US Administration Abandons Israel, Empowers Enemies

In an unprecedented move in US governance, the Biden administration has embarked on a policy that departs from its longstanding support for Israel.

Instead, there is a discernible tilt towards policies that favor the adversaries of the United States, notably Iran and its proxies such as Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as China and Russia. This strategic realignment marks a significant shift in US foreign policy and has generated a substantial risk both domestically and internationally.

I spent years studying American communism. Here’s what I learned

I was struck by the mystery of why so many intelligent and admirable people remained so loyal for so long to a fundamentally flawed movement

I’ll leave it to future historians to puzzle out the reasons why, but in the second decade of the 21st century, in the unlikely setting of the most thoroughly capitalist country in world history, large numbers of Americans, mostly young, displayed a new interest in socialist ideas, values and policy proposals, and in turn in the often neglected history of socialism and communism in the United States.

Having written three books early in my scholarly career dealing with one or another aspect of the tangled history of American communism, the last appearing in 1990, I figured I’d said all I had to say on the subject, and turned to other topics. Enough time had passed by the time of the 2010s socialist revival that the several score ageing communists and ex-communists whom I’d interviewed for my early books were now long dead.

The Left’s Noncitizen Voting Gambit

Despite Jen Psaki’s smirking dismissal, the SAVE Act is necessary.

Last Sunday, Jen Psaki — having retired from her position as a Biden mouthpiece in the White House in favor of a more glamorous, better-paid position as a Biden mouthpiece on MSNBC — took to the airwaves to denounce the most recent dangerous right-wing conspiracy theory: noncitizens voting in U.S. elections. Blasting the SAVE Act — a new GOP bill that would “requir[e] proof of citizenship for voter registration” — as “the latest chapter in the MAGA effort to spread doubt about the integrity of our elections,” Psaki scoffed…

Former NIH Head Francis Collins Admits Covid Origins Not Settled, No Science to Back Social-Distance Guidance

The nation’s top public health official during the Covid-19 pandemic admitted that the origins of the coronavirus remain up for debate, the lab-leak theory is not a conspiracy, and that there was no scientific evidence to support the government’s social-distancing guidance.

Former National Institutes of Health director Dr. Francis Collins testified behind closed-doors earlier this year and made those admissions to the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, according to a transcript and accompanying subcommittee memo provided to National Review.

Lack of operational control at northern border poses national security threats

Greatest number of terrorist watch list individuals being apprehended at northern border

(The Center Square) – The northern border largely has been unmanned and understaffed for decades as federal reports issue conflicting conclusions about how much, or how little, operational control exists.

Some officials have suggested the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has just 1% operational control over the northern border after a 2019 General Accounting Office audit of U.S. Customs and Border northern border operations. But a December 2022 DHS report claimed, “The Border Patrol is better staffed today than at any time in its 87-year history,” noting no surveillance of extensive parts of the northern border existed prior to 9/11.

Trump Faces Troubles, But Biden Campaign is Dead in the Water

On Nov. 5, 2023, the New York Times published a story headlined, “Trump Leads in 5 Critical States as Voters Blast Biden, Times/Siena Poll Finds.” Focusing on the states most likely to decide the 2024 election, the Times reported, “The results show Mr. Biden is losing to Mr. Trump, his likeliest Republican rival, by margins of four to 10 percentage points among registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Mr. Biden is ahead only in Wisconsin, by two percentage points, the poll found.”

America’s Unprotected Class

Three years ago, the left-wing mayor of a Budapest district oversaw the erection of a statue in honor of the U.S. Black Lives Matter movement. When journalists asked her for the point of putting up a monument to BLM, given that Hungary has very few black people, the politician said, “The BLM goals of opposing racism and police brutality are just as relevant in Hungary as anywhere else.”

The unusual Budapest statue (which was destroyed quickly after it was erected) was but one of hundreds of pro-BLM European demonstrations following the death of George Floyd. American racial conflicts have a way of going global in the age of worldwide mass media, as if left-wing crowds in Britain and continental Europe were connected by a central nervous system.

Ozempic has shrunk the American Dream

The US has gone off its imperial dinner

Much has been made of Ozempic face. The eponymous visage resulting from monthly injections of a weight-dissolving amino acid has generated endless fodder for social media and the tabloids, which have revelled in the grotesqueries of John Goodman, Robbie Williams and the poster child of the gaunt and ghostly look — Sharon Osbourne. There’s nothing quite as stimulating of schadenfreude as the tell-tale sagging of fat-starved skin, a calamity that might be rectified by fillers such as Sculptra and Restylane, by drinking two quarts of water a day, or, God forbid, by eating lunch.

Despite the risk of public shame and the menace of non-reimbursable insurance cost ($1,349 a month for Wegovy and $1,060 a month for Zepbound), steep demand has sent the stock market valuations of Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly through the stratosphere of the S&P 500. Not since the debut of Viagra has there been such hype in pharma, raising questions as to whether Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk can produce enough of the magical elixir, as demand outstrips supply.

Christian Veteran Now Facing Hate Crime Charge for Toppling Satanic Display

The former Navy pilot is looking at 5 years in prison thanks to Soros-backed D.A.

FrontPage Mag readers may recall that back in December I wrote about Michael Cassidy, a conservative Christian and former Navy pilot who tore down a Satanic altar competing with a Christmas display of the Nativity in the Iowa State Capitol. Originally charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, Cassidy was subsequently hit with a hate crime charge by Polk County Democrat Attorney Kimberly Graham, a prosecutor funded by – surprise – left-wing billionaire financier George Soros. Cassidy is now looking at a possible five years in prison.

A Betrayal for the Ages: As the Biden Administration Turns on Israel, the Trump Campaign Begins To Look Like a Juggernaut

Almost every week there is accumulating evidence that the decline of the Biden reelection campaign is accelerating. As the Biden polls deteriorate, the administration, instead of making policy course corrections that could be assumed to improve the president’s appeal to traditional Democratic voters, is doubling down on positions on which it knows the country disapproves.

Rashida Tlaib calls on ICC to arrest Netanyahu; US Senators tell ICC to back down

Democratic representative and “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), called for the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for what she alleges are violations of the Genocide Convention.

In a statement last week, Tlaib condemned the Israeli government for its current military operation in Rafah, in the southern Gaza strip, and insinuated that the US was complicit due to the funding it provides Israel.

The Great Panic

Ever since the Hamas attacks on October 7th, 2023, the American empire has been convulsed by increasingly deranged tremors. The Israelis adopted a policy that on the surface makes little sense. All it has done is poison relations with the Arabs and much of the world. In America, both political parties have gone nuts in response to the attacks, Israel’s response, and the reaction to that response. Peak madness may be Lindsey Graham suggesting Israel uses nukes on Gaza.

Interesting article that try’s to make sense of a very confused field of play.

Canada’s Gun ‘Emergency’ Not So Urgent After All

While there are profound similarities between Canada and the United States, we would do well to remember that those cultural similarities simply hide the profound differences. And, of course, there are governmental differences as well.

For example, they don’t have a Second Amendment. There is nothing there to limit the government and preserve the right to keep and bear arms.

More than that, though, in the wake of Nova Scotia, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared that he needed to unilaterally do something about guns. It was an emergency.

An op-ed at the Canadian publication The Globe and Mail, however, is questioning that now.
