saying it was “exactly inaccurate” that an agreement was close.
The Israeli intelligence agency claims to have kidnapped an army assassin inside Iran, thwarting an attack on a businessman in Cyprus.
The alleged assassin, named as Yousef Shahabazi Abbasalilu, a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, was filmed confessing to his role in the plot.
Israeli media said he was to have liaised with Pakistani and other Iranian agents in northern Cyprus, a territory controlled by Turkey, before crossing to the south to kill an Israeli businessman and to bomb a Chabad House, an Orthodox Jewish cultural centre.

With the Biden administration set to restart a new round of nuclear talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the spokesperson for Iran’s military stated over the weekend that they will not give up their pursuit of wiping Israel off the face of the earth.
“We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel, even one millimeter,” Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces, told the Iranian Students News Agency. “We want to destroy Zionism in the world.”
“Two intelligence officials briefed on the damage said it had been caused by a large explosion that completely destroyed the independent — and heavily protected — internal power system that supplies the underground centrifuges that enrich uranium,” The New York Times reported. “The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a classified Israeli operation, said that the explosion had dealt a severe blow to Iran’s ability to enrich uranium and that it could take at least nine months to restore Natanz’s production.”
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz says that the country is prepared to attack Iran’s nuclear sites if the world does not act to stop it from developing a nuclear capability, which threatens to obliterate Israel off the face of the planet, if rhetoric from Iran’s leaders is to be taken seriously.
Iran resumed enriching uranium to 20 percent last week, well in excess of the threshold set out in its landmark 2015 nuclear deal with world powers and a short technical jump from the 90% level of enrichment needed to produce weapons.
