The ghost of the future is walking around Brussels

Molenbeek Belgium

Over the last month, we’ve seen an attack on Governor Josh Shapiro’s home, the killing of a young couple in D.C., and now a Molotov cocktail thrown at people peacefully protesting. By the way, what do these incidents have in common? The targets are all Jewish and the guy in Boulder, Colorado somehow managed to get a work permit after his visa expired.

Where else is stuff like this happening? Let’s check out Brussels, once a very traditional European city that tourists loved to visit. Well, check again because Brussels may be exhibit A of Europe’s disintegration and where uncontrolled immigration is running wild.

Right on Time, ABC News Would Like to Remind America of Its ‘Islamophobia’

Let’s recap. We’ve had twenty months of radical intimidation campaigns targeting Jews on college campuses in the US. In recent weeks, the Jewish governor of Pennsylvania got firebombed out of the state’s mansion. An assassin executed two Israeli embassy employees and injured several others outside of a Jewish museum in Washington DC. And last week, a self-proclaimed jihadist attempted to murder dozens of Jewish demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado with Molotov cocktails and a makeshift flamethrower.

Minister lacked details about CSIS operation linked to asset who reportedly smuggled teens

A federal watchdog agency found a breakdown of ministerial accountability after reviewing a clandestine operation abroad connected to claims a CSIS operative smuggled teenage girls into Syria to join ISIS.

The National Security and Intelligence Review Agency (NSIRA) released a heavily redacted version of a top-secret report last week. CBC News has now learned the case involving smuggling claims triggered the review into human source operations.

The report found CSIS failed to give the public safety minister enough details about an operation. A CSIS memo also didn’t convey past issues, and that a number of CSIS activities are “problematic and potentially unlawful,” to help guide his scrutiny of the proposed operation, the report said.

Terror still stalks our streets

Low-level dread persists

Eight years ago today, a white van mounted the pavement in London Bridge. It first struck three people before launching Xavier Thomas into the Thames. Next Chrissy Archibald was trapped under the van, briefly freed then run over. Nearby, tourists mooched about Borough Market admiring glossy chocolate strawberries and Sussex cheeses, craning their necks to look at the Shard. Here, the van crashed; Sara Zelenak and James McMullan were stabbed to death. The attackers ran down the steps leading to Boro Bistro; a waiter there, Alexandre Pigeard, was their next target. Sébastien Bélanger was cornered and knifed; so was Kirsty Boden, a nurse who had rushed to help Pigeard. Ignacio Echeverria swung his skateboard at one attacker; he would be the final victim.

Can you imagine that happening in Canada? Me neither.

Brace yourselves for more Quran-burning trials in Britain

You might well have felt slightly repelled if last February you had passed someone ineptly trying to set fire to a copy of the Quran on the streets of London, while simultaneously using some remarkably fruity language about Islamic doctrine and its effect on believers. The man was Turkish dissident Hamit Coşkun: much to the disgust of a passing Muslim, he was burning the book outside the Turkish consulate as a demonstration against the excessive Islamification of Turkey under Recep Erdoğan.

But whatever your distaste, you should be very worried about the fact that this man has now been branded a criminal – indeed, a hate criminal. Yesterday a district judge at Westminster Magistrates’ Court had no compunction at convicting him of a religiously aggravated public order offence of engaging in disorderly conduct likely to cause distress. The judgment (available here) makes fairly dry reading. But its effect on free speech is very concerning.

Mohammed Sabry Soliman planned Boulder Colorado fire attack for a year, FBI says

A man accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at demonstrators attending a march for Israeli hostages in Colorado on Sunday planned the attack for a year, investigators say.

Mohammed Sabry Soliman, 45, who is charged with a federal hate crime as well as state charges of attempted murder, assault and use of an explosive device, made a brief appearance in court on Monday.

Officials say the Egyptian national targeted a group of pro-Israel protesters at an outdoor mall in Boulder and shouted “Free Palestine” as he threw incendiary devices, injuring eight of them.

Islamists Recruit At-Risk Children From French Emergency Shelters

Amid a rise in militant Muslim fundamentalism, French facilities for vulnerable children appear to be deliberately targeted by Islamist recruiters, who see them as perfect candidates for radicalisation.

This concern comes after reports highlighting other numerous shortcomings of the child welfare services: children are abused, addicted to drugs, or involved in prostitution rings.

Boulder Attack Shows Why Trump Is Right To Revoke Visas For Anti-American Views

Dearborn Michigan

On Sunday, a suspected radical illegal alien from Egypt allegedly burned several peaceful demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, while shouting, “Free Palestine.”

The suspect, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, entered the United States under the Biden administration but overstayed his visa, Fox News reported. Soliman was supposed to leave the country on Feb. 2, 2023, but the Biden administration granted him a work permit that lasted until March 2025, according to the report.

MSNBC host blasted for calling illegal alien Boulder terror suspect a ‘white male’

Frequent MSNBC contributor Tom Winter is facing backlash after branding the suspect of Sunday’s Colorado terror attack ‘a white male’.

The misrepresentation, offered on MSNBC’s The Weekend Primetime, appeared to ignore Egyptian national Mohamed Sabry Soliman’s actual origins as an illegal alien.

The FBI had already confirmed the nature of the ‘targeted’ terror attack when NBC National Security and Justice Correspondent Winter made the characterization, but it came shortly before Soliman was publicly identified.

Trump breaks curious day-long silence on Colorado terror firebombing after being called out by his top political rival

Donald Trump condemned the horrendous terrorist attack in Colorado where six pro-Israel demonstrators were set on fire by an undocumented alien.

The president broke his silence Monday afternoon in a post to Truth Social where he placed the blame on his predecessor.

‘Yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America,’ Trump wrote.

HUNTER: U.S. DOJ cleans house, booting killers and a ‘Canadian’ terrorist

The press release from the U.S. Department of Justice was terse. It was not self-congratulatory.

For a Canadian bombarded with daily examples of the insanity of our own justice and immigration systems, it was refreshing, even inspiring.

On second thought, it was depressing to think how staggeringly high the threshold is in Canada to boot arch-criminals, terrorists and their sympathizers.

Courts ‘reviving blasphemy laws’ after convicting man who burned Koran

British courts have been accused of reviving blasphemy laws after a man who set fire to a copy of the Koran was convicted of a racially aggravated public order offence.

Hamit Coskun shouted “f— Islam” and “Islam is religion of terrorism” while holding the religious text above his head during a protest on Feb 13.

The 50-year-old, who was violently attacked by a passerby during the demonstration in London, went on trial last week, accused of an offence under the Public Order Act.
