Taliban Burn Instrument In Front Of Crying Afghan Musician

Taliban burned musical instrument in front of a musician in Afghanistan’s Paktia province, a video posted by an Afghan journalist shows, in which the musician was seen crying after his instrument was set on fire.

A viral video posted by Abdulhaq Omeri, a senior journalist of Afghanistan also shows that a man with a gun was laughing at him, while another was making a video of his “miserable condition.”

Colleyville Texas synagogue siege: hostage-taker named as Briton Malik Faisal Akram

A man who died after taking four people hostage at a Texas synagogue has been named by the FBI as 44-year-old British national Malik Faisal Akram.

Akram began a standoff with police after disrupting a religious service at the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, and taking hostages including the rabbi. He released one hostage unharmed after six hours.

More than 10 hours after the siege began, members of the FBI’s hostage rescue team stormed the synagogue to free the three remaining hostages. They were said to be “alive and well” after the siege had been brought to an end.

The Guardian is still searching for motive but wishes to ensure its readers that Islam has mothing to do with Islam and that White Supremacist Jews probably put poor Malik up to it.

Colleyville Texas synagogue hostage taker was British Muslim – reports

A hostage taker who detained four people at a synagogue in a suburb of Dallas, Texas, was a British citizen, reports say.

The man interrupted a morning service in Colleyville on Saturday and has since died.

Police deployed special weapons teams, while FBI negotiators spent hours talking to the assailant.

Explosions and gunfire could be heard before the ten-hour stand-off ended. The hostages have been freed unharmed.

In a statement, the UK Foreign Office said it was aware of the death of a British man in Texas and was in contact with the local authorities. It is not yet clear how the hostage-taker died or who he was.

Rashid suggested that the Charlie Hebdo terror attack and the ISIS attack on the Mohammed cartoon contest in Texas were “examples of ‘chickens coming home to roost’”.

Texas officials say all hostages safe, out of Colleyville synagogue; Muslim hostage-taker dead

Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted about 9:35 p.m. that all hostages are safe and out of a Colleyville synagogue after a loud bang and gunfire were heard.

U.S. Rep. Beth Van Duyne told a Star-Telegram reporter in a text and the hostage-taker is dead.

A loud bang followed by what sounded like gunfire was heard about 9:12 p.m. Saturday outside the Colleyville synagogue where a hostage situation has been ongoing for hours. This developing story will be updated.

Career crook Tito ibn Sheikh appeared in the dock at Southwark Crown Court this week.

But his crime — plotting to launder hundreds of thousands of pounds of stolen money for which he was sentenced to nearly four years — was perhaps less shocking than his notorious family background.

He was born Hamza Mustafa Kamel before changing his name to Tito ibn Sheikh, which roughly translated means ‘son of a venerable man’ in Arabic.

Religious Persecution On The Rise

Christians in Pakistan have suffered the secondary effects of U.S. intervention abroad.

On St. Patrick’s Day, 2018, four men waved down a rickshaw driver in a suburb of the Pakistani megalopolis of Karachi. The men, all Muslim and led by a Muslim cleric, recognized the cabbie, who happened to be a Catholic they had harassed many years prior. They pulled him out of the rickshaw, beat him almost to death, and then set fire to the vehicle, his only source of income.

I know that Christian, whose name is Michael D’Souza. My wife and I befriended him during three years living in Bangkok, where he and his family had fled in 2012, seeking asylum and refugee status. With the assistance of some family and friends, we paid his family’s airfare when they decided, after almost a year in Bangkok’s infamous Immigration Detention Center, to return to Pakistan in summer 2017.

St-Laurent man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting 4 women and a minor

A resident of St-Laurent pleaded guilty on Thursday to sexually assaulting four women and a minor over a period of 13 months.

During a hearing at the Montreal courthouse, Sobhi Akra, 38, also admitted he attempted to sexually assault two other women and another minor within the same time frame, between October 2017 and November 2018.

… Paquin said Akra is undergoing sexology therapy, and lawyers on both sides have requested a report be prepared before they make a joint recommendation on a sentence.

She said Akra faces possible deportation if he is sentenced to a prison term of more than six months.

A woman who claimed Grenfell Tower fire victims were “burnt alive in a Jewish sacrifice” has been found guilty of two counts of stirring up racial hatred.

Tahra Ahmed, 51, posted her theory on Facebook, just days after the fire in west London that killed 72 people.

She also linked Grenfell to an anti-Semitic conspiracy surrounding the 9/11 terror attacks in New York.

She claimed her comments were political rather than anti-Semitic but was convicted by a jury at the Old Bailey.

Palestinians and other Arabs are furious because Mansour Abbas — an Arab member of Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, and head of the United List Party — announced that he recognizes Israel as a Jewish state.

Abbas is being denounced as a “traitor” and “Zionist” by many Palestinians and Arabs who define their countries and political systems as “Arab” or “Islamic.” They claim that the idea of a Jewish state is “racist” but seem not to feel the same way about openly Islamic states: The Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

German court jails former Syrian intelligence officer for life

A German court has sentenced a Syrian former intelligence officer to life in prison in a case the UN rights chief said could lead to accountability for other perpetrators of the war’s “unspeakable crimes”.

Anwar Raslan, a former colonel loyal to the regime who later defected and gained asylum in Germany, was deemed by the judge at Koblenz higher regional court to have verifiably overseen the murder of at least 27 and torture of at least 4,000 prisoners at a detention facility in Damascus.

A Canadian woman traitor who was held for two years at an ISIS detention camp in Syria is now under investigation for terrorism offences and war crimes. However, her lawyer has suggested RCMP officers are exploiting their powers by both monitoring and investigating the Calgary mother ISIS Slag, according to court documents recently filed at the Calgary courthouse.

A publication ban protects the 30-year-old woman’s identity. CBC News will call her “S.A.,” as she was previously identified in Federal Court.

In late 2021, the woman was issued emergency travel documents and returned to Canada, landing in Calgary in late November to reunite with her five-year-old daughter, who eight months earlier had been released to the woman’s sister and American diplomat Peter Galbraith.

Indonesian woman flogged 100 times for adultery, man gets 15 lashes

An Indonesian woman has been flogged 100 times in Aceh province for adultery while the male involved, who denied the accusations, received just 15 lashes.

Ivan Najjar Alavi, the head of the general investigation division at the East Aceh prosecutors’ office, said the court handed down a harsher sentence for the woman after she confessed to investigators she had sex outside of her marriage.

Judges found it difficult to convict the man, who was then the head of the East Aceh fishery agency and also married, because he denied all wrongdoing, Alavi said.
