While Xi and Putin Argue Over Pipeline, U.S. Keeps Chokehold on China’s Energy

Vladimir Putin wrapped up his summit in Beijing with Xi Jinping on May 20, the Russian leader’s 25th visit to China.

Putin walked away with more than 40 agreements, but he did not leave with the prize he has long sought.

As an initial matter, forget about the pacts that were inked. “When you look at all the ‘agreements,’ they are only memoranda of understanding,” Dmitri Alperovitch, chairman of Silverado Policy Accelerator, said to Gatestone. “In other words, they are merely invitations to talk more.”

The Islamic Center of San Diego’s Jihadist Legacy

The Islamic Center of San Diego’s Jihadist Legacy

The deadly shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD), a.k.a. Masjid Abu Bakr, has once again placed the mosque in the national spotlight. Authorities say the attack, which left three people dead, is being investigated as a ‘hate crime.’ The incident unsettled the San Diego community and prompted widespread condemnation from public officials and religious leaders alike.

But while the recent violence has generated sympathy and headlines, ICSD has long carried a controversial history that stretches back decades – including connections to 9/11 hijackers, terrorist financiers, and radical figures tied to some of the deadliest acts of terrorism ever committed on American soil.

Trump’s secret NATO ultimatum sparks panic as US ‘pulls jets, bombers and EVERY submarine from Europe’

Trump’s secret NATO ultimatum sparks panic as US ‘pulls jets, bombers and EVERY submarine from Europe’

Donald Trump is set to slash the arsenal of US fighter jets, warships and submarines reserved for NATO allies should a military crisis erupt in Europe.

A military envoy sent by Pete Hegseth blindsided senior NATO officials in a classified Brussels briefing late last week, revealing US firepower committed to defending Europe will significantly decline, Der Spiegel and Reuters reported.

The US fighter jet commitment to NATO is to be slashed by a third, while the Navy will withdraw destroyers from the alliance’s pool.

Privy Council report finds Canadians doubt Carney can end U.S. tariffs

Privy Council report finds Canadians doubt Carney can end U.S. tariffs

Canadians increasingly believe U.S. tariffs are here to stay despite repeated promises from Prime Minister Mark Carney that Ottawa can negotiate a better trade deal with Washington, according to newly released Privy Council research.

Blacklock’s Reporter says federal focus groups found little confidence the Liberal government would succeed in convincing the United States to eliminate tariffs on Canadian goods, with many participants saying the measures are now a permanent part of American economic policy.

I get the feeling that the LPC and their media are running a psyop attempting to convince Canadians they are upbeat about the future.

Record insolvencies, youth fleeing for the US where unlike Canada they have a shot at owning a home and building a future, a growing number of households with food and rent exceeding monthly income, criminal governance by a business and political elite that have used mass immigration for their own monetary gain and agendas, foreign criminals waltzing into our nation and receiving a slap on the wrist for their crimes so their immigration status isn’t compromised.

I could go on.

There is a reason the LPC wants to limit free speech.

Truck drivers say ‘racism’ behind Trump administration’s license restrictions on immigrants

Truck drivers say ‘racism’ behind Trump administration’s license restrictions on immigrants

Nearly 200,000 US truck drivers are at risk of losing their commercial driver’s licenses after the US Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a new rule that disqualifies many foreign-born truck drivers from getting or renewing their licenses.

Tens of thousands of immigrant drivers are stuck in a limbo after the rule took effect in March, and lawsuits challenging the rule are still being reviewed by federal courts.

The rule restricts licenses to immigrants who have specific employment authorization statuses, disqualifying those with other authorizations, including asylum seekers, refugees and those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (Daca) status.

The horror! It’s racist to demand that drivers can actually drive or need to speak English or not be an illegal alien invader!

The trucking companies and of course politicians share the blame for this mess which is why new legislation holds the brokers responsible for the accidents caused by their dangerous foreign labour drivers.

Canadians are folding on Vegas. Democrats see a royal flush.

Canadians are folding on Vegas. Democrats see a royal flush.

President Donald Trump’s trade war has driven Canadians from Las Vegas. Democrats think it will help them protect their Nevada battleground seats in November.

Last year, as Trump levied tariffs on Canada, visits from Canadians — who account for up to half of Las Vegas’ foreign tourism — dropped off by 17 percent. That played a large role in a 7.5 percent year-over-year decline in total tourist visits, making 2025 the worst non-pandemic year for Las Vegas since the city started tracking data in 1970. Now, as peak tourism season arrives in a battleground state where Republicans’ control of the House could be won or lost, Democrats are pushing voters to see the tourism slump as a direct impact of Trump’s levies.

Canada’s Silent Brain Drain’: Young Professionals Fleeing to the US for More Opportunities, Report Finds

Canada is quietly falling victim to “brain drain,” a trend marked by the ever-increasing exodus of well-educated young professionals to other countries, particularly the United States, a new report suggests.

Canada has a strong record of educating and training globally competitive workers and entrepreneurs, but struggles to retain them because of higher personal and business taxes as well as a lack of venture capital for startups compared to the United States, according to a new report by TD Economics titled, “Canada’s Silent Brain Drain.”

Europe’s Freeloading Days Are Over: America Demands Reciprocity

Europe’s Freeloading Days Are Over: America Demands Reciprocity

Since the end of World War II, the United States has spent trillions of dollars defending Europe. After defeating the Nazis, America rebuilt the European continent with the Marshall Plan and shielded it from Soviet aggression while propping up European economies through subsidies and investments.

We bailed out failing governments. We airlifted food into Berlin when it was being choked off by the Soviet Union. We sent military aid. We ultimately saved Europe from communism.

Greenland now: US control or not?

Greenland now: US control or not?

In the global competition for natural resources, the United States is still seeking to increase its influence in Greenland. For months, President Donald Trump kept up the pressure on the island, culminating last January when he declared there was “no going back” in his quest to obtain the territory. He also gave journalists the headline they were looking for when he declined to rule out clearly the use of military force. Trump dialled back his rhetoric at the World Economic Forum in Davos, after strong pushback from European countries – led by the “former” colonial power Denmark – and unease from domestic allies over his language.

‘The Great Escape’ and Islam

‘The Great Escape’ and Islam

In honor of Memorial Day, I convinced my teenage sons to watch the classic 1963 film, The Great Escape, starring Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, and a slew of other stars of the time. A great movie, but watching it also pointed out some other sad and dangerous truths that we should remember not only on this Memorial Day as we remember America’s fallen soldiers, but at all times during the challenging days in which we live.

J.D. Tuccille: Most Americans think the best is behind them

J.D. Tuccille: Most Americans think the best is behind them

It’s a major anniversary year for the U.S., which marks 250 years as an independent nation. But many Americans aren’t in the mood to celebrate. Most think the quarter-millennium of existence enjoyed by the country was the best time we’re likely to see, and that the future is bound to be grim.

In recent polling, reports Pew Research’s Blen Wondimu, “59% of Americans say the country’s best years are behind us, while 40% say its best years are ahead.” Forty-four per cent report feeling very or somewhat pessimistic about what the U.S. will be like in 50 years, as opposed to 28 per cent who feel optimistic and 27 per cent who just aren’t sure.

n what must be the Mother of All Ingratitude, the daughter of a Hmong family that fled communist horrors in Laos, and then spent a lifetime on welfare in the U.S., courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer, is running for Congress to represent the wealthy area south of Sacramento, California.

But she refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance, claiming the U.S, is too flawed to merit it, and actually turns her back to the U.S. flag.

Cuba’s Cheerleaders Finally Face Gov Investigation

Cuba’s Cheerleaders Finally Face Gov Investigation

On paper, we have all sorts of sanctions on enemy nations like Cuba, North Korea or Iran, in practice there’s a revolving door of influencers, celebrities and media types who prop them up. The Cuba situation is especially egregious with half of Hollywood having sat down to chats with Castro and the current mayor of LA, among many other elected officials and activists, having gone to Cuba with Marxist front groups.
