Ex-Royal Navy commander faces court martial over New Zealand ship sinking

Commander Yvonne Gray has since launched a tourist targeted glass bottom boat business

A former Royal Navy officer will face a court martial after the New Zealand ship she was commanding struck a reef and sank when the crew failed to turn off the autopilot.

Commander Yvonne Gray, a former Royal Navy warfare officer aboard frigates and minehunters, was in charge of the New Zealand navy’s 5,740-ton dive and hydrographic vessel, HMNZS Manawanui, when it hit a reef and sank near the southern coast of Upolu in Samoa in October 2024.

Largest Meth Seizure in New Zealand History Arrived in Maple Syrup Bottles From Vancouver

AUCKLAND — Three men were sentenced in Auckland’s High Court this week for their role in receiving the largest methamphetamine seizure ever recorded at New Zealand’s border, which arrived from Vancouver’s port concealed in maple syrup bottles. Customs officers intercepted 713.8 kilograms of the drug in January 2023, enough for roughly 35 million doses and calculated to equate to NZ$800 million in drug harms. The shipment, stacked on 18 pallets and disguised as four-litre syrup jugs, was routed through a global node for Chinese chemical precursor trafficking and synthetic drug production.

MSNBC blasted for ‘depraved’ article that sympathizes with Laken Riley’s migrant killer Jose Ibarra

MSNBC has faced widespread backlash after publishing an opinion piece sympathizing with the killer of Laken Riley.

Legal analyst Danny Cevallos came under fire for his take on the Georgia nursing student’s brutal murder and the trial of Jose Ibarra, 25, an illegal immigrant and member of Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, published under a headline saying he ‘never stood a chance.’

Ibarra was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Thursday, as a judge found him guilty after hearing volumes of damning evidence, including Ibarra’s DNA found under Laken’s fingernails from when she fought for her life.

Bluesky is hell on Earth

‘Blue days, all of them gone’, Al Jolson sang, almost a hundred years ago. ‘Nothing but blue skies from now on!’ Mr Jolson’s sunny sentiments seem to have been oddly prescient. For 97 years later, the great and the good of the public sphere – well, at least the ones who never stop telling themselves and us how great and good they are – are decamping en masse from X (formerly Twitter) to rival social-media site Bluesky.

WTF?

“Immigration Minister Marc Miller yesterday enacted new regulations he acknowledged will cost Canadian jobs, a first for any federal cabinet. Miller’s department in a legal notice quietly reneged on a public promise to limit foreign students in the workforce: “This may result in increased competition for Canadians.””

From Down Under … and slightly to the right of OZ

Why did Australia vote No in the Voice referendum?

I’m in Sydney for the Voice referendum result and was ready to settle in and watch the declarations for each state – but it’s already over. No looks to have won, by a pretty big margin. Tasmania voted No and New South Wales seems to have gone the same way. Both were swing states. If those two voted heavily for No, then it’s likely that it has won by a landslide. Similarly, No is way ahead in Victoria and is likely to win by a large margin when counting begins in Western Australia. So, an ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice’ will not added to Australia’s democratic apparatus. Aussies have voted to protect the principle of everyone being equal before the law and in parliament.

New Zealand: out with the old, in with the new

With Christopher Luxon now the next New Zealand Prime Minister and a majority about to be formed in Parliament via a coalition with the Act Party and its very inspiring speaker and leader, David Seymour, there is little doubt that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

New Zealand First may jump on this bandwagon too and why wouldn’t they?

With Labour and the Greens having plummeted in the results, the dream, or rather, cauchemar, of their coalition has been rightly thrown under a bus.

New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern, Scotland’s Nicola Sturgeon and Canada’s Justin Trudeau – What do they have in Common?

Jacinda Ardern and Nicola Sturgeon both resigned suddenly for “reasons.” They both just knew it was time to go.

Ardern and Sturgeon coincidentally were both labelled China’s Stooges in the past much as we’ve come to regard Justin Trudeau.

It is alleged that China funded Ardern’s Labour Party and had penetrated New Zealand political networks just as Trudeau’s Liberal party has been infiltrated.

Serious consideration was given to kicking New Zealand out of the 5 Eyes intelligence alliance.

Sturgeon was caught up in a UK based Chinese spy ring  – Chinese spy scandal engulfs ‘useful idiot’ Nicola Sturgeon and her gullible SNP administration.

Sturgeon was also tangled up in some shady & secretive business deals with Communist Chinese firms targeting key Scottish infrastructure projects.

So like Trudeau, Ardern and Sturgeon certainly number among China’s Useful Idiots.

And given their well known status as “Useful Idiots” it makes me wonder if Jacinda Ardern and Nicola Sturgeon were forced out by a shadowy hand preparing for conflict with China.

Is Justin Trudeau next in line because he is considered a security risk of the same rank?

Note that the UK, Australia and the US did not invite Canada or New Zealand to join the AUKUS security alliance.

Would the cold shoulder be due to Canada and New Zealand being compromised by Communist China?

Are we witnessing a shadowy hand at work tying up loose ends?

Who do you think sabotaged the NordStream pipelines? Bear in mind that one theory suggests Germany was viewed as a weak link in the Anti-Russia alliance and the pipeline sabotage was seen as a means to keep them on side.

I find Trudeau’s support for Ukraine to be over the top shameless and frankly out of character. It’s as if he were compensating for something. A complicated relationship with China perhaps?

With NordStream in mind ask yourself – would the same party see the removal of our 3 Sinophiles in a similar light?

The prospect of war, proxy or hot, with a desperate, demographically collapsing Communist China would cause me to shore up the weak spots in my armor.

Ardern, Sturgeon and Trudeau are the sort you’d want sidelined as tensions escalate.

It may be simple coincidence that 2 of 3 China Stooges have been swept off the board in short order but if anyone is at work then please Shadowy hand do take out Trudeau and his ChiCom corrupted Liberal Party.

Canada & the world will be better off without them.

Jacinda Ardern will need ‘more ongoing protection than any PM in NZ’s history’

Departing Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will need more ongoing security and protection than any former New Zealand PM, according to political scientist and former intelligence worker Paul Buchanan.

“Let’s start by saying things have changed dramatically since the day John Key stepped down, and one might say fundamentally,” Buchanan said.

“The security requirements for ex-Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern are going to be far tougher than any previous prime minister – by a lot.”

She should be exiled that will save money.

Tucker Carlson floats idea Jacinda Ardern – whom he calls ‘the lady with the big teeth’ – was a puppet for the Chinese government

Tucker Carlson criticized resigning New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, including a shot at the soon-to-be former head of state’s teeth and suggesting she’s a puppet for the Chinese government.

Ardern fought back tears as she announced her shock resignation as New Zealand prime minister Wednesday, saying she no longer has ‘enough left in the tank’ to lead her country.

Carlson gave a fiery critique of the prime minister on his show Wednesday, calling her ‘COVID-crazed’ and criticizing her teeth, adding she was the ‘most authoritarian leader that country ever had and no one else comes close.’

She absolutely was a CCP stooge, which explains why Justin loved her.

China’s communists fund Jacinda Ardern’s Labour Party: What the United States Congress was told

An influential United States Congress hearing has been told “one of the major fundraisers for Jacinda Ardern’s party” is linked to the Chinese Communist Party and it showed China had penetrated New Zealand’s political networks.

As a result, US lawmakers needed to consider whether New Zealand should be kicked out of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance because of problems at its “political core”.
