D.N.C. Slows Biden’s Nomination as Party Discontent Persists

The Democratic National Committee is pushing back by a week its plans to nominate President Biden for re-election in a virtual roll call as the party’s voters and many of its top officials continue to express discontent about heading into the general election with him atop their ticket.

Top party officials announced on Wednesday that the virtual roll call for Mr. Biden would take place during the first week of August, an accommodation to Democrats who had protested about plans that would have started the voting as soon as next week.

Searching for someone to whisper in a leader’s ear

Who does Justin Trudeau listen to? Who can tap him on the shoulder and tell him it might be time to go? That’s a question that came up among Liberals this summer.

In the U.S., a similar question was asked, with more urgency, about President Joe Biden. His halting debate performance in June has many Democrats fearing that if he is the party’s candidate, he will hand the presidency to Donald Trump. A series of private delegations of Democrats have reportedly sought to give him that message.

Rep. Adam Schiff calls on Biden to drop out of presidential race

Disgusting pile of shit

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who is heavily favored to win California’s Senate race in November, called on President Biden on Wednesday to drop out of the presidential contest, becoming one of the highest-profile members of his party to urge Biden to abandon his bid.

In a statement, Schiff called Biden “one of the most consequential presidents in our nation’s history” but questioned his ability to defeat former president Donald Trump and said that a “second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy.”

“While the choice to withdraw from the campaign is President Biden’s alone, I believe it is time for him to pass the torch,” Schiff said.

He’s Not Well You Know

After the Rumble with the Mumble debate our President is now officially away with the fairies in the view of most constituencies in the U.S. But after he released statements earlier this week stating that folks will have to prise his cold dead hands away from both the Presidency and the Democrat nomination for another term, he picked up some surprising support. The mainstream media were now stuck on the fence not knowing what to do despite earlier comments that assumed Biden would go. Ditto many Democrat power brokers and establishment folks.

The Democrats’ No-Win Scenario

A divided, demoralized party slouches toward November.

President Biden’s high-stakes press conference at this week’s NATO summit was a triumph — for his challenger, former president Trump.

Why? Because Biden’s performance did nothing to resolve the Democratic Party’s dilemma over his status as its 2024 presidential candidate. The press conference supplied Biden’s internal critics with ammunition against his candidacy, such as when he misidentified Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump.” But Biden’s answers on foreign-policy questions were also strong enough to reassure, at least for the moment, his allies within the party. The result is that Biden lives to fight another day as the Democrats’ presumptive nominee.

How the White House hid the truth about Biden’s decline from the world

Following Joe Biden’s disastrous performance against Donald Trump in their debate on June 27, White House reporters started poring through the visitors log at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. One name kept cropping up again and again: Dr Kevin Cannard.

The neurologist and specialist in movement disorders works at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which serves the President. Eagled-eyed journalists spotted that he visited the White House no fewer than eight times between last July and this March.

Biden’s gaffes aren’t going to stop, says former US ambassador

Joe Biden should end his career because “the gaffes are not going to stop”, a former British ambassador to the US has said.
Lord Darroch, who served as the UK’s representative in Washington until 2019, on Friday called on the US president to suspend his campaign after a series of embarrassing mistakes on the world stage.

Mr Biden fuelled concern about his mental fitness with two gaffes at the Nato summit on Thursday, when he introduced Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin” and described Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump”

Jill Biden’s grudge against Kamala Harris: Power-hungry first lady’s grudge is so deep that the only thing worse than Joe stepping down is the VP replacing him

When Kamala Harris took to the stage during a Democratic primary debate before the 2020 election and implied that Joe Biden was racist, his wife, Jill’s, response was crystal clear.

‘Go f**k yourself,’ the then-future first lady vented, as she allegedly admitted during a conference call with supporters.

And the relationship between the two women – that began badly enough during that contentious battle for the presidential nomination – has only gone downhill from there.

Michael Moore: ‘We Know What We Saw Something‘s Wrong‘ with Biden

Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore said Thursday on CNN’s “NewsNight” that voters saw something was wrong with President Joe Biden during the presidential debate.

Anchor Abby Phillip said, “My next guest has called Biden’s debate performance, quote, the cruelest form of elder abuse I have ever been forced to watch joining me now is Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore. Michael do you still feel that way? Is this still elder abuse after what you saw in the press conference tonight?”

Hakeem Jeffries meets with Biden after gaffe-filled presser, as nearly 20 House Dems tell prez to step aside

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met with President Biden on Thursday night after his gaffe-filled “big boy” press conference capped the NATO summit in Washington, DC — and just hours before an 18th House Democrat would come forward and call for the commander-in-chief to drop out of the 2024 race.

Jeffries (D-NY), in a “Dear Colleague” letter Friday morning, revealed that he “was graciously granted a private meeting” with the 81-year-old president.

Rachel Maddow Appears to Panic After Biden’s ‘Big Boy’ Press Conference

The stalemate in the Democratic Party is likely to continue for some time, as Joe Biden awkwardly made it through his “big boy” press conference. Biden may have done enough to survive for the time being—albeit barely—but at what cost? Democrats are still worried he’s going to lose big, and Joe Biden still believes that he is the Democrat best positioned to defeat Donald Trump.

Donors Tell Pro-Biden Super PAC Roughly $90 Million in Pledges Is Frozen

The decision to withhold such enormous sums of money is one of the most concrete examples of the fallout from President Biden’s poor debate performance at the end of June.

Some major Democratic donors have told the largest pro-Biden super PAC, Future Forward, that pledges worth roughly $90 million are now on hold if President Biden remains atop the ticket, according to two people who have been briefed on the conversations.

The frozen contributions include multiple eight-figure commitments, according to the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the situation. Biden’s gaffe has ruined months of our hard work, say European officials

Joe Biden’s gaffes have ruined months of hard work and undermined the Nato summit, diplomatic sources told The Telegraph.

On stage, Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz defended the president over a slip of the tongue in which he called Volodymyr Zelensky “President Putin”.

The US leader went on to call Kamala Harris “vice-president Trump”.
