ICC Decides Its Jurisdiction Extends to Territories Controlled by Israel Since 1967 Six Day War

The court has for years been examining allegations of war crimes committed by Israel since 2014. The investigation started one month before both sides fought a war, which left more than 2,000 Palestinians, including civilians dead.

The International Criminal Court said it had decided by majority that its territorial jurisdiction “in the situation in Palestine” extends to territories held by Israel since 1967 Six-Day War, namely Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The court’s announcement paves the way for an investigation. However, the ICC noted that it is not “constitutionally competent” to determine matters of statehood that would bind the international community.

The ICC, like the UN, is yet another corrupt institution dominated by shithole states.

Palestinians: No to Normalization with the ‘Zionist entity’

If and when the Biden administration manages to revive the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians, it will have to take into consideration that the Arab campaign against normalization with Israel remains as aggressive as ever.

The anti-normalization campaign, which is also waged by Palestinians, means that any Palestinian leader or negotiator who is seen sitting with an Israeli will be condemned by Palestinians and possibly other Arabs as a traitor.

Biden Begins Unraveling Middle East Peace

He continues to undo the Trump administration’s historic achievements.

The Biden administration, should it play its cards right, could capitalize on the momentum of the Trump administration’s Abraham Accords to gain further diplomatic wins for Middle East peace. The Trump administration departed very close to clinching normalization deals between Israel and Mauritania and Israel and Indonesia, and had made significant progress on the Israel–Oman and Israel–Saudi Arabia tracks as well. So normalization agreements between Israel and these four countries seem reasonable goals for the Biden administration.

Iran Turns Gaza Into Storehouse for Weapons

As many in the international community express more and more concern about the economic and humanitarian crisis in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, the Palestinian terror groups there seem less and less concerned about improving the living conditions of their people.

These groups, specifically Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), are not doing anything to secure vaccines against COVID-19 for the two million Palestinians living under their rule in the Gaza Strip.

French appeals court rules Ottawa’s Hassan Diab to stand trial for 1980 terror attack

OTTAWA — A lawyer for Hassan Diab says a French appeal court’s order that the Ottawa sociology professor stand trial for a decades-old synagogue bombing is the latest misstep in a long odyssey of injustice.

Donald Bayne tells a news conference the decision delivered today in Paris flies in the face of the evidence.

The RCMP arrested Diab in November 2008 in response to a request by France.

Palestinians: An International “Peace” Conference to Displace Israel

The Palestinian ruling Fatah faction has just celebrated the 56^th anniversary of the launching of its first terrorist attack on January 1, 1965 by promising, in Arabic, to continue the fight to do away with Israel. On that day, Fatah terrorists attempted to bomb Israel’s National Water Carrier.

Meanwhile, Fatah’s leader, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, is trying to persuade the Arab countries and the rest of the international community to pressure Israel to return to the negotiating table with the Palestinians. He is arguing that he is just seeking to establish an independent Palestinian state next to Israel.

The Arab world has moved on from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The rest of the world should join them

Before President Trump, the conventional wisdom was that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was and would forever be at the center of Arab nations’ foreign policy in the region. Fortunately, this illusion has not survived his presidency. How quickly the Arab world has moved on. Now, the rest of the world should follow suit.

For decades, the United States and the international community have myopically obsessed over the need for a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. While the resolution to that conflict would be a positive thing in and of itself, narrow focus on this to the exclusion of all else effectively prevented anyone from making attainable progress in the region.

Hezbollah’s Great Diversion

More than four months have passed since the huge explosion at the port of the Lebanese capital of Beirut, and many Lebanese are demanding answers to role of the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization in the port “massacre.” They are also demanding an end to Iran’s occupation of Lebanon.

On August 4, a large amount of ammonium nitrate stored at the Beirut port exploded, causing at least 204 deaths, 6,500 injuries, and $15 billion in property damage. An estimated 300,000 people were left homeless.
