On Sunday evening, President-elect Donald Trump wrote that the United States owning Greenland “is an absolute necessity.”
Trump made the remark in a lengthy post announcing Ken Howery as his nominee to serve as ambassador to Denmark. Howery previously served as ambassador to Sweden.

Their initial target, according to Vice President-elect J.D.Vance, will be 1.0 million criminal aliens per year, focusing on those already legally ordered to leave America and not return.

It is certainly possible to hope that the inauguration of Donald J. Trump will be greeted by a resurgence of the American spirit, from new inventions to a revival of entrepreneurial drive and the renewal of American industry and crafts. Trump may well be right that the mere threat of tariffs may reverse the flow of blue-collar jobs abroad while helping ensure the safety and integrity of vital supply chains that are essential to 21st-century industrial production.
He is certainly right that restoring competitive balance between America and its trade partners abroad, and between monopolistic corporations and small producers at home, is essential to growing and maintaining healthy communities where Americans can work and raise children, who in turn might better their communities. It is hard to argue with the idea that reforming the country’s disastrous attempts at trade and industrial policy while getting poisons out of its food, water and air are necessary steps towards a better American future.

David Cohen told CBC’s The House in 2022 that Canadians felt “betrayed” because “they don’t think their affection and respect for the United States has been reciprocated by the United States.”
Most Canadians can take a joke and given Trump is more popular than Trudeau we’re laughing with the President.
Trump’s Border Czar Says Canada’s Immigration Laws Are ‘Too Lax’
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s border czar said while he has had good conversations with Canadian officials around border security, the country’s immigration laws are still “too lax.”
“It’s pretty easy to get into Canada. Not a lot of screening is done, not compared to the United States,” Tom Homan said in an interview with CTV’ Power Play program, recalling a conversation he recently had with two Canadian ministers.
“I’m talking about those who would come in just to get to Canada and transit to the United States. I think they need to be screened right before we let them in. Of course, that’s up to Canada to change those rules.”

New York man pleads guilty to running Chinese police station in Manhattan
A New York man has pleaded guilty to running a undeclared police station for the Chinese government in lower Manhattan, more than a year after the US justice department unveiled efforts aimed at disrupting Beijing’s efforts to locate and suppress Chinese American pro-democracy activists.
Chen Jinping, 60, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiring to act as an agent of the government of the People’s Republic of China, in connection with opening and operating an overseas police station for the PRC’s ministry of public security, or MPS.
Chen, who pleaded guilty for acting as an illegal agent, faces five years in prison when he is sentenced next year.
None of his Canadian counterparts have even been looked at funny.

Unless the left throws us a massive curve on Jan. 6 or sometime before Jan. 20, which is possible but unlikely, the Biden-Harris regime has just under five weeks left before it is consigned to the dustbin of history. Are five weeks enough to stamp out “Islamophobia,” which the left has been whining about since even before 9/11? Or does the regime intend to give deep state bureaucrats marching orders that it will follow, under the radar, during the incoming Trump administration? Or is the whole thing just grandstanding?
