Are we witnessing a societal shift in Canada?
The milder Omicron variant has resulted in thousands of COVID cases in recent weeks. Many Canadians know of others who have tested positive but have very mild symptoms – with only a small percentage of people having to go to the hospital.
As a result, many Canadians are starting to wonder why we’re in lockdown yet again.

Citizens of Quebec arise! Demand the revolutionary right to… take a stroll after 10 p.m., without a dog. Or see a family member.

If you haven’t come down with the mild Omicron variant yourself, you likely know several families who have and they’ve been telling you their stories.
This is already changing the way people think about and discuss COVID-19 responses. It’s making people more critical of public health measures. It’s compelling more people to ask: What’s the big deal?

While plenty of countries are currently experiencing record-breaking COVID-19 cases due to Omicron, almost none are locking down quite as hard as Ontario and Quebec . Both Canadian provinces have closed schools and imposed blanket bans on indoor dining, gyms and bars, and Quebec has even imposed a curfew prescribing fines of up to $6,000 for anyone outside their home after 10 p.m. without explanation. Here’s a quick look at how that compares to the rest of the Omicron-plagued world.

Maxime Bernier called out the fact that shuttering all places in Ontario, which only allowed those with the COVID jabs access to them, shows vaccine passports are a failure.

The very smart and educated people of Yale have decided to quarantine all of their students for the next month due to the very scary Omicron variant of Covid-19.

For all the vaccine passports and shutdowns in provinces across the country, only Quebec has gone so far as to impose a curfew on its citizens to supposedly flatten the curve. Twice. The latest curfew went into effect New Year’s Eve and subjects Quebecers to fines if they are caught outside their homes at night. Westphalian Times senior editor Marie Oakes joined The Andrew Lawton Show to talk about Quebec’s restrictions and why a number of Canadians – including her – are headed for the border and not looking back.

On Tuesday morning, The New York Times’ “Morning Newsletter” said that since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, “Americans have accepted more harm to children in exchange for less harm to adults” in a piece titled, “No Way to Grow Up.” That is, of course, a true statement. Yet that admission left many conservatives frustrated for having warned of the damage that lockdowns were doing to kids for nearly two years, only to be met with ridicule and dismissive attitudes from leftist media and politicians.

Minister of Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair made the announcement via Twitter Monday morning.
“Following our approval of Quebec’s request for federal assistance, Canadian Armed Forces personnel will begin their deployment today to provide support to the province’s vaccination campaign,” he wrote. “Our officials continue to assess what other federal resources can be utilized to help the province combat COVID-19.”
They really do think we’re stupid.

A drastic lockdown is shutting down semiconductor production in the Chinese city of Xian, where China acknowledges a mere total of 1,000 cases (not hospitalizations or deaths) during the current outbreak in a city with a population of 13 million. By comparison, New York City, with a population of 8 million, had 40,856 cases on December 30 and a 7-day average of 28,808 cases per day.

Quebec is once again imposing a curfew in an effort to curb the spread of the highly contagious Omicron variant, as well as closing restaurant dining rooms, delaying the reopening of schools and closing non-essential businesses on Sundays.
Want to know where the lockdown, two weeks to slow the spread, close the schools, isolate everyone, solitary confinement, everyone has to do it, masks, etc came from? A 14 year old’s science project and her autistic dad…and George Bush. https://t.co/sWXg6RFmag
