One can lie about “collusion” with impunity. But to speak the truth about collusion is to be smeared as “xenophobic,” “racist,” and “nativist.”

Historians will dissect the origins and spread of the mass hysteria of Russian “collusion.”

The farce infected the media. It discredited the Democratic Party. And it warped the popular culture between 2015 and 2020.

“Collusion” destroyed what was left of respect for the Washington FBI, the CIA, and the liberal news media. When 50 former “intelligence” officers can attest, right before the election, that the Hunter Biden scandal emails are likely Russian disinformation designed to help Trump, then there is nothing much left of the reputation of our once best and brightest.

Attorneys for Joe Biden’s son and brother are refusing to cooperate with congressional oversight, according to a Senate chairman.

Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have been probing the foreign business dealings, along with other matters, of the Biden family for around a year.

Johnson chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Grassley chairs the Senate Finance Committee.

Now that the election is over and it is safe for the media to cover the Hunter Biden scandal they ignored when The Post broke the story in October, things in Washington are getting back to normal. FBI and Justice Department officials are once again leaking like sieves to their favorite reporters.

The New York Times knew before the election that Joe Biden was the “big guy” in line for a secret 10 percent stake in a deal with a Chinese energy conglomerate, but the paper withheld the information from readers. Yet now that Hunter Biden admits he’s under a criminal tax probe, the Gray Lady begins to stir.

Bidens Deflect, Avoid Questions on Son Hunter Biden After Disclosure He’s Being Investigated

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his wife separately deflected questions about their son after it was disclosed he is under investigation by federal authorities.

During a press conference in Wilmington, Delaware, on Friday, Joe Biden was asked if his son, Hunter Biden, 50, committed a crime.

“I’m proud of my son,” Joe Biden, 78, responded. He said nothing further.

In the world of Democrat politics, there are no coincidences.  With that principle in mind, it’s possible to understand why Democrat media outlets are suddenly reporting about Hunter Biden’s corruption, a story that spills over onto his father.  The first is to get ahead of potential breaking news about Hunter’s imminent arrest.  The second theory is the one Monica Showalter advanced: the leftists used Biden to attain the White House (or so they believe) and are now ready to get rid of him.  Having a criminal son may be just what the Obama/Harris camp needs to make that happen. And if there’s any doubt about this theory, an article in The New York Times seems to lay it to rest. 

And so are certain laptops.

Less than two months ago, Facebook’s Andy Stone labeled the New York Post story on Hunter Biden’s business dealings with authoritarian governments as “part of a foreign manipulation attempt” and announced “reducing its distribution on our platform.”

It turns out this “foreign manipulation attempt” ensnared even the Justice Department. It currently investigates Joe Biden’s son for reasons included in the Post piece.

In the political/Cold War thriller The Manchurian Candidate, a U.S. soldier being held as a prisoner-of-war is brainwashed by Chinese and Russian agents and becomes a traitorous “sleeper” agent hidden within the civilian population. The film’s popularity led to the phrase “Manchurian candidate” used to define any person or politician as a disloyal puppet of an enemy power.
