On 11 September 2011, the 10th anniversary of 9/11, there was a mass brawl outside a pub in Marble Arch in London. A bunch of boozed-up members of the English Defence League had a run-in with Muslim youths. It was depicted as typical EDL ugliness. As one eye-witness described it to the Evening Standard, the ‘EDL guys’ were drinking outside the pub ‘when a large group of Muslims walked past’. The EDL thugs ‘started hurling racist abuse at the Muslims, who took offence’. ‘[The Muslims] got angry’, the eye-witness said, ‘and were yelling back’. Things escalated and two EDL members were stabbed.

Massachusetts Woman originally from Afghanistan fatally shoots three male relatives before killing herself

A Massachusetts woman shot her brother-in-law, his father, her own dad and herself to death after she publicly accused the first man of physically abusing her sister for years while the other two – along with additional relatives – stood idly by, according to authorities and a chilling social media post that offers an apparent motive for the violence.

The gruesome saga began with a Facebook post published on the afternoon of 23 August in which Khosay Sharifi recounted how her sister has been choked, slapped, kicked, punched in the face and cursed out by her husband of 14 years.

In Saint-Denis, the city where the kings of France rest; in Nantes, the city of the Dukes of Brittany; in Strasbourg, the city of the cathedral and seat of the European Parliament, in Mulhouse, in the heart of Alsace.

“In forty years, France has become the Western European nation where the population of Muslim origin is the most important,” wrote Vatican Radio. “It is not difficult to hypothesize that we are now close to Islam overtaking Catholicism.” What if the overtaking has already taken place?

Canada’s domestic spy agency warned the government in October that the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan could increase the risk of religiously motivated extremism in Canada, documents reviewed by Global News suggest.

Additional newly released documents also suggest Canadian government officials were caught off guard by the speed of the Taliban’s takeover last summer, although the terrorist organization’s resurgence was seen as a foregone conclusion by Canadian intelligence officials as early as May 2021.

Atlanta man arrested after allegedly spray-painting swastikas on rainbow crosswalk, SWAT standoff

A man accused of vandalizing the rainbow crosswalks in Atlanta with swastikas was arrested following a standoff with police this week.

The suspect is believed to have spray-painted a swastika onto the rainbow crosswalk at 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue on two separate occasions, according to Atlanta police.

Investigators went to the suspect’s apartment at around noon on Friday. A SWAT Team was called in after the man would not respond to officers.

Salman Rushdie and the racism of shielding Muslims from offence

Those who want to treat Islam differently to all other faiths see Muslims as lesser citizens.

First the horror, then the silence. It’s been a week since Salman Rushdie was stabbed on stage in New York, the 33-year-old fatwa finally catching up with him, and the mood is strangely muted. There have been some powerful defences of free speech in the media and statements of solidarity with Rushdie, who is still in a hospital bed nursing life-changing injuries. But in general our political and cultural elites have managed only limp, anodyne or oddly delayed interventions – in Labour leader Keir Starmer’s case it took him a full day to say anything about the attempted murder of a fellow knight of the realm. Meanwhile, the culture warriors – those wont to downplay the threat of Islamist extremism and dismiss free speech as a racists’ charter – are keeping remarkably schtum.

Forget Free Speech: Rushdie’s Fatwa Is Winning

Father who spied on al-Qaida accuses Edinburgh school of discrimination

One of the UK’s leading private schools is under investigation after being accused of discrimination against the daughter of one of the west’s most important spies, a former al-Qaida bomb-maker credited with saving thousands of lives.

Aimen Dean, who spied for British intelligence inside the terrorist network for eight years, has made a formal complaint against St George’s School in Edinburgh, claiming it singled out his five-year-old daughter because other parents feared he was a security risk.

Swedish Prime Minister (1946-69) Tage Erlander in 1967 declared in response to the racial riots in the slums of Los Angeles that “we Swedes live in such an infinitely happier situation. The population in our country is homogeneous, not only in terms of race, but also in many other aspects ”.

In 1975 the country introduced multiculturalism with Social Democratic Prime Minister Olof Palme rejecting assimilation in favor of policies that encouraged minorities to maintain separate identities. It was part of the famous “freedom” of the Swedes, free to do and undo everything, from the family to the nation.
