U.S. visa suspensions a warning Canadian trucking must heed: CTA

The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) is warning that while the U.S. suspension on new visas for foreign truck drivers won’t have much, if any, impact on Canadian drivers, it should be seen as a warning to industry to clean up its act.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X last week that the U.S. is immediately pausing the issuance of all visas to truck drivers which require them to operate in the U.S.

On occasion the CBC does good work. I expect those responsible for the trucker expose were executed however.

The body of the victim, only identified by the first name Lisa, was found in a roadside ditch in Amsterdam early last Wednesday, hours after she was attacked on her way home from a night out with friends.

Man’s sentencing improperly considered deportation risk, B.C. court rules

In March of 2024, a middle-aged man was having a cigarette outside his Surrey, B.C., social housing complex when he noticed Jae Won Lee, a 23-year-old Australian-born permanent resident of Canada, lifting the cover off another resident’s motorcycle.

The man approached Lee to ask what he was doing, to which Lee replied, “Mind your own business, old man.”

Lee then pulled out a knife with a six-inch blade and stabbed the man’s arm before chasing him into the building’s lobby, where he stabbed him in the abdomen.

BARCLAY: Liberal mass migration policies have eroded public safety in Canada and Alberta

Recently, Alberta’s Minister of Jobs, Economy, Trade, and Immigration, Joseph Schow, declared that Mark Carney’s Liberal government “has lost control over immigration” and warned that the Liberal government’s inability to effectively regulate the influx of international mass migration within Canada has imposed a severe strain upon “housing, healthcare, employment, and other public services” throughout Alberta.

Think tank urges parliament to allow open debate on immigration quotas

Parliament should allow free debate on immigration quotas without dismissing calls for reductions as racist, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute said Thursday.

The Ottawa think tank warned that Canada’s reluctance to face blunt disagreements on immigration has left the country “weakened to the point of serious decline.”

Latest Immigration Numbers Show Carney’s Liberals Still Using Canada As A 3rd World Cheap Labour Dumping Ground

Here’s what Canada’s latest immigration data reveals

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government has revealed the closely watched statistics on permanent and temporary resident trends after being accused for weeks by the Conservatives of withholding the data.
On Friday, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada updated its webpages with data on arrivals of asylum claimants, international students and foreign workers, as well as applications caught up in the department’s backlog.

Although there are still more than 2.2 million immigration applications awaiting a decision, the number of temporary residents — made up of international students, foreign workers and refugee claimants — declined in the first six months of 2025, compared to the same period last year.

Declined? Not by any material amount. Carney and his pal Wiseman are screwing us over as expected.  It is an act of evil.

The article is BULLSHIT PROPAGANDA excreted by the Star on demand.

This is not immigration, it is population replacement.

Today in “Canadian Truck Driver” News

Fugitive arrested at Toronto airport for crash that killed Manitoba mother, daughter: RCMP

A man who avoided Canadian authorities for more than nine months after being accused of driving a semi-trailer truck through a stop sign, causing a crash that killed a Manitoba mother and daughter, was arrested at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport on Thursday.

Navjeet Singh, 25, had been wanted since November for two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one count of obstructing a police officer.

Getting illegal truckers off the road

On August 12, an illegal alien from India killed three people in Florida. He wasn’t the “usual” criminal alien who raped or murdered. He was one of those illegals liberals salute for “working” whose “only” infraction was getting to the United States illegally. Lots of TikTok women on X will announce they have “no f-ing problem” with such “undocumenteds.”

Harjinder Singh killed those three people with a truck. He was driving a semi that made an illegal U-turn on a highway. Three people just happened to be in his way. (Although from India, Singh also failed the “xenophobic” regulations put in place two months ago by the Trump Administration requiring truckers to be literate in English).

Posh girls for illegal immigration

Zoe Gardner is the latest professional activist to sneer at working-class concerns about the migrant hotels.

The calibre of so-called progressives coming out to bat for illegal immigration amid growing anger over migrant hotels has been of a very low quality lately. So low in fact that they are making the situation worse.

I’ve been struck by just how many of the talking heads commissioned to appear on various current-affairs shows and radio phone-ins don’t appear to understand the migrant-hotels issue or why it’s provoking so much anger. Among the many low-calibre pundits in this vein one in particular has stood out: Zoe Gardner.

Britain’s Flag Wars Fly in the Face of National Self-Loathing

Until a few weeks ago, you were more likely to see a Palestinian, Ukrainian, or LGBT pride flag flying in London than to see any of the UK’s own colours. Now, thanks to a grassroots movement called Operation Raise the Colours, that could be changing.

Union Jacks and St. George’s flags have been cropping up across the country over the last few weeks, being hung on lampposts by groups of patriots. The movement appears to have begun in Birmingham, organised online, before spreading to Norwich, Bradford, Newcastle, Swindon, and even London.

Majority Say Immigrants Must Adopt Canadian Values

“Local norms”

Across age and party lines, most Canadians think immigrants should embrace local norms

New polling from Research Co shows how Canadians currently feel about immigration, with many saying immigration levels should be reduced and even more saying immigrants should have to adopt Canadian values to live here.

Overall, Canadians are divided on whether immigration has a mostly positive or mostly negative effect on the country. Forty-three percent say it is positive, while 39 percent say it is negative.

Furious anti-migrant campaigners face off with counter-demonstrators in Portsmouth

Anti-migrant protesters waving Union flags faced off with counter-demonstrators in Portsmouth city centre today as police brace for a weekend of rallies.

Police watched as people on each side gathered on the steps outside the council offices in the Hampshire city.

One protester tied a large flag of St George to the balcony which had on it the words ‘Born in England, Live in England, Die in England’.

Chow says Toronto will face a $107M shortfall if feds don’t provide more funding for refugee supports

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow is speaking out after recently learning that the federal government plans to only provide a quarter of the funding the city requires to cover the costs of providing interim housing for refugees and asylum seekers.

In a letter addressed to her City Council colleagues, Chow said the feds notified the City of Toronto that they would be paying out only 26 per cent of what Toronto projects to spend on shelter costs for refugees and asylum seekers in 2025.

In the note, Chow suggests that the shortfall amounts to a “cut.”

Wave of protests planned at up to 30 migrant hotels this weekend

Asylum hotels across the country will be hit by a wave of anti-immigration protests over the next three days, The Times understands.

Dozens of demonstrations are being planned after a High Court judge ordered the removal of migrants from a hotel in Essex.

Hotels in Chichester, Cannock, Wakefield and Tamworth are believed to be among the main targets as communities seek to replicate the results of the landmark ruling on Tuesday.

Philip Cross: Why is youth unemployment so high? Government policies

Young people are struggling in the labour market for two main reasons: high immigration and high minimum wages

Young people have borne the brunt of the recent deterioration in Canada’s labour market. Youth unemployment usually runs at about twice the rate for adults, reflecting young workers’ lower productivity and inexperience at searching for a job. But now it’s nearly three times the rate for adults, which puts it at “crisis levels” according to some commentators.

The likely cause of this crisis? Government programs that have raised the minimum wage and sharply increased the supply of low-skilled foreign workers.

Our Titans of Industry, our so called “Business leaders” demanded and received more cheap foreign labour than was ever needed with no questions asked from the Liberal government.

They sold us out, all of us.
