Ford’s electric F-150 Lightning pickup may be all but dead

America’s best-selling electric pickup may be headed for the chopping block. According to a new WSJ report, Ford is now considering killing off the F-150 Lightning.

After Ford halted production of the electric pickup at its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan, earlier this year, it may never return to the assembly line.

Ford announced during its third-quarter earnings that F-150 Lightning production would remain paused after a fire at Novelis’ plant in New York disrupted aluminum supply.

Has the Left Moved on From Climate Change?

Not this guy.

Average Americans have moved on from climate change, and the Left is pretending to not care either.

No one cares about climate change anymore.

According to research by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, media coverage of climate change has dropped by half since 2023. The decline also shows up in Google searches for “climate change,” which have also decreased by half since 2023.

Thinking of adding solar panels to your home? Here’s what this Ontario man learned after spending $50,000 on them

In the push for green energy, more people are installing solar panels, given that there are government incentives and rebates that can help with the cost.

However, before buying them, there are many factors to consider. They may lower your electricity bill, but it could take a long time to break even and installing them could affect your home’s resale value and insurance premiums.

What a waste.

The fight against climate change appears to be officially dead

When Microsoft co-founder and global philanthropist Bill Gates recently released a 17-page memo recalibrating his position on climate change, he knew controversy would ensue. Still, it is difficult to overstate the impact of his observations, and the alarm, disappointment and bewilderment it has caused.

In some quarters, though, Mr. Gates was met with pure elation. “I (we) just won the war on the climate change hoax,” U.S. President Donald Trump said on his social-media platform Truth Social. “Bill Gates has finally admitted that he was completely wrong on the issue.”

Europe’s Race to Net-Zero – and Total Self-Destruction?

In 1992, global carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions stood at 22.3 billion metric tons. By 2024, they had reached a record high of 37.4 billion tons— an increase of nearly 68%.

Europe, by comparison, emitted 4 billion tons in 1992. By 2023, this figure had fallen to around 2.5 billion tons, a reduction of approximately 40% — on a global scale, a derisory amount.

Company building Toronto’s new electric ferries faces criminal corruption charges overseas

The shipbuilder awarded $92 million to construct Toronto’s two new electric ferries will soon face trial overseas on corruption charges and sanctions violations, a legal threat experts say could imperil the company.

The Netherlands Public Prosecution Service announced in April that it was prosecuting Damen, a major international shipbuilder headquartered in the Netherlands, for bribery, forgery and money-laundering. The service also said it was investigating the company for violating Russian sanctions.

I bet these will work great mid-winter.

Jesse Kline: Carney trolls Canada with claim buyers want ‘low carbon’ oil

Prime Minister Mark Carney came to power on a platform of change, promising to prioritize economic growth over the divisive politics of the Trudeau era. Budget 2025 was considered the first real test of his premiership, and while it contains some good measures, it continues to follow the modern Liberal playbook of throwing ungodly sums of money at our problems and attempting to centrally plan the economy.

Canada’s first battery plant in Windsor will produce energy storage batteries as EV sales slump persists

Nextstar Energy Ltd. will produce batteries for energy storage, not electric vehicles, when its gigafactory in Windsor, Ont. begins commercial production next month.

Expanding into the growing market for energy storage production will keep the plant busy until EV sales pick up again, said Danies Lee, chief executive of Nextstar.

“The EV market is slowed down,” said Lee, chief executive of Nextstar. “It’s like a trend that will come soon, but it does not come as soon as we expect it, so while we are waiting, we have this opportunity from the (energy storage system) ESS market.”

893 Companies Have Withdrawn From the Global Climate Initiative

Nearly 900 companies – including several large international corporations – have withdrawn from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). This initiative requires members to set scientifically validated climate targets in order to align their emissions goals with international standards. However, more and more companies are questioning the feasibility of these requirements. The withdrawal affects approximately seven percent of all participating companies.

GOLDSTEIN: Funding government climate change programs costs every Canadian over $12,000

Figuring out how much Canadians are paying for government climate change programs is difficult because the information is scattered across the three levels of government we have in Canada.

That said, a rough estimate of the cost for federal, provincial and territorial programs alone (excluding municipal governments) is $503 billion, or $12,062 per Canadian.

Automakers urge Ottawa to scrap electric vehicle mandate

Domestic auto manufacturers are calling on cabinet to permanently repeal Canada’s electric vehicle sales mandate, saying it penalizes the industry and threatens competitiveness.

Blacklock’s Reporter says Brian Kingston, CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association, told the Commons industry committee the policy could be overturned immediately to benefit Canadian automakers.

GUNTER: Ottawa’s EV mandate just isn’t possible in the time frame

Brian Kingston, CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association, Monday asked the Commons industry committee to recommend scrapping the federal EV mandate for good, not just for 2026. In September, Prime Minister Mark Carney suspended the EV mandate for next year that would have dictated carmakers ensure at least 20% of the cars and light trucks sold next year were EVs.

Bill Gates Backflips and Says ‘Climate Change‘ No Threat to Humanity

Why are people panicking about the weather? Climate doomer Bill Gates thinks everyone should just calm down. He believes “climate change” is a serious problem but it won’t be the end of humanity as we know it, a 17-page memo released Tuesday by the billionaire reveals.

Gates now thinks scientific innovation will curb any threats — real and perceived — to the planet’s climate and it’s instead time for a “strategic pivot” away from focusing on limiting rising temperatures to fighting poverty and preventing disease.

Can Canada build a new oil pipeline? That’s ‘overfocusing’ on a ‘hypothetical,’ energy minister says

OTTAWA — Federal Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson says the question of whether there is a business case for a new bitumen pipeline in Canada will be up to the private sector to decide.

He also suggests the question of whether the country can, in fact, build a new oil pipeline to be an “overfocusing” on a “hypothetical.”

“I think Canada can build many things,” Hodgson told National Post in a wide-ranging interview on Monday.

Carney don’t want no pipeline.
