Bankrupt Black City to Pay Reparations to Itself

“Eight out of every 10 people here are due some sort of reparation.”

While the eyes of the nation are on San Francisco’s proposal to pay every black person $5 million in reparations for an estimated total cost of $175 billion, Motor City won’t be left behind.

Last year, 80% of Detroit voters in a 78% black city cast their ballots in support of a reparations commission. That was much higher than 63% poll numbers but local election results tend to outperform the polls due to the civic work of the Wayne County Cemetery Voters Association.

Slavery, the Left, and Truth

And the Left’s Great Lie.

A generation of Americans is being raised on half-truths and lies about the history of slavery in America. They are given the impression that America was uniquely bad and that American slavery was uniquely bad. They learn nothing about slavery elsewhere. Among the many lies they are told are that “black slaves built America” and that America is systemically racist.

Since the only mortal enemy of the Left is truth, here are some truths about slavery.

Slavery: The Guardian may be guilty, but not the rest of us

IF you happen to pass the Guardian’s offices near King’s Cross this week and hear wailing, gnashing of teeth and rending of garments, don’t worry – it’s just the Graun in the throes of an extraordinary guilt trip.

Britain’s self-righteous bible of progressive, liberal-leftish wokery has been engulfed by hand-wringing turmoil after discovering that its 19th century founders had lucrative links to the transatlantic slave trade.

America Would Be A Better Place If We Taught The Truth About Slavery

Liberal Whites wallowing in revisionist histories have made Whites the racist pariahs of the world, and Americans are ranked the worst. Americans have themselves to blame. They can’t stop talking about slavery and racism, and now neither can African Americans. If woke educators have their way, all African Americans, present and future, will be obsessed with slavery and racism because it will be the center of American history. This will destroy America’s ability to hold together as a nation.

America is the only nation where people politick to make its long-dead slave past the center of its history. As a historical matter, it makes little sense when compared to the slave sins of other nations.

Reparations: The US town paying its black residents

Evanston, Illinois, is a quiet place in the middle of an unusual experiment.

In this university town just north of Chicago, a sheen of affluence glints through the windows of solid brick buildings downtown, while rainbow flags and “Black Lives Matter” placards dot what seems like every other suburban lawn.

Its population of 78,000 is diverse – about two-thirds white, nearly a fifth black, with sizeable Asian and Hispanic communities – and its politics, predictably, liberal. During the 2020 election, Donald Trump got less than a tenth of the vote here.

Stupid and unnecessary.

The Other Slavery exposes the 1619 Project’s fraud

According to Nikole Hannah-Jones’s myth , U.S. history didn’t really begin until August 1619, when about 20 slaves were sold to the governor of the Virginia colony by a British privateer. This “beginning of American slavery” is central to our nation’s history, Hannah-Jones argues, because black Americans would go on to become “the perfecters of this democracy.”

The problem is, like every claim Hannah-Jones makes, the claim that slavery began in America in 1619 is a fiction to begin with. Now, a new project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation is unintentionally exposing that fraud.

Advocates call for reparations for Black Americans

The ‘Why We Can’t Wait’ coalition is calling on President Biden to issue an executive order for a commission to study the legacy of slavery and consider reparations.

They created a visual display outside the White House ahead of Juneteenth, a U.S. holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.

Lawyers from the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America known as N’COBRA, advocates from Human Rights Watch and other members of the ‘Why We Can’t Wait’ coalition are taking their message right to the President’s home.

Harvard University pledges $100 million for slavery reparations

Harvard University released a report last week about the institution’s legacy of slavery and racism and pledged to spend $100 million to fund programs addressing its past wrongs.

The findings come some three years after Harvard President Larry Bacow began the initiative in 2019. On April 26, Bacow announced the findings and provided his recommendations for the university.

“The truth is that slavery played a significant part in our institutional history. The truth is that the legacy of slavery continues to influence the world in the form of disparities in education, health, wealth, income, social mobility, and almost any other metric we might use to measure equality,” said Bacow in a video announcement.

California’s reparations task force hits a serious snag in conundrum over who qualifies

According to a Sunday report in the San Francisco Chronicle, the author of the AB3121, California Secretary of State Shirley Weber, has maintained that descendants of slaves should be prioritized.

Weber distinguishes between the experiences of Black people who came to America “with their lineage intact” after slavery was abolished and those who were brought to or born in America as slaves, stating “all of our past was taken from us.”

Showtime’s new racial justice documentary is political propaganda

“What annoys me most about white people is when they pretend to play the victim,” says actress and comedian Amanda Seales. “What’s also annoying is when they kill us.” Those are the opening lines of a trailer for Showtime’s upcoming documentary, “Everything’s Gonna Be All White,” which seeks to confront “the facets of racism, exploitation and discrimination that contributed to the formation of America.”

‘I’ll Have Those [African Americans] Voting Democrat For 200 Years’

Of all the lies the Democrats tell black folks, the myth of impending reparations is the meanest. H.R. 40, the “reparations” bill, has been bouncing around Congress almost as long as Pelosi, and yet it never gets any traction. I’m not saying the government won’t some day follow through on this ridiculous plan but to do so at this point would mean the death of the Democrat Party and the Dems know it. White, Asian, and Hispanic voters (not the libs, of course) would flip. Then again, if the Dems can keep cheating in elections, they won’t need real votes.
