The Media Lies

It was nearly 2 a.m. on the East Coast in the middle of election night when CNN’s Jake Tapper stood across from professional virtual-map operator John King and asked a simple question: “Are there any places where Kamala Harris overperformed from where Biden did?”

Tapping away from a view of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, King zoomed out to a view of the entire United States and hit a key to show a comparison to the 2020 election. The map instantly turned a solid dark gray, without a single county highlighted.

“Holy smokes,” Tapper gasped. “Literally nothing? Literally not one county?”

The 2024 election sent serious shock waves through the badly named “mainstream media.” The American mainstream has rejected the Democrat media establishment, finding them untrustworthy to “save democracy.” It’s more like arrogantly manipulating democracy. They through every rock and every kitchen sink at Donald Trump, and they lost. Is it time to say goodbye?

It’s official! Chuck Todd is finally donezo at NBC!

According to Variety, the longtime NBC News correspondent and former moderator of Meet the Press is leaving the network for good: “Chuck Todd, the former Meet the Press moderator, is leaving NBC News, he told colleagues in a memo issued Friday, a move he’s making in order to pursue ventures outside the NBCUniversal empire.” 

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr opened up a probe of NPR and PBS Thursday over their airing of commercial announcements. The New York Times warned of a “politicized” debate over public broadcasting. They don’t want any debate. To suggest it tilts left “politicizes” it. But somehow, to tilt left is….not politicizing things? Apparently, liberal bias is the desirable norm. Anything the disrupts it is “politicized.”

When it comes to cable TV news ratings, it’s usually easy come, easy go. Some days you are up, and some days you are down. That’s the nature of the business. But what has happened to liberal-leftish MSNBC since Donald Trump’s election victory a few weeks ago is looking less like a rollercoaster ride, and more like a fall from an aeroplane without a parachute.

Panic engulfed MSNBC headquarters on Wednesday after parent company Comcast confirmed a massive spinoff of its cable properties — with a top executive even suggesting the left-leaning network may be forced to change its name.

MSNBC stars Rachel Maddow, Chris Jansing and Katy Tur joined a tense 10 a.m. meeting at 30 Rock in Midtown led by NBCUniversal chairman Mark Lazarus, who will lead the new company, sources told The Post.
