‘I don’t feel safe any more’: Dearborn’s Arab Americans on rising Islamophobia

Amirah Sharhan recalls it being a regular fall afternoon in October 2024.

The Yemeni American, who had been living in the Dearborn and Detroit area for four years, was preparing dinner while her mother took Amirah’s seven-year-old daughter, Saida, to a nearby playground to play with her friends.

But when the door of their home slammed open a little after 3pm, everything changed.

Saida rushed in, holding a napkin against her neck. When Amirah moved it away, she saw a long, deep cut across her daughter’s neck. A man had approached her on the playground, grabbed her head and slit her throat with a knife.

Guardian horseshit:

Amirah is convinced her daughter and mother were targeted for being Muslims; the attack happened two days after the first anniversary of Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel and her grandmother was the only visibly Muslim person in the park.

That the accused was not ultimately charged with committing hate crimes has angered the local Muslim and Arab American communities who have been feeling abandoned and afraid since 7 October 2023.

Saying he doesn’t “believe” it was accidental, Ontario’s education minister lambasted a Toronto high school Tuesday for playing an Arabic version of O Canada as Jewish students mourned the second anniversary of the barbaric mass murders of Oct. 7.

Back then, jubilant crowds gathered spontaneously at Brandenburg Gate and atop the crumbling Berlin Wall. Last week’s celebrations still drew many people, but the atmosphere was tainted by fear. In Germany today, one question looms over every public gathering: will we be safe?

Why Christians Should Care about the Cultural Surrender of Britain

I don’t live on the south coast of England anymore, so—even at an imaginative level—the relentless thousands of fighting-age Muslim men arriving on the shores of Britain on boats each week does not appear to affect my life, my family, or my nation.

I do see it up-close in cities in the Midlands and the north, of course, where multiculturalism has simply been an open drawbridge for cultural Islamism, and where whole areas of such cities look like a completely different place to the Britain most of us grew up knowing.

For most of Britain’s population—even myself—it is remarkably easy to block it all out and pretend it’s not really happening. But it is happening. And it shows no signs of stopping happening anytime soon. Why do we pretend it’s not happening?

For centuries Britain was a bastion against anti-Semitism. Now we have imported it.

It’s the fact that it happened in Britain that is so disturbing. We can no longer tell ourselves that this is a safe country, a country that elevates civic order and religious tolerance, a country that leaves anti-Semitism, along with other forms of extremism, to excitable foreigners.

Until this week, British Jews had been spared the horrors visited on their co-religionists in even our nearest neighbours. France has seen stabbings at a Marseilles synagogue, children shot in a Jewish school in Toulouse, a hostage siege in a kosher supermarket in the Île-de-France, a knife attack on a Jewish community centre in Nice and hundreds of incidents of desecration, intimidation and abuse.

Like Great Britain Canada imported Islam.

Who thought inviting a cult that hates us was good idea?

Synagogue killer’s secret marriage and ‘rape fantasy’ revealed

The Manchester synagogue terrorist had a tangled love life with several women including a Muslim convert, it has emerged.

Jihad al-Shamie, 35, was living with his mother after splitting from his wife and is said to have been obsessed with an Islamic dating app.

He is said to have sent abusive messages to an ex-girlfriend whom he had encouraged to watch “extreme” videos and married a Muslim convert in secret before his wife left him six months ago.

13-Year-Old Suspect Arrested for Shooting 6 in Swedish City Center

Six people were injured in a shooting on Friday night in the town of Gävle, Sweden. Gunfire erupted around 2 a.m. local time on a lively street lined with bars, restaurants, and shops, where people were out enjoying the evening. Swedish Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer described the incident as as “a very serious and ruthless act of violence.”

None of the victims—all teens—sustained life-threatening injuries, but all required hospital care, police spokesman Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro told Expressen.

Statue of ‘Fascist‘ Pope John Paul II Defaced by Pro-Palestine Protesters

Members of a pro-Palestine protest in Rome reportedly defaced a statue honouring the late Pope John Paul II with graffiti that described him as a “fascist”.

The statue of Pope John Paul II in the Piazza Cinquecento outside of Rome’s Termini railway station was spray-painted with the communist hammer and sickle symbol and the words “fascist shit”. Meanwhile, a keffiyeh headdress was wrapped around the statue’s neck.

White Muslim convert arrested after Manchester terror attack

A white Muslim convert widow was among three people arrested on suspicion of terrorism in relation to the Manchester synagogue attack.

Officers raided a house in Bolton on Thursday night, hours after Jihad al-Shamie had attacked the Heaton Park Synagogue in Crumpsall, killing two people and injuring several others.

Police arrested a 43-year-old man, a 46-year-old woman and an 18-year-old girl at the address in Bolton “in connection” with the knife attack, which ended when armed officers shot and killed al-Shamie.

UK Jewish leadership criticizes Tommy Robinson invite to Israel describing him as a bully representing the worst in Britain

The Board of Deputies of British Jews condemned comments by Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, who announced his intention to host right-wing activist Tommy Robinson in Israel later this month.

According to the Board, “Tommy Robinson is a bully representing the worst of Britain. His presence undermines the sincere efforts of those genuinely working to combat Islamic extremism and foster community cohesion.”

The ‘Board of Deputies of British Jews’ seems akin to the ADL suicidally left wing at heart.

I am not sure what allies the ‘Board’ expects to gain by ostracizing Tommy Robinson. 

The ‘Board’s’ opposition is to my view dismissive of working class concerns regarding the toll population replacement scale migration has wrought on their lives.

Tommy has many well documented faults but he remains immensely popular especially among the white working class.

Condemning him will be perceived by many as identical to the ADL’s vicious smear of Charlie Kirk.

They best tread carefully or the silence will roar as never before.

Dutch Parliament Fails to Ban Muslim Brotherhood by Two Votes

According to Visegrád24 on X, a motion in the Dutch Parliament to ban the Muslim Brotherhood narrowly failed today, falling just two votes short. The proposal was introduced by Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV), and MP Maikel Nunes. Despite strong backing from the PVV, the motion collapsed after the right-wing anti-immigration party Forum for Democracy (FvD) unexpectedly withheld its support. It is unclear at this point what made FvD change its mind.

CAIR Says Muslims Have Right to Vandalize Christian Churches

Muslims vandalized the Uncommon Church in Euless TX with obscene anti-Israel graffiti. Leftists and the Islamist group CAIR quickly came to their defense, complaining that vandalizing churches is really protected by the First Amendment.

After Raunaq Alam, Afsheen Khan and Julia Venzor vandalized the church, the Dallas Observer claimed that prosecuting them “erodes the First Amendment rights of protesters and critics of the nation of Israel.”

Sheryl Saperia: Why has Canada not listed all the groups that attacked on October 7 as terrorists?

U.S. President Donald Trump’s newly unveiled Gaza peace plan has thrown the spotlight back on international diplomacy. Israel has already said yes; the world now waits to see whether Hamas will do the same. Canada, meanwhile, prematurely recognized Palestinian statehood without imposing mandatory conditions.

Last week in these pages, I argued that the newly recognized state of Palestine should be designated as a state supporter of terrorism by the Carney government. At a minimum, if Ottawa wants to demonstrate moral clarity, it could start by listing as a terrorist organization every group found to have participated in the October 7 massacre.

Manchester attacker’s father praised Oct 7 Hamas terrorists

The father of the Manchester synagogue attacker praised the Oct 7 Hamas terrorists as “Allah’s men on earth”.

Faraj Al-Shamie posted on Facebook his own support for the invasion of Israel in which 1,200 people were killed and about 250 civilians and soldiers taken hostage.

Mr Al-Shamie, a trauma surgeon who lived in council housing in Britain, said in his post on the day of the attack that the Hamas terrorists who had infiltrated the Jewish state on motorbikes and paragliders had “proved beyond a shadow of a doubt” that Israel would be destroyed eventually.
