Terrorism Peace Bond hearing continues for B.C. woman formerly linked to ISIS

Kimberly Polman is the focus of a peace bond hearing applied under a rarely used section of the criminal code involving measures to prevent possible terrorist activity.

In 2015, Polman claims she was lured to Syria by her husband, an ISIS member who she met online. In 2019, she was detained for her association with the terrorist group and spent three years in a detention camp in Northern Syria. She was freed in 2022 and returned to Canada.

The peace bond application allows the judge to put certain restrictions on Polman if it’s determined on reasonable grounds she may commit a terrorism offense.

Due to a publication ban, CTV News is not allowed to share details of the evidence and arguments made in court until the hearing is over.

Sara Sharif murder inquiry: Searches continue for father of 10-year-old

Police in Pakistan say they are continuing to search for the father of a 10-year-old girl who was found dead in a house in Surrey.

Sara Sharif”s body was found at her family home in Woking, in the early hours of 10 August.

Surrey Police have confirmed they want to speak to Urfan Sharif, along with his partner and brother.

Pakistan police told they BBC they had been asked to try to locate Mr Sharif, but not arrest him.

Five men found guilty of sexually exploiting two girls in Rochdale, grooming gang capital of the UK

Two brothers are among five men from Rochdale to have been found guilty of sexually exploiting two girls from the ages of 12 and 13.

The girls were “mere objects for the defendants to use, abuse, humiliate then discard”, Manchester Minshull Street crown court heard.

The jury had been warned not to be prejudiced against the defendants simply because of where they were from, with one defence barrister saying Rochdale had become “synonymous with grooming”.

The men had denied 80 counts dating back to 2002 and 2006, when some of them were teenagers.

Jihad in Austria: ‘Christians Must Die’

Two young Muslims living in Austria recently confessed that they would like to “kill Christians” and “restore the caliphate.”

The boys, aged 15 and 16, were put on trial at the Leoben Regional Court on July 16, 2023. They had made plans to massacre as many people as possible during an attack on the middle school attended by the 15-year-old, in Bruck an der Mur, where they both lived.

EU image suffers in Malaysia, Indonesia over Quran burning

Well that sign is revealing.

Attempts by the European Union to bolster free speech in parts of Asia have taken another setback following protests from Muslim-majority countries in response to Quran burnings across northern Europe this year.

The governments of Malaysia and Indonesia, among the largest Muslim-majority countries in the world, summoned European ambassadors and demanded criminal action after an Iraq-born protester tore pages from the Quran and burned the religious book outside a mosque in Stockholm in June.

Similar acts of Quran burning, some carried out by individuals with far-right links, were also conducted in other cities in Sweden, as well as in Denmark last month and in the Netherlands in January.

One also glimpses the beginning of a violent reaction by French society, and perhaps Europe, against the drift of its suburbs.

The fear of the peoples of Europe in the face of mass immigration is constantly described as “xenophobia”. This is the fear that the camarillas in charge can denounce as “racism”, raising the specter of a democratic apocalypse, while the accepted “narrative” evokes an inclusive majority and an excluded minority which, thanks to hyper-tolerance policies, will benefit from it.

But only the blind can deny the ongoing disintegration which validates the sociological thesis of the disappearance of the majority and the birth of a cottage cheese society.

French National Rally Staffers Attacked in Hate Crime

Three staff members of France’s populist National Rally (RN) claim they were attacked in the southern city of Marseille by a group of individuals who asked them if they were Christians before the assault.

Lukas Goslini, who works as an attache in the French Parliament for the National Rally, stated on Wednesday, August 9th, that he and several others had been assaulted last weekend.

AfD leader says Germany is heading for ‘Rotherham-style scandal’ because of immigration

Germany’s “uncontrolled” immigration policies are leading the country towards its own version of the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal, a prominent figure from the radical right has claimed.

In an interview with The Times, Maximilian Krah, who is spearheading the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party’s European election campaign, said an influx of non-European immigrants could never compensate for a shortfall in the “indigenous” birth rate.

Antisemitism is the oldest hatred and the most pernicious. It exists even in places where there are no Jews. In Europe, antisemitism has been an instrument to scapegoat the Jews. Germany, the nation that perpetrated the Holocaust and is directly responsible for the murder of Six Million Jews, continues to exhibit its endemic antisemitic tendencies. The Department for Research and Information on Anti-Semitism (RIAS) has documented 2,480 incidents of antisemitic attacks in 2022, or about seven incidents daily. Much like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in the USA, RIAS tends to find antisemitism mostly in right-wing circles and tends to minimize left-wing and Islamist manifestations of antisemitism. Since the 2015 influx of Muslim immigrants into Germany, anti-Jewish acts of violence and abuse have gone up exponentially. In 2019, for example, the German government documented 2,032 antisemitic incidents. Germany has absorbed about 1.5 million migrants, the overwhelming majority being from Arab-Muslim countries.
