Two men in New York convicted in ISIS financing scheme that includes Canadian connection

Two men in New York have been convicted in a financing scheme in support of the Islamic State (ISIS), a designated terrorist organization, a case which also has a Canadian connection.

Abdullah At Taqi, 26, of Queens was convicted by a jury in Brooklyn, New York, last Friday of conspiring and attempting to provide material support to ISIS, as well as conspiring to launder money. His co-defendant, Mohamad David Hashimi, had previously pleaded guilty to all counts of the indictment.

The left’s embrace of Islam and socialism

How much farther left will the Democrats go? They’re increasingly aligning themselves with ideologies historically associated with violence and oppression: Islam and socialism or communism. Their incorporation of Marxist thought and accommodation of the influences of radical Islam threaten the American values of individual liberty, free enterprise, and national security.

Communist leaders slaughtered over 100 million people in the 20th century through regimes like the Soviet Union, Maoist China, and North Vietnam. When Democrats advocate for socialism, wealth redistribution, and expanded government control, they echo the ideologies of those regimes. Figures like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez openly identify as “democratic socialists,” promoting policies such as Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and student debt forgiveness. Conservatives view these as steps toward a command economy, eroding capitalism. The Democrat (they’re not democratic) party’s 2020 platform emphasized “economic justice” and taxing the wealthy, which conservatives liken to Marxist class warfare.

They deserve each other… Socialists and Islam

New York Special The Democrats Choose the World Over America

Hakeem “Temu Obama” Jeffries, the House Minority Leader and a congressman from New York City, did not want to endorse Zohran Mamdani.

Jeffries especially didn’t want to endorse Mamdani in the middle of a government shutdown that his party caused by filibustering a short-term budget continuing resolution that, in a few days, will result in missed paychecks for essential federal workers and a suspension of benefits for recipients of programs like SNAP, which is what the old food stamp program has become.

To do so is to embrace a full retreat from the American mainstream.

HEATHER KLEIN: If Muslim nations can reject the burka, why can’t the West?

For centuries, women have fought to be seen, to be heard, and to be treated as equals. We’ve battled to step out of the shadows, into workplaces, schools, governments, and the public eye. Yet today, in the name of “tolerance” and “religious freedom,” we are told to accept a garment that erases women entirely. The burka, an all-encompassing veil that hides every inch of a woman’s body including her face, is not a symbol of faith. It is a symbol of control, and it’s time we stop pretending otherwise.

The Rape of Europe’s Daughters

If it weren’t so depressing, it would almost be funny. Last weekend, the UK watched in horror as the Metropolitan Police unleashed a two-day manhunt for a convicted sex offender and illegal migrant who had been accidentally released from prison.

How did we get here? Hadush Kebatu, a 41-year-old Ethiopian, entered the UK by small boat in June this year and was placed in an asylum centre at the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex. Just a few days after his arrival, he approached a 14-year-old girl wearing her school uniform in Epping town centre, making sexually explicit comments and attempting to kiss her. The next day, he tried to kiss a different woman, before encountering the 14-year-old again and sexually assaulting her. He was arrested and charged.

Grieving mother tears apart Sadiq Khan’s claims Rape Gangs of Asian men don’t prey on young girls

When Sadiq Khan claimed that his city does not have the same grooming gang culture seen in other cities and towns across the UK, it caused anger and incredulity in many quarters.

But few can have been as disturbed by the London Mayor’s self-vindicating claim as Finella Mackrodt – who remains haunted by the loss of her daughter Jasmine, who took her own life at 17.

Because Ms Mackrodt believes that her daughter’s suicide was a direct consequence of the sexualised grooming she was subjected to by organised gangs which began when she was barely out of primary school.

The Islamo-left is on the march across Britain

The next time someone asks what we mean when we say ‘Islamo-left’, I’m going to show them footage from yesterday’s protest in Whitechapel in East London. What a morally suicidal schlep that was. What an unholy union of witless leftists and menacing Islamists. ‘Refugees welcome here!’, cried the granola-fed grads of the limp-wristed left. ‘Allahu Akbar!’, barked the masked mob of religious hotheads. Rarely has the lethal idiocy of the left’s bed-hopping with Islamism been so starkly exposed.

Mamdani’s Experiments Won’t Faze the Rich

New York’s business executives and wealthy residents are scrambling to convince likely mayor Zohran Mamdani to be just a little nice to them next year. But if elected, Mamdani won’t carry out most of his government experiments on them—rather, his agenda would disproportionately affect middle-class and poorer New Yorkers, who may not be aware of the cascading potential consequences of these policies.

Inside Syria’s jail for IS suspects as officials say attacks by group are rising

In the complex mosaic of the new Syria, the old battle against the group calling itself Islamic State (IS) continues in the Kurdish-controlled north-east. It’s a conflict that has slipped from the headlines – with bigger wars elsewhere.

But Kurdish counter-terrorism officials have told the BBC that IS cells in Syria are regrouping and increasing their attacks.

Walid Abdul-Basit Sheikh Mousa was obsessed with motorbikes and finally managed to buy one in January.

Sadiq Khan accused of covering up London’s grooming gangs scandal

Evil

In the small hours of the morning, retired police detective Jon Wedger is on the streets of Tottenham in northeast London to prove gangs are grooming girls for sex in the capital.

“I worked in the Met Police’s vice squad for years, and I’ve never seen so many in one area,” he says. “That’s where the three young girls are.” Wedger confirms that a Somalian girl aged 12 is “working” alongside two English girls aged 15 and 16.

The former officer, who left the Met in 2017 after 25 years, has joined forces with a documentary crew from IBB Media to show the public that child prostitution is happening in plain sight on London’s streets.

The grooming gangs are Labour’s final betrayal of the people – Poor and working-class girls were abandoned to protect multiculturalism.

So the grooming-gangs inquiry that the government never wanted to hold is already falling apart. Colour me surprised. Another betrayal of the victims, to put with all the others.

First, thousands of poor and working-class girls were subjected to rape, torture, sometimes murder, by gangs of predominantly Pakistani Muslim men. Then, their plight was covered up or ignored by police and councils who feared ‘race riots’ if word ever got out. Now, some of those same victims are effectively being called liars all over again, this time by central government.

American Christians: Heed the Example of Decimated Europe

Investigation underway after vandalism reported at church before Turning Point USA event

Those of us sitting in the pews as our bishops deliver thinly-veiled social justice diatribes must work to empower pro-Christian leaders.

Mass immigration and rising godless progressivism have resulted in a surge of hostility and violence against Christians in Europe, but the same could happen in America if American Christians aren’t careful. José Luis Bazán, a consultant to Europe’s Catholic bishops, recently issued a report on the phenomenon, documenting roughly 1,600 attacks against Catholic Churches in France and Greece, as well as similar attacks in Spain and Italy. “These attacks reflect a climate of ideological hostility toward religion,” Bazán told Catholic News Agency. “Attacks or acts of vandalism against places of worship are pandemic,” he emphasized. “We have fragmentary elements here and there, but if you put them all together, you realize the upward trend.”

Gloomy New Yorkers

Says one New Yorker: “This is a nightmare, a catastrophe. How did we let this happen?”

This was after the debate, for mayor, against Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, and though nobody asked, the probable winner, Zorhan Mamdani, forcefully, and emphatically, and angrily, announced himself a proud Muslim who intends to serve New York City as a proud Muslim. Other proud Muslims stood there with him, unsmiling.

For far too long, said Mamdani, Muslims have been living in the shadows. This will change when he becomes mayor.

Inviting Muslims to settle was the most stupid and evil act of our elites ever.

Islam and the Bible are fuelling France’s ‘baptism boom’

You have probably heard that something extraordinary is happening in the Catholic Church in France. The French bishops’ conference announced in April that more than 10,000 adults were due to be baptised in 2025 – a 45 per cent increase on the year before.

It’s not just adult baptisms that are booming. A record 19,000 people, many young, attended this year’s Paris to Chartres pilgrimage. An unprecedented 13,500 high school students took part in the 2025 Lourdes FRAT pilgrimage, a major annual youth event.

The manhunt for the Epping sex offender shames the British state

It took staff at HMP Chelmsford more than an hour to realise their blunder. The most notorious sex offender in Britain – an Ethiopian migrant convicted of sexually assaulting a teenager – had just been accidentally released on to the streets. At around 11.30am on Friday, instead of being sent to an immigration facility, where he would then be deported to his home country, he was let out of prison and sent on his merry way. The manhunt is ongoing.
