Let’s get real: Shamima Begum is a traitor

The treatment of Ms Begum as a victim – of groomers, of racist Tories – is perverse.

So, the Shamima Begum Welcome Committee can stand down. Those commentators and activists who devoted a bizarre amount of energy to depicting Ms Begum as a victim – of Islamo-groomers, of evil Tories, of good ol’ British racism – can put away their confetti and balloons. She isn’t coming home. The Supreme Court has ruled that it was well within the government’s rights to rescind Begum’s citizenship and block her from returning to the UK. The identitarians will have to find a new victim to rally behind, hopefully not one who was complicit in slavery, murderous homophobia and violent religious supremacy this time.

‘Gaping’ holes in law let extremists turn people into terrorists, warns former police chief

New joint report with terror tsar calls for tighter rules to stop spread of hate online

Extremists who turn young people to terrorism are operating with impunity in the UK because of a “gaping chasm” in the law, the UK’s former counter-terror chief has said.

In a report to be presented to ministers, Sir Mark Rowley said the UK’s laws were so ill-defined that hate preachers such as Anjem Choudary had been able to get away with recruiting hundreds of young people to terrorism without being prosecuted and were still able to do so.

He cited cases of how extremists could use social media to glorify terrorism by Islamic State (IS) murderers and evade prosecution as long as they avoided “encouraging the commission, preparation, or instigation of acts of terrorism”.

ISIS Slag Shamima Begum loses fight to restore UK citizenship after supreme court ruling

Shamima Begum, who fled Britain as a schoolgirl to join Islamic State in Syria, has failed to restore her British citizenship after the supreme court ruled she had lost her case.

The judgment on Friday from the UK’s highest court is a critical – and controversial – test case of the UK’s policy to strip the citizenship of Britons who went to join Isis and are being detained by Syrian Kurdish groups without trial.

Do the police know the difference between offensive and offence?

Do the police know the difference between offensive and offence?

Farcical scenes on the Wirral, where the police have apologised for a billboard reading “BEING OFFENSIVE IS AN OFFENCE”. Superintendent Martin Earl announced that this alarming declaration “although well-intentioned was incorrect.” Earl stressed, at some length, the importance of combatting hate, the outstanding credentials of the local “Hate Crime Co-ordinators”, and so on, but made sure to “clarify that ‘being offensive’ is not in itself an offence.” Nevertheless, it raises a question: Where on earth did Wirral Police get such a strange idea in the first place?

British private schools are being bought by CCP linked Chinese firms with communist-approved lessons slipped into curriculum

Hundreds of independent schools left in dire financial straits by the coronavirus pandemic are being targeted by Chinese investors, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Seventeen schools are already owned by Chinese companies, but that number is set to rocket. Amid rising concern about Beijing’s tentacles reaching into British classrooms, an investigation by this newspaper can reveal…

Why is the BBC so scared of criticising Islam?

The Beeb’s removal of a clip featuring the new head of the Muslim Council of Britain is a chilling sign of the times.

If you want to understand what’s going wrong at the BBC right now, you could do worse than look at the bizarre Zara Mohammed controversy. The Beeb has removed from social media a clip of Ms Mohammed, the new head of the Muslim Council of Britain, being interviewed on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour. Cancel-culture mobs had complained that the interview was a form of ‘bullying’ and that it had undertones of ‘Islamophobia’. And now the BBC has caved to these crazy, unfounded criticisms and shoved the interview clip in the memory hole. This reveals a lot about the great moral anchoring of the BBC in the 21st century.

Somalian double rapist can stay in UK after winning deportation battle as judge says he will face ‘degrading’ treatment in home nation due to his mental health

A Somalian double rapist has been allowed to stay in the UK on human rights grounds after a judge said he would face ‘degrading’ treatment in his home country due to his mental health.

The 49-year-old arrived in Britain in 2004 and claimed asylum, but the Home Office sought to deport him after he amassed eight convictions in the space of six years.

Robbery, trying to pervert the course of justice, and raping two different women were among his offences.

Britain’s ‘Jihad Seeker’s Allowance’

Few relationships feature one party that freely gives and another party that only takes as blatantly as the relationship between the West and Islam.  Thus, according to a Feb. 1, 2021 report, “The British taxpayer has shelled out over £15,000 to the widow of the mastermind behind the 2017 London Bridge terror attack, while the families of victims were denied similar financial support.”

During that attack, Zahrah Rehman’s husband, Khuram Butt, and two other Muslims, killed eight people and injured another 48, by running over them with a van and stabbing them with knives.  If police had not managed to shoot and kill the three terrorists, many more passersby would likely have been killed.

UK expelled Chinese journalists ‘working as spies’

Three journalists who were allegedly working as spies for China were asked to leave the UK last year.

Their departure, first reported by the Daily Telegraph, came because they had arrived under journalism visas but were believed to be working for the Ministry of State Security, part of China’s intelligence apparatus.

Their departure was low-key and did not come in the past few months.

The Home Office declined to comment on the reports.

UK: So Called “Migrants” Burn Napier Barracks

‘These barracks were good enough for our brave soldiers’: Priti slams migrants held at ex-army barracks as they ‘start riot, torch buildings and threaten staff after being told they would no longer be transferred to hotels after Covid outbreak’

Priti Patel has tonight slammed the behaviour of migrants held at a former army barracks-turned asylum seeker accommodation site, amid reports that a 100-strong group started a riot, torched buildings and threatened staff.

The Home Secretary strongly condemned the unrest at Napier Barracks in Folkestone, Kent, which reportedly broke out after migrants were told they would no longer be transferred to hotels after a Covid outbreak.

She described the behaviour of those involved as ‘deeply offensive to the taxpayers of this country’ and said it was an ‘insult’ to suggest the site, formerly home to British soldiers, was ‘not good enough’ for asylum seekers.

Islamophobia! Peterborough mosque’s call to prayer loudspeakers plan rejected

Plans to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer through loudspeakers three times a day to a city neighbourhood have been rejected.

The Masjid Ghousia mosque on Gladstone Street in Peterborough applied to the city council to install the speakers on one of its minarets.

Planning permission has been refused on the grounds it would be “an unwelcome intrusion on the soundscape”.
