Social Distancing and Wearing Masks Could Last ‘Years’, Says Govt Scientist

Wearing masks and social distancing could go on for “years”, says Public Health England’s chief of immunisation.

Dr Mary Ramsey claimed on Sunday that social distancing and other practices like wearing a face-covering would go on for “quite a long period of time”.

“People have got used to those lower-level restrictions now, and people can live with them, and the economy can still go on with those less severe restrictions in place.

MALCOLM: For many Canadians, the cure is worse than the disease

It has been over a year now since COVID-19 began to wreak havoc on our society.

Remember, we were originally told to stay home for 14 days to “flatten the curve.”

The curve described the number of critical care patients in our hospital system, which we were told was at risk of being overrun because of COVID-19. Our under-funded government-managed system simply couldn’t handle the predicted worst case scenario influx, and so, we all stayed inside for the “greater good.”

Well, those two weeks have turned into 52 weeks and counting and, in that time, we’ve witnessed a remarkable transformation of our society.

Democrats Want ‘Vaccine Passports’ Required To Attend Concerts, But No IDs Required To Vote

While Democrats aim to eliminate voter ID laws under the 800-page election bill H.R. 1, also known as the “For the People Act,” they contrarily flirt with the idea of mandating citizens show proof of COVID-19 vaccine or testing results.

According to H.R. 1, states are to be prohibited from requiring voter identification, including things like witness signatures, and notary stamps. This would ultimately overturn laws in 36 states, as noted by the National Conference of State Legislatures.

The UK is secretly testing a controversial web snooping tool

For the last two years police and internet companies across the UK have been quietly building and testing surveillance technology that could log and store the web browsing of every single person in the country.

The tests, which are being run by two unnamed internet service providers, the Home Office and the National Crime Agency, are being conducted under controversial surveillance laws introduced at the end of 2016. If successful, data collection systems could be rolled out nationally, creating one of the most powerful and controversial surveillance tools used by any democratic nation.

Legal challenge launched seeking end to government quarantine hotels

The Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) is launching a legal challenge to the Trudeau government’s mandatory quarantine hotels.

In a statement on Monday, the CCF said it will argue that forcing people to stay in quarantine hotels and pay out of pocket violates the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The CCF is joining five individuals who were forced to stay in quarantine hotels after travelling abroad for compassionate reasons, such as attending a funeral or attending to a spouse who received surgery abroad.

Cleared for takeoff? World eyes ‘health passports’

From digital certificates to “health passports”, countries and airlines across the globe are hoping to relaunch travel by letting people prove their Covid-free status.

But with patchy vaccine access around the world and mounting concerns over data privacy, questions are swirling about how the measures will work in practice.

The New Normal (Phase 2)

So, we’re almost a year into the “New Normal” (a/k/a “pathologized totalitarianism”) and things are still looking … well, pretty totalitarian.

Most of Western Europe is still in “lockdown,” or “under curfew,” or in some other state of “health emergency.” Police are fining and arresting people for “being outdoors without a valid reason.” Protest is still banned. Dissent is still censored. The official propaganda is relentless. Governments are ruling by edict, subjecting people to an ever-changing series of increasingly absurd restrictions of the most fundamental aspects of everyday life.

And now, the campaign to “vaccinate” the entirety of humanity against a virus that causes mild to moderate flu-like symptoms or, more commonly, no symptoms at all, in over 95% of those infected, and that over 99% of the infected survive (and that has no real effect on age-adjusted death rates, and the mortality profile of which is more or less identical to the normal mortality profile) is being waged with literally religious fervor.

“Vaccine passports” (which are definitely creepy, but which bear no resemblance to Aryan Ancestry Certificates, or any other fascistic apartheid-type documents, so don’t even think about making such a comparison!) are in the pipeline in a number of countries. They have already been rolled out in Israel.

The Alberta Government has turned Care Homes into Outbreak Centres

Currently, if someone returns to Canada on an international flight not only do they have to go out and get a specific COVID-19 test three days before their return, but they are welcomed back to the country with a three-day stay in a quarantined hotel. They are required to pay for this hotel stay before they can return to their homes which in many cases may have only been a few kilometres away from the hotel.

After hearing that, one assumes that the government’s management of public health and safety in this COVID-19 crisis is one guided by the utmost caution, perhaps one may say, the response could be viewed as overly cautious. More to the point, surely these strict lockdowns must be nothing compared to the measures taken to protect our seniors in care homes. That is where you would be wrong.

Federal Conservatives revoke memberships of anti-lockdown pastor and son

The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) has decided to kick out a controversial anti-lockdown pastor from Aylmer, Ontario and his son.

According to Herbert Hildebrandt, both his father’s and his membership were revoked by the party without explanation.
