Cuba acknowledges secret meetings with U.S. as Trump dials up threats

Amid crippling U.S. sanctions, an oil blockade and threats of a takeover, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Friday said his government has held direct talks with the United States “aimed at finding solutions through dialogue to the bilateral differences between the two nations.”

The acknowledgment came in a publicly broadcast speech during a meeting in Havana of the top levels of the government and Cuban Communist Party. It confirmed widespread reports of recent secret meetings between senior Trump administration officials and Cubans close to Raúl Castro, the still-influential former president and party head.

Imam to Muslims at Minnesota mosque: ‘We are their replacement’

An imam told worshippers at a Twin Cities mosque that Muslims are the “replacement” for those who once held positions of privilege in America, declaring during a sermon that “this is our moment.”

Imam Abdul Malik delivered the remarks on Jan. 23 at the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center in Bloomington, where he urged Muslims in Minnesota to seek positions of influence across American institutions — including mayor, police chief, congressional leadership and even the presidency.

US approval of Britain plunges to record low

US approval of Britain has plummeted to a record low as Donald Trump supporters shun Sir Keir Starmer, new data shows.

The share of Americans who have a positive view of the UK has plummeted to 76pc this year from 84pc, according to polling by Gallup.

This is the lowest level since at least 1987 and the first time the share has ever fallen below 80pc. Over the last four decades, the number has averaged 88pc.

We the People Never Voted for Mass Islamic Immigration

Societal transformation without representation.

“Islam is largely alien to American history—it certainly didn’t come into the United States on the Mayflower,” freshman Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Tex.) observed last month. Gill continued: “It’s something that we deliberately imported as a matter of immigration policy into our country.”

Quite right. But who, exactly, is the “we” who implemented such a reckless—indeed, suicidal—act of mass cultural importation? It’s a frustratingly difficult question—and one we ought to be asking, especially in light of recent events.

Belmont Club: Regime Change

One of the reasons regime change is so risky is that the downside risk very often dominates upside potential. As we know from the Anna Karenina Principle, named from Leo Tolstoy’s novel, to get something right, all key factors must be present, while failure can occur by simply lacking just one. “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way,” goes the famous quote. The chances of casting Scrabble tiles on a board and, through chance, forming an actual word are much lower than the odds of getting gibberish.

Trump Is Dismantling Xi’s ‘China Dream’ One Piece At A Time

We are barely into March 2026, yet President Donald Trump’s bold foreign policy has already delivered a series of body blows to Xi Jinping’s grand vision for China’s global dominance.

Since assuming power in 2012, Xi has promoted the “China Dream” — a nationalist narrative of national rejuvenation that envisions China supplanting the United States as the world’s preeminent superpower. Central to this is his conviction that the “East is rising and the West is declining,” a belief that has shaped over a decade of CCP propaganda, military buildup, and assertive diplomacy. Xi discarded Deng Xiaoping’s prudent “hide your strength, bide your time” approach in favor of an assertive foreign policy posture, such as militarizing the South China Sea, coercing neighbors like the Philippines and Vietnam, and expanding arms exports to build influence in the Global South.

If Saudi Arabia Wants U.S. Alliance, It Must End Support for Sudanese Armed Forces — Aligned with Muslim Brotherhood and Iran — Not Fund It

Sudan’s ongoing civil war is not just a clash between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their former military allies-turned rivals, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). It is a calculated power grab by the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood, recently listed by the US as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT). The US announced plans to formally classify the group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) starting March 16, 2026, and accused it of carrying out mass violence against civilians during Sudan’s ongoing war. Meanwhile, the terrorist organization appears to be using the SAF as a Trojan horse to dominate northeast Africa and the Red Sea – a critical artery for global commerce.
