Our political elites have utterly failed to address the cultural changes that are undermining our nation

Britain will be unrecognisable by the end of this century. Unless things change, and change fast, the population of the UK will be permanently transformed by mass immigration. White Britons will become a minority by the year 2063. The foreign-born and their immediate descendants will become a majority by 2079. And nearly one in four people in the UK will be following Islam by the year 2100; this figure would rise to around one in three among under-40s.

Many people struggle to make sense of the pace and scale of these changes. They ask how a nation can be transformed this fast without the consent of the governed.

But, last week, brand new data from the Office for National Statistics has made it abundantly clear that these trends are already well underway.

Grooming Gang Scandal ESCALATES

The role of culture, ethnicity and religion must not be brushed under the carpet.

Keir Starmer was left with no choice but to commit to a national statutory inquiry into the grooming-gangs scandal, following the publication of Louise Casey’s damning national audit last month. This inquiry is long overdue and it is vital that no stone is left unturned in the search for truth.

The earlier reluctance to even hold an inquiry was undoubtedly due to the racial sensitivities involved. The UK prime minister and much of the establishment have long been unwilling to acknowledge the backgrounds of many of the perpetrators. But Casey’s report surely points to a pattern that no inquiry can ignore.

What happened to all the progressive feminists? At a time when the industrial-scale exploitation of girls across the UK has been back at the top of the news agenda, we have heard remarkably little from what you might call the professional feminist set.

Louise Casey’s audit on grooming gangs, published last week, was sufficiently explosive to force UK prime minister Keir Starmer to u-turn on his opposition to holding a national inquiry into the scandal. Of course, in many ways, the report merely underlined what victims, parents and a few brave journalists have been trying to communicate for decades: that vast swathes of young girls across the UK have been sexually exploited by grooming gangs, made up disproportionately by Pakistani Muslim men.

The common factor amongst the perpetrators is not nationality or ethnicity but Islam, and the common factor amongst the victims is that they are non-Muslims.

We need to talk about the failure to collect and provide data about the offenders connected to the grooming gangs—or what is more accurately described as child sexual slavery and enforced child trafficking.

Despite having signed and ratified the Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence (‘the Istanbul Convention’) which, in article 11, requires the UK authorities to collect and make public such data, we have an intelligence picture that is so bad it suggests the truth is being deliberately obscured to hide the true scale and nature of these horrors.

The horror of what can befall a society in the sway of wokeism’s toxic ideology was revealed in England this week, with a report detailing how children as young as 10 were raped on an almost industrial scale by predatory gangs, while authorities did nothing.

Social workers, police, judges and politicians were so afraid of being called racist, they allowed this evil abuse of society’s most vulnerable to flourish for more than a decade and a half.

Baroness Casey, whose national audit of child sexual exploitation was published yesterday afternoon, has today claimed that “it is clear” grooming gangs are still operating in Britain. Addressing the Home Affairs Committee in Parliament this morning, Casey, who serves as the Government’s lead non-executive director, said that “people don’t necessarily look hard enough to find these children in particular”, and that collecting incomplete data on the ethnicity of perpetrators has been “a bloody disaster”.
